Tutorial: Blocking Out Katz

- I'm adding armature of the art piece of MeatCanyon's character Katz. I'm using water based WED clay from Laguna, it's about $25 for a 50lb box.
To block out this head I used almost 3 boxes.
Tools listed at the end of the video.
This is the first stage to starting any sculpture, getting clay onto the armature!
Why does him smacking the clay sound so satisfying?

You’re AMAZING at making cartoon characters realistic. Your ability to make them look realistic, while still staying true to the original cartoon material is almost mythical. Keep up the great work!
The parts where he’s just slapping the clay had me both laughing and wanting more
The sped up voice got real confusing and jarring, real fast. But the slaps, oh, *chefs kiss*
Just need to set the speed at .5 to understand him.

You made a mans day hearing you rapidly slap that clay just....i couldnt stop laughing XD it sounded like bare feet rapidly running across a laminate floor XD
I love how, the closer they got to finishing up the face, the more it looked like the clay became sentient and was like "WHY GOD WHY DID YOU TURN ME INTO THIS? THAT THING? REALLY? YOU ARE MOLDING ME INTO THAT? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN?"
Katz is just there sitting in the background like: why. Just why is a better version of me being made… why…
Or he’s like: yes make more of me and soon we will have world domination!!!
Would it be possible to get versions of your videos without the building/sculpting segments being sped up? I'd love to hear all you have to say while sculpting
Unfortunately the un sped up versions are just way too long to upload, if I was to post all the footage at a normal speed it would be month and months of just sculpting. So these will jump steps and I'll explain as I go along of what I did. This guy was a 4 to 5 month sculpt process and I'm just now working on the body.

I wish these videos weren't sped up. Its hard to fully understand what he's doing and why.
I'm not doing anything fancy, just shaping the clay. If I didn't have it sped up at all it would be 3 months solid of footage! The sculpting process takes me at least 4 to 5 months for a piece like this.
