Welp, there goes my Mole. I was pretty sure for most of my binge-watching that Simone was the Mole and the only other person I strongly suspected of being the Mole was Stine who, of course, was eliminated in the episode prior to this one. The editors played me good!
All logic and reason seems to point to Ruben as the Mole now, given how everyone else is suspecting him and his uselessness at challenges compared to Jan and Olcay... but I just can't shake off the feeling that the editors are making his status as the obvious Mole suspect TOO obvious to be true. In S12 and S16, all the contestants had figured out who the Mole was by the final 5, but you could tell that the editing tried to hide or downplay this for as long as possible (which was in itself a telltale sign that they WERE the Mole). Here, the editing didn't even try to hide that Simone, Jan, and Olcay were all on Ruben and there's *always* one person in the finale who looks like an obvious Mole but turns out to be innocent...
...Or maybe I'm overthinking all this and Ruben really is the Mole? A large part of me is still screaming, "It makes NO sense for anyone but Ruben to be the Mole at this stage! Olcay and Jan didn't act like Moles at all during the car-aoke challenge!" But another part of me is thinking, "But I've always thought Ruben was a 'decoy' Mole who looks like he's sabotaging left and right but really just sucks at challenges like S17's runner-up. And I *did* suspect Olcay for a bit earlier on, and Jan constantly taking the lead at challenges could be the perfect cover for a Mole..." I feel like Vizzini trying to decide which goblet has the poisoned wine; I'm hoping the next episode makes things clearer for me!

I definetly think he’s the mole, and how great he played it if he is!
Julian Smit Him jumping in the water, distracting both Simone and Olcay from getting their "tubes", and switching his own colours around so he got -100 when it could have been +1000. So damn clever.

I have said it since episode 2, Olcay has always been my only main suspect and I am completely convinced that she is the Mole. If she is, she is one of the best moles ever, because she has sabotaged religiously, losing money from the pot again and again, and yet has almost completely avoided suspicion. I think that Jan has reached the finale while being completely wrong about the Mole, and will lose in a landslide to Ruben. Ruben, to me, has played the game that I would expect of a fan giving it his all. He has done his part to look suspicious on purpose while not actually losing much money for the pot (not ziplining as a clear example, why would the Mole stand out like that and not actually succeed in keeping money out of the pot?). He knows everyone suspects him and is playing straight into that, especially when confronted. He also got lucky that his timing of wanting to be treasurer looks incredibly suspicious. But he didn’t actually do much to sabotage with that, and remember that it was Olcay that allowed him to take that heat by breaking the tie to give him the role. Olcay has lost money for the pot at least once in every episode, and has not only the players deceived, but it seems most viewers as well. Unless, of course, I’m the one deceived. Can’t wait to find out!

Can I just say, “Oh my god?!” I was 100% sure it had to be Simone. I’m at a loss at who the Mole is now. Ruben is what my mind says, but I still have doubts on Jan and Olcay. Now that I think about it, Jan has earned money while at the same time always prevented the maximum from being earned. What an incredible season, 2 super mole-ish candidates got me good!

In the boat, Jan goes 'Orange blue orange blue', then switches them around 'blue orange England Italy'. He changed them around so he could grab the wrong ones.

Okay, I was sad to see Simone go, but she was one of my main suspects. At this point, it's going to be a bit dull if Ruben is the mole because everyone's so set on him. The editing seems to really be focusing on the fact that everyone thinks it's Ruben, which makes me think it's not him. I actually would have loved to see him go this episode just to see the shocked looks on everyone's faces.
My main suspect now that Simone is gone is Olcay. She's definitely moled quite a bit along the way, but the contestants seem to excuse her since she's so fanatic at certain challenges. She's gotten this far even though she admits to not writing down anything, so I'm not sure if that's a clue or not.
It was interesting to me that Ruben was confused after the execution. Usually moles pick one person who's the most on to them and say they are targeting that person. I'm not sure if the real mole would be saying in a confessional that they are confused this late in the game. If Ruben actually was a player, maybe he actually had his vote split.
My prediction is that Olcay is the mole and Ruben wins. Or maybe Ruben is just actually the mole and it's been obvious to a lot of the players that it's him.
Nate Bloemke my prediction is Ruben wins because Jan is the mole and Olcay is suspecting Ruben and is wrong whilst Ruben is suspecting Jan who is (at least to me) the mole

Everyone seems to be going for Ruben but I still think there’s a chance that it’s not him. Olcay has been a prime suspect for me. Jan has been great at challenges but maybe it’s the prefect disguise for a mole!

i dont really trust the editing bc they made us fall for stine-tunnelvision and now it really seems theyre pushing it on ruben. i mean he could be since everyone seems to be on him but idk im not convinced. last season too no one suspcted the mole until the last episode so...
i think itd be fun to finally have a fanatic mole, and my prime suspect now is olcay tbh, cause ive noticed shes a really good actress. if its jan ill eat my fucking shoe bc 1. i want him to win 2. ive never ever suspected him and i refuse to, he seems too genuine to me

...So I figured that either Ruben or Simone would be gone, just because of the editing. If Ruben's the Mole then his shock at Loos' going home was incredibly well-played. But everyone's obviously convinced it's him (or someone is faking it). Jan was a very early suspect of mine who I kinda forgot about because he seemed "fanatical", but he's taken charge so much now, he'd fit. And Olcay... could she really not have distracted Ruben from finding the money in the very first challenge?
Jan, Olcay and Ruben have all been my "prime suspect" at some point. Stine and Simone I've reluctantly suspected, but I've never been convinced of anybody. Would you choose Stine as the Mole? And if it was Simone, what the heck happened in that car assignment when she got eliminated first out of everybody when as Mole it'd be entirely to her advantage to stay in until the end? That never made sense to me. (Olcay had the E1000 and failed... just like she had the E750 with Bela in the car Pacman challenge and failed. Jan let the "doubler" get to the finish line, albeit with some serious car troubles, but that might've been due to Stine.)
Ruben failed on the high wire but he found E2000 early on. Moles almost always seem to win money early on to take suspicion off themselves... and everyone thinks it's him. He was in a position of power with the pot-swap, but then didn't seem to do much to actually use that position to sabotage. Hmmmm.
Olcay... if she's the Mole, how did everyone else even reach the finale? They all seem convinced she's innocent. She let Ruben find the E2000 in the first episode. But she's had some huge "red-flag" moments that have convinced me it's her for a while.
And then there's Jan. If I were going on process of elimination, then just based on that early win I'd say it was him. He's certainly taken charge a lot. He helped bring the "doubler" home, but was that really him, or was it Stine?
Man, I have no idea. I think I HAVE to say it's Ruben, just because of the high wire thing and because everyone else obviously thinks it's him. But I really WANT to say it's Olcay, because she's lost so much money. And Jan would be an awesome surprise Mole who's the only one left who wasn't involved in the one early win that they had.
Y'know what... I'm tempted to say, screw it, Ruben genuinely thought it it was Loos, so it's not him. Our "Fun Mole" is Olcay. But it absolutely could be Jan. But as of now I think my official guess is that everyone has been wrong all along, except Jan who suspected her early (which is probably why he's gotten so far). Olcay is de Mol. I've been wanting to say that for weeks but it seemed like it had to be Ruben or Simone just because they were the "main suspects" in the group. I'm going with my instincts and my logic. It's Olcay.
And immediately I'm wishing I'd plumped for Jan instead. Screw it, it's still Olcay! :D
It’s Jan !!! It has to be! How he jumped out of the raft screamed MOL all over for me. Because of that he got money out of the pot and they were forced to skip others because of getting Jan in

Olcay has been my main suspect for most of the series, but I'm really starting to wonder about Ruben now. He's been acting really shady for the last few episodes. Olcay is still my no 1 suspect but I wouldn't be surprised if Ruben turned out to be the mole. Whatever happens, I hope Jan wins!

Simone was my mole since episode 1. I was so sure untill this episode en now I have no clue who the mole is.
By me was it Stine. Then was Stine out en then was Simone my mol. Now is Simone out :joy:

My main suspect as of now is...Go down to see who it is and my arguments.
Jan Versteegh is my main suspect. Here's why I mainly suspect him:
1. In the train task, 2 red packages weren't delivered correctly, while 2 colored boxes weren't in the right carriage. The only way to hide it as much as possible is by creating a messy pile of boxes, which is exactly what Jan did.
2. In the first episode, while talking with Ruben and Olcay, he specifically asked where *in Kiev* they were, even though they already said the name of the cafe they were in, at a time when nobody even considered the possibility of the 5 groups being in entirely different countries, mainly due to none of the past WIDM seasons having done such a thing before.
3. In past group photos at the end of each episode's intro, Simone stood on the spot where an eliminated candidate was standing. However, in episode 8, Jan is standing on that spot. Seems like a clever little *switcheroo* (The 2nd episode's title, Wisseltruc, roughly translates to that).

I feel like it would have been easier to do the Caraoke thing with the person "next" to you because they are closer together and they all had at least one sidewindow that didnt get any water on it, so they could have used that too. Maybe that was Jan's way to make it more difficult for everyone?

Wow okay Im awful at this game haha. The hint of Simone taking the place of the executed person in the group photos was too good I thought for sure it was her (on top of other things) haha. So they are really editing Rueben to be the mole now eh with revealing everyone's test answers. And seems like everyone has been on him for a while now. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out next week.
Also more love for Jan's socks.
With the whole group photo thing, you might be on to something, actually. The title of the 2nd episode was Wisseltruc (Closest English translation I can think of is Switcheroo)
Keeping that in mind, where you would expect Simone to stand in the group photo of episode 8 is where Jan is standing. What do you think of that?

Sooo my mole went home in this episode, wow, what a fantastic season! I was in the tunnel so hard that I lost all my points on the app lol. Anyways since Simone is home I now think that Olcay is the mole. I've never really suspected her before but I will say that she's the mole for now.
- Jan is not the mole because on episode 1 Art didn't say "except for the mole, who never goes home" meaning that the mole didn't do the test on episode 1.
- Ruben is not the mole because he doesn't look like someone who likes doing "risky things" (like on that zip line challenge, except if he's really good at faking his fear). Being the mole in general is already quite risky, also remember that the mole had to walk through the park on the challenge before the zip line challenge and that definitely is a very risky thing to do.
Also, in the "next week" preview why isn't there Art saying "who is the mole" like in previous seasons?

Ruben has become quite an obvious mole, but I'm all ready for a big twist which sees Olcay being the true mole!
He's either an obvious mole or a really terrible task player. On the other hand, so was my mole last year and he turned out being only the runner up, so you can never know.
I hope Olcay wins.

Every inch of my body is telling me that Ruben is NOT the mole but every-single-body is voting for him. It would be very very weird if 3 candidates are completely wrong (but it has happened, right?)
I was a bit resignated that SImone was the mole but well... as a news anchor she didn't have the deceiving personality for a mole.
For now on, i guess i have to think it's ruben??

Ruben was the mole. But then he'd be too obvious. And notice how the show didn't reveal his suspicion, and it's making it look like he is. It's possible that everyone was wrong about Ruben, but one of them had fewer wrong answers and made it to the final. If this were the case, the real mole would be laughing right now.
If Ruben isn't the mole, it's Olcay, because she claimed she put it all on Ruben in an earlier episode when everyone was still spreading. If she weren't the mole, that would've caused her to lose. I think she could be pulling a fast one on Jan.

Jan has been my mole from the very beginning but now I'm a bit confused. It could be Ruben or Olcay as well. But right now, I'm sticking with Jan. The editors are showing us Olcay's and Ruben's blunders. Jan's - not so much, so meaning his errors are being kept for the reveal. But I can be wrong, we'll see...
