  • In this video, I delve into a world where art and nature intertwine, using acrylic ink on handmade paper and incorporating dried flowers to create distinctive marks and textures. This technique has opened up new avenues of creativity for me, allowing the dried flowers to guide my hand and leave their unique imprint on the paper, creating an abstract piece that tells a story of its own. I then take these pieces a step further by mounting them on wood panels, giving them a polished and enduring presence. If you have any questions about my process, the materials I use, or anything else, I'm more than happy to share insights and answer your queries.

This video is so calming. Will this Acrylic ink fade if hung in the sun?❤

Great question, if sees direct sun every day it can effect it in long term for sure. If you like to keep it colors as bright as new use UV filter spray and don’t hang under direct sun. My couple of small paintings seeing direct sun every day years. Still looks great but I used UV filter spray on them.

Maya, your work is exquisite! Just a question or two: Is all the wet media applied in one session or do you wait for the piece to dry and then go back in? Also, what did you sprinkle onto the piece that left those gorgeous blue marks??

Hi Nancy, Thank you! Yes I applied in one session. And blue marks are total surprise for me. I use small chunk salt in the painting that blue area turned to be small dots because of the salt. But didn't happen other areas I used salt. Just a magic.

Hi, I love this. I am trying it on a canvas. I put white gesso on the canvas and them while it is wet I put the flowers on top. Should I wait till the gesso is dry before putting on the alcohol and acrylic inks?
