- Our reaction to the Semi-Final 2 running order of Eurovision 2024. We discuss producers' decision to open the show with Malta's Sarah Bonnici and to close with The Netherlands' Joost Klein. We discuss who the running order helps and hurts and make some predictions about which countries will overshadow which countries.

To me this semi final is much stronger….really hard to predict who will go through…feeling excited
Then just check the odds and you know. :D Same thing every year. Maximum one ranked top ten that misses.

Actually this semi is tough for me cuz there are at least 6 songs which I would give 7-8 out of 10&no idea how to chose who else I want to qualify. Most of them are nice songs but not convincing enough on their own to say they will qualify. Consequently, all will depend on performance and PR at the end.

Semifinal 2 is by far a stronger one. I struggle to choose only 10 whereas in Semi 1 I can think only of 6 songs I like.

Regarding Estonia, remember Moldova 2022? The one all of us (Wiwibloggs included) slept on? I’ll say it now: trenetelul walked so that the Estonian say-no-to-drugs song could RUN!!
Moldova 2022 was my favourite, lol.
And I don't think it'll be harmed by Netherlands or other dancepop...Trenuletul did fine even with Give that Wolf a Banana so Estonia will be fine in a televote only semi🥳

Czechia's so not my song. I feel like it was put there so that France might be enjoyed more. And YES- these auto qualifiers deserve a chance because it's all about the HYPE. How can you be hyped for somebody if you heard them once several months ago? Plus, it makes it clear who will be voting in which semi-final.
