Finnegan's Garage Ep.50: A Ramp Truck Update, a Hoonigans Callout, Blasphemi Burnout

- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- I'm back with an update on the Roadkill Ramp Truck, the Turbo Boat, the C10, and Blasphemi, my Hemi-powered 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser. The Cummins 12 valve diesel engine swap in the Ramp Truck is nearly complete. The guys from Power Driven Diesel were just in my garage helping me finish up the last few mods to make it run and drive again. We fired the engine, road tested it and did a ridiculous four-wheel burnout that will appear in a new episode of Finnegan's Garage just as soon as its edited and ready.
In the meantime, here's a video about the state of my other projects as well as footage of my friends and I building a new hood scoop for Blasphemi and then running the quickest ever 1/8 pass for this car. There's also footage of Blasphemi on Westech Performance Group's Superflow chassis dyno. If you listen close, the all-important power numbers are in the video.
As for that callout...I found out about it the same way you all did..I saw it on the Hoonigan UA-cam channel, which if you're not already following, is a must-watch deal. These guys are hilarious and genuine gearheads. I've got nothing against Mr. Jon Chase or his fabricator friend, Brad, but that doesn't mean that I'm not going to bust their asses at the dragstrip. That is--whenever Jon's car is running, which I hope is before mine breaks again.

Thanks for watching. As always, all proceeds will go directly toward bad decisions, beer, bacon and speed parts. :)
Thank you mike for being one of the only channels I watch who quiets down the noise of air tools in the edit. I hate having the volume up to hear what's going on then an air tool comes on and it wakes up the neighborhood and people hate me. So thanks.
thank you for watching my channel. i appreciate the support.
This can keeps getting better and better. From a rusted out box to this. It's a work of art. A Badass work of art. By far my favorite car on UA-cam.
Still love the fact you bought a house after just seeing the garage
priorities. i have them. lol
my wife picks houses based on the garage. she knows i need to build stuff or ill implode.
ecogiful Thats a good man!!
Alfonso Alonzo I did the same thing 4,600 sqft and the wanted the walk in closets in the 1,000 sqft master bed room!
That's all that matters!!
Mike, I just heard a radio ad for Roadkill Nights and after this video I am so pumped to go. Awesome updates on everything. I can't wait to see the full video on the ramp truck!
RIP Goldie, great work Finn and Mr Westech. Both of yous rock!
Greetings from Aotearoa New Zealand

Great job Mike! I always love seeing Blasphemi pop up in my news feed. You're gonna wipe the floor with Jon and Brad!
I don’t understand everyone’s expectation that Mike works for free. I can assure none of them would. Thanks for the content Finny!!! Keep it up and finish the C10. I want to see Game Over behind the C10 LAYING FRAME!!!!
You should talk to an engineer about replacing all the studs in your basement/shop with clear-span beams and open the whole place up! Brule is badass! I also am 12V swapping my Chevy Squarebody, they really turn the truck into what they always should have been! Thanks for the video!
I'd love to. haven't found an engineer locally yet.
Finnegan's Garage screw the garden, go full barn, get a lift there!
It isn't really complicated, engineering wise. So the engineering report would not be too expensive. The mechanics of installing new beams is a common remodeling task. Probably use steel I beams so that you can run a trolley/chain fall on them.
Damn! She’s looking even more purty!! Lol, also, finnigan is throwin’ some shade! I love it! I hope to see blasphemi in person someday! Preferably sooner than later!!
LOVE the new scoop on Blasphemi! Great update, Mike, thanks.

I was smiling until I saw the gold acrylic shards at the end. Bright side is the more shit that flies off the bigger gap ur gna pull on the hoonigans if they ever assemble their shit. Keep doing what u do fin!
I've been jonezing for some updates on the ramp truck, Blasphemi, and whatever else. Good to see ya! I swear I could smell smoke from the burnout!
I'm glad to see you are prepared with the jack under the hood for the truck!
Good to see you're well, Mike. Blasphemi is AWESOME! Regards.
It's nice to kick back and watch these videos. Thanks for great videos Finn!

That Cummins motor is so pretty in the bay. Way to go. Thanks for the update on all the cars.
Love the channel Finnegan. Appreciate you keeping a UA-cam presence. That ramp truck is awesome.
Cool seeing Tony and Lucky working in the background. Also cool to finally see Calin, need more of him in front of a camera working with you guys.
I helped remodel Steves house a couple of years ago....he told us numerous hotrod stories...he truly is a super dude
I had to rewatch parts of the video, kept looking in the back ground at all the goodies and awesome stuff in all the locations.
So awesome Robert Duvall is now working on engines
What an awesome video update!! We had success with a catch can with breathers on top with an oil drain back feature.
I did the same thing. catch can fixed the leak. :)
Lucky in the background, gotta love access to a nice garage while on the road
Thank u Finnegan we dont deserve all the good video u send us !!!!!
you're very welcome. thanks for watching.
Man I love you on Roadkill, and I love your turbo her boat. My dad just finished restoring a 73' sidewinder , numbers matching as the same boat from 007 live and let die.
So cool to hear Blasphemi going through it's gears at "full noise"!
Fantastic update! Good to see all the progress
That car gives me tingles in my special places. Nice work.
About time we got a ramp truck update. I knew that scoop was gonna rip apart when I saw it on hoonigan. I hate hoonigan but needed to see update on the blasphemi so I reluctantly clicked on their video
That car just keeps getting better. Ramp truck is primo and the C10 will become legend. Maybe.
Ah, the 12 valve!
The Gasser looks real cool in the Smokey Yunick colors!
Hey Mike, love your work! That 55 is so unique and different and you did a hella job on all that has been done. The Cummins in that truck should outlast the steel it’s connected to.... get that AC and you’re set! Love the updates and please keep them coming.. if you ever passing thru Tuscaloosa Al, I got ya covered on a beer or more... thanks for the videos!
The episode you did on hoonigan was awesome, can't wait for the race, cool video!
Blasphemi is a mona lisa of the car world. She is pure beauty.
I've always wondered why you didn't see if Big Chief would tune Blasphemi. He's supposed to be all of theirs tunner... any way don't matter, Love that damn 55!!! So glad you are doing what you're doing. That's Awesome!!!
I love how you added that bit about those goobers dropping there lsx!
Hey Finn with the acrylic you used for the scoop if your feeling a little fancy grab an oxy, get the flame nice and clean and just kiss the edges of the acrylic with it, it will turn the edges clear and make the corners a little more invisible
I am a simple man, I see "Finnegan's Garage" and I click like
That new scoop is epic. Can't wait for the ramp truck update video!
You rock thanks for the updates glad you are still posting
Love it that you still have the original Jack under the hood

Gotta say, I wasn't on board with the gold scoop the first time you made it, or the gold steering wheel, or the gold roof, but now seeing them all together I am totally into all of the above. Now it needs the gold pipes back. When you build the next scoop, use that exact same shape; it looks absolutely perfect for the car.
definitely doing the gold pipes again.
I loved your video at the hoonigan garage and you have one of my favorite sounding cars on the internet when the warning for loud engine sounds comes up that just tells me to turn up my headphones thanks for the great videos out side of roadkill lookes like I won't be watching any more since the switch to discovery
I wish you the best brother, you were what kept me watching and I just subscribed.
Your car is going to absolutely smash theirs
All time favorite car. I'd kill just to see it in person.
Seeing how wobbly the scoop was when pulling off that protective film, I was seriously wondering how many passes at speed it was going to survive. Apparently not many :) Great video though, can't wait to see the next ones.
Absolutely love you car and can't wait to see more on it
Dude that's so freaking sick I love it!! Good work!

Love the technical advice on this show.
I didn't really like Finnegans vids when he first started this channel. His vids are way better now. SUBSCRIBED.

Damn, blasphemi rips! It gave me goosebumps! Loved seeing you on hoonigan! such a fun collab to see! Also, thanks for putting up GREAT youtube content mike! Cheers from Sweden!
Can't wait for more ramp truck! Who do doesn't know Mike from the the Old Minitruck days. But I honestly never heard of Roadkill until that episode of Ass-monkey garage. So I checked it out on Netflix!! I always watch all the old ones. Thanks for sharing Mike
Great Vid Mike.. Glad you got the Cummins goin in the truck.. and the 55 looks Great.. Can't WAIT to see you with it at Drag Week this year..
Finally someone that doesn't wear gloves all the time. Old school
I have that same filter cutter and love it. One of the best things ive bought!!!
Dream garage/shop lol
Good luck Hoons!
Half way through I was thinking a pressure gauge might be interesting but then I didn't think it would last long enough without the pressure balancing effect of the old windshield inlet design. Too bad for the carnage but the reveal was educational. Waiting for the next round.
Hell yeah man, freaking amazing. I saw all your insta posts and i was waiting on this....amazing. Keep it up!!

I'm thankful that i can still get video's like this from you for free, my 20 month old son has Cystic Fibrosis and i literally can't afford the Motor Trend on demand, thank you Finnegan.
You can watch them free on the motor trend website, just not the most recent. Same as when it was on youtube, if you pay you get them right away, if you dont, you wait a month
Prayers out to your son, and you man. I hope it eases up on you, just keep fightin' with him!
not in 99% of the world.
This was an awesome update I have been following along on instagram as much as possible super excited for all the projects while still keeping up with roadkill it’s awesome! I think it would be cool to see a garage walk through empty “no cars” to actually see how much space you have! For the random Videos that have been at the house either this or roadkill it looks awesome man! Either way keep it up it makes me even more excited for when I get out of the military and pull my 71 mustang out to get it back up and running!
Keep em coming Mike! Cars looking beautiful dude

Best sounding car I have ever heard/ best looking car I have ever seen.
Finally a great Finnegans Garage video! I might even go and do some work on my own car tomorrow
Leofred Do it!
I like that the liciense plate says : OMG HEMI 😂
Dude.. That number is absolutely wild. The hoonigan guys are awesome but I don't think they realize how bad you want to win outside the roadkill show lol. I would love a ride in that car
Nosnorb Repooc John Chase left Irwindale with his engine guy discussing how much they need to change their plans. They still plan on running an LS so without going way over streetable I dont see it getting by Finn.
I can't wait to see you and john race; It would be amazing if you guys did it at roadkill nights even so its less than three weeks away. SHAKE AND BAKE!
MIKE FINNEGAN THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND
Austin Hildebrand
Sounds like a new shirt!!!😎
Wow you got a Eaton compressor with the Silent Air System that is a great compressor !!
You should make an acrylic scoop where you heat-bend the top edges too, that way you only have seams at the rear corners, plus it probably looks dope :)
Ugh I wish I had the tools and knowledge to do what you do and build what you build. Love the vids
Damn shes come along way well done man keep on keeping on 😎

Yes!!! We need more off the C10!!!
So awesome.
Would love to see an incar camera view like two lane blacktop. You know in slo mo with the scoop shaking and a film dissolve.
Alls i can say is watch out chase 😂 All the best from Tom, Widnes England
cant wait for the ramp truck reveal or the chase race keep up the awesome content finnegan
Hah, that registering a milk crate with wheels comments sounds like it was from experience!
Fin, Blasphemi is awesome. I like Chase and Brad, but I do not dig the LS. It seemes like that is all anyone does anymore. Also, I don't know why everyone bitches about MTOD and the 5 bucks they charge. I have had a subscription since MTOD came online, and have never had much trouble out of it. I'm happy to support you guys, and the content that is provided is well worth eating a sandwich one day for lunch and not a burger from a restaurant. Keep on keepin on!
People bitch because,it does not work in most of the world.
The PolyGraph Room at 4:33 had me super curious as whats in it. Ah! the suspense
Thank god!!!! Ramp truck update was my fix for crappy Monday.

Nice work Finn love that 55
New scoop is nice. Great episode.
Awesome! Thanks for the update Mike!🤘🏼👍🏼
The scoop looks sick!!!! Love this car!! OH, well..... I the scoop looked sick... :P
I love John Chase and think he's a talented artist, but you're gonna crush him!
You don't need a hood scoop...Let the filter eat. That's the reason it's there now. You can buy a water repellent cover for the element.
P.S: Steve Brule the OG.
Great content, I only wish someday I could have a shop like that and pass it on to my son keep the vids coming Finn.
I really like the look of the scoop
The new scoop you can make out of 1/4 inch lexan and mold it over a form for better look / strength. It needs to be stout because the oscillation of the intake flexing in and out will mess with air flow as you are changing intake volume.
damn, that blasphemi hood scoop combined with the stance went from hiding a scooter to hiding a yaris and a boeing.
Nice work, Mike!
