Thanks for making this video. I was considering taking my headlights out in order to sand and buff out the damage. I'm going to use blue tape to mask them off instead. LOL
Thanks a lot for this video! I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to unclip the harness from the headlight and you made it crystal clear!! Thanks again!
+World Mechanics Spot on! Even though some of the screw positions were different. Your video gave me the confidence to know what I needed to do. Thanks again :)
You guys did a good job.......But you did it the LONG WAYalways take the bumper-trim piece off....will save you from "going around your ass to get to your elbow"
@Karl von Bahnhof space is very limited. If you want to install the bulbs correctly you need to remove the headlights assembly. For this you have to remove the plastic trim inside the bumper to get access to the bolt or by just loosening the bumper on the sides.
You did not need to remove the bumper ... you can just remove the false plate that is below each headlight in order to get access to that last screw that is behind it, which is holding up each headlight.

How? Mine is stuck. Might just wreck the clip
These guys are the best. Very impressed, was able to do this with no problem.
Great video guys, I have a 2005 mk5 golf, hope to try this out tomorrow!
+Weelki Thank you. We are glad the video was helpful. Did it work out?

Thank you so much. I'll do that right away!!
Perfecto.....thanks guys
If you take off the trim piece under the headlight you can access that 3rd bolt without having to remove the gender liner
Oh
How do you take off the trim piece?
BUT HOW??
Great video thanks!
Many Thanks!
Good job.

All this work to replace headlight?! Is that "famous" german engineering???

you are right , i have done this without removing the whole front end
You don't have to remove the bumper! 😮 take off the trim piece under the headlights! 👍
Nice, and how do you remove the trim piece?
hey guys what about a 2016 VW Passat?
Como los saco si el clip que quitas con el desarmado está roto ?
cheers guys , what a pain, VW need to learn how to make cars again.
And bumper
You can just open the hood and get it out tho?
headlight, not bulb
You don't have to take off the whole bumber LOL just take off the trim pieces 🤣
You definitely do not remove the entire bumper to change the headlights. Maybe loose bumper from the sides but not entirely off
holy fucking shit well im not changing the headlight on these
pull the whole front end off it , and i thought Chevrolet's were difficult to work on . jesus. had i known this i would have never bought the car
Thick Russian accent. Removing clip at the end flat head screwdriver twist until you hear click then pull just like connector to ignition coil
You dont need to remove the bumper, theres a trim on the bumper..just pop it off, head light fixings are inside
