I just got my zoia about a week ago and have been watching lots of videos on what people have made and I gotta say, the patches you have showcased here are by far some of the most impressive. Thanks for sharing!
Andrew Milam Thank you! There’s a zoia users community on Facebook where people share projects and patches. I’ve found lots of inspiration from there too. :)
I've been looking at the Zoia since it was first announced as a possibility for my board. I really liked this demo, mostly because your patches sound a lot like I would probably do on my own! Great job, and thank you again for a great demo.
Came here to get some inspiration on new things to do with Zoia - turns out I already got about half of these from Patch storage! Thanks a lot for sharing, they're great fun to play with :)
Cool!! Does it come with the Lego board? Looks modern and retro at the same time! I'd love to have one but sure can't afford it. ..of course, great playing still. 😊🎸👌🏽
Ms. Barbiealmalbis, could you possibly explain the design of your Lego stand (The Lego "Set" needed for parts, the Construction, materials/modification to avoid sliding on a desk surface)? There's stands available on Etsy that are extremely overpriced considering the materials used, and I would like to build something similar to yours.
Hi there, the screen is really quite small, and the text about the same size as in a smart phone. I think you’d be able to do it with someone helping to look at the screen when you’re programming. But after the patch is done you can definitely use the LEDs to control parameters. Color coding different types of modules for patches helps too.
That depends no how you wanna use it. If you're going mono, you can use it on two places in your pedalboard (i.e. beginning and end). The dual ins and outs are fully independent so you can use the zoia as two mono pedals. :)
Haven’t heard of issues with LED’s going out. A more common issue is the original keypad wearing out, though Empress has replaced those with a more robust keypad in the newer units. Mine’s been working very well with no issues. Hope that helps.
@@barbiealmalbis Thanks a lot for answering! I found the button "heads" but I can't seem to find the actual switch (the device). Does anyone have a link to something like what @barbiealmalbis is using (Eg the actual switch device)? Is it this one? www.loop-master.com/mini-tempo-pedal-decals-p-51.html I think I found an equivalent (without open/close selector) where I live here: pt.banggood.com/MOSKY-TAP-SWITCH-Mini-Guitar-Pedal-Tap-Tempo-Switch-Effects-Pedal-Full-Metal-Shell-p-1382381.html?cur_warehouse=CN
Doodloo yeah those are good. it’s actually quite simple to make. It’s just one switch inside that’s either “normally closed,” or “normally open” depending on what your pedal needs. The Zoia works with either, since you can change the polarity setting on the Zoia.
Awesome thank you! I don't have a Zoia, but hearing what you have done with it makes me consider it in time... Also awesome playing. Where can I find some of your albums?
I love you already. Haven't heard the sounds as I write this, but you're demoing a Zoia on a stand made of Lego, so you must be great! :)
...and the patch building was great too, not just the lego building!
Haha! 😁
Octave Reverse was absolutely beautiful! Definitely checking out your patches. Great stuff!
Yes. I agree. Your patches are the best I’ve seen so far !
Wow, amazing patches! They really showcase what a powerful tool the Zoia is 🤯

@@barbiealmalbis thanks for the tip!
Helpful review for guitar and bass. Many other are only with synths. Extra. Bonus points for the Lego effect stand. Love it.
Thank you!
One of the most musical application of the Zoia I've seen by far. Awesome vid Barbie!🤘
Thank you!
I love these patches! Thanks for sharing. And the Lego stand is genius!
Thank you!
Phrase recorder and Oct reverse are two of my favourite patches! Thanks!
Thank you! Glad you like them!

Love it. As well as the lego "pedal board". 🤘😎

I get my Zoia tommorow....I am excited to see what I can do with this thing. Thanks for sharing your video :)
nice work. great explanations, patch design and playing,
Sobrang solid po clean tone nyo. Naglalaway po ako :(
Genius level pedalboard! Thanks for the demo. I'm looking at buying this pedal but a little scared of its complexity as well.
Great stuff! :D Just ordered one, cant wait to play some happy guitar glitches :D
Thank you! Great demo!
Love it po,the moment na hawak niyo po yung guitar i just love it💯😍
Impressive!! Thanks for this miss Barbie! 🙂
The pedal sounds and looks good too

Love this pedal and the video!
Nice demo. You really had me on U2.
Barbie Almalbis. 😍
Nice machine, I would love to hear a slicer effect on that unit.
This makes me want one
some very cool patches you got going there
Ganda grabe, Solid!! ❤
👏 AMAZING.
Very nice!
Great video!
Brilliant
awesome 👌🎶💕
Amazing content! ❤
Do you use an external pedal? Thanks!😊😊
Thank you! I usually use a dmc micro with it, though it’s a great standalone pedal too. I’ve done a couple of gigs with just a zoia. :)
Idol tlga ❤️
cool cool cool cooool!
It looks like you know the pedal fairly well. Are you going to do any tutorials on this? Have you thought about sharing your patches?
Thanks! Will be sharing these on Patch Storage soon.
Just uploaded them. patchstorage.com/author/bh/
@@barbiealmalbis Good Job!! Thanks :)

Just eargasms..
Excellent tone from that guitar...! Any idea what pickups are in it..? Are they noiseless...? Thx...
Thank you! They’re the stock pickups, not noiseless. It’s a Suhr Classic T. :)

Hello, Ate Barbs! Where did you buy your unit? I’m currently looking for one available here in the Philippines.
I just got it from their website. :) I think it’s just empresseffects.com
Nice video. What make is the tap tempo pedal?
Nice video! I am visualy impared. I can see the LEDs but not the screen. Do you think I could program it.

Hey, where would this fit into my effects chain? Probably closest to the guitar maybe? So i can mount it and control it manually (on the fly) etc?

Where did you get the footswitch with the red cover?
That’s a loop-master tap switch with a bearfoot button on top. :)
@@barbiealmalbis so awesome I think I’m gonna get this for myself
I read reviews that LED’s going out/breaking. Anybody out here experienced this with their Zoia?
Haven’t heard of issues with LED’s going out. A more common issue is the original keypad wearing out, though Empress has replaced those with a more robust keypad in the newer units. Mine’s been working very well with no issues. Hope that helps.
Amazing performance just "demoing" the patches... I'm wondering, where can I get my hands on that big red push button?
Thank you! You can get them from barefoot buttons, and the tap switch is by loop-master.

Keep up the good work, I find both your music and exploration with the device really cool.
How much does it cost? Its pretty cool..
I have been looking for so long for a device to recreate a Boss PS3 mode 7 sound. Are these available to download?
Marco Gallerin yes, they’re on patch storage. This is called BBD PS3.
Awesome thank you! I don't have a Zoia, but hearing what you have done with it makes me consider it in time... Also awesome playing. Where can I find some of your albums?

how much do these things costs?
If a woman comes and tells me, look, these are my presets.. and then explains how she did, and she plays.. I dont know, I would marry definitely.
