This is one your best interviews. I have been a sports fan for over 50 years. I even learned so much in this interview with Dan Patrick.
Game changer on not just interviews but just communication. ❤

I’ve watched Dan Patrick since he was on CNN in Atlanta where I live. He and Fred Hickman were awesome. Some of his best work in Atlanta was doing sports with 96 Rock in the mornings on our drive to school or work. The Big Show was obviously off the charts and I do remember the first night I heard “Hello”. Dan is simply a treasure.

Dang!! WTH!! What a freaking show! You girls rock! I’m a fedex driver. I listen to sports radio all day. The shows that are on are freaking horrible. Cowherd is pretty good! Dan Patrick is alright. I wish you girls were on the radio. I love that you girls don’t overdo it or pretend you know everything! You girls freaking rock! Subscribing to ur show and podcast!

The best part of the DP show is his interviews. He gets people that don’t normally interviews to come back and do it on his shows. Nick Sabin, Coach K, are good examples. NS said that he does his interviews because he trust DP to ask fair questions and won’t throw him under the bus. Trust! I notice DP always starts his interviews with an off the wall, humorous questions to loosen the guest up and then ease into the hard hitting questions. Great technique.

Dan is the best! From morning drives many moons ago listening to "Curry and Pugh" (Dan was Pugh) on the radio to getting pissed off every time his current show would play musical chairs with tv "networks". Serious when needed but blessed with the greatest timing for levity to keep you coming back for more. Thanks Dan!

I really like the parallels of just being performers. I'm a musician and had a lot of the same hangups when I was younger. Now I know 99% of the audience doesn't care and won't notice mistakes. I'm just here to put on a great show. And if the overall vibe is what I wanted, all is good. I acknowledge the mistakes and use it to improve the next show.

I've watched this interview twice and ugly cried listening to y'all talk with Dan. This man single handedly made my middle school and high school years so memorable when he and Keith Olbermann were on Sports Center. I hope he comes back again soon. When he announced his retirement in December 2027 my heart sank. When that day comes, it'll be like the end of my childhood and I'm about to be 43. 😅

I never knew how cool this guy was until now. There were times when people's names would be mentioned and I had absolutely no clue who these people were but wow what a fun ride! And O.J. actually asking him if he thought he did it. That tells you that O.J. cares how he is perceived. He wants to be well thought of. He wants people to feed his ego.

Excellent discussion. Love all of Dan’s advice about interviewing. As a viewer of interviews i get so annoyed at all the preamble and set-up questions. It makes the interview feel so fake. I want to see/hear a conversation that is genuine over a list of scripted Q&As.
Love the drive of EA & CT to always get better, even though you’re already 💯. Time now to watch the full Cowboys game on NFL+ bc the condensed replay cuts out all of Erin’s hits! Thanks to you guys I now have to watch games not just for the teams or players, but also who is calling! Greg I’m looking at you. 😉
