I just received mine from Amazon yesterday (4/19/2022). It's pretty good actually, although I don't like the guards. I think you can do much more without the guards, such as side and top grinding. You can also work on bigger items without the guards; of course, there is a safety issue.
I've had too many scares to take mine off again too many close calls ( lost a wheel shaft wore out) not to mention I don't want a thousand dollar fine from OSHA lol
Good review! Do you know if this is the 2016 or 2021 model. There are two listed on Amazon. It shows the 2016 as weighing 4 lbs and the 2021 as 16 lbs which must be a typo or something.
I’m debating ordering one today, I got the stand/pedestal and i like it. Any update? For the price is it still worth it or would you have spent a few extra bucks and gotten a different brand? I’ll only be using it in a “d.i.y/home hobby type of way, nothing commercial. Tia!
Needed a grinder for a few truck things, this ones very affordable and good reviews. I'll be getting it, thanks for video. Now if I was doing something serious probably invest in a big unit cause I like quality, nice grinder though.
Just got one. Vibrates but that's due to the cheap stones. Just be aware that an uncovered wire wheel is going to fling carp all over the place. Also, when using the wire wheel, use a face shield. Pulling wires out of your face is no fun.
Further update. Mine has continued to have issues to the point that I have given up. I love making stuff work but this pos just keeps surprising me with new issues. So I'm done. I will put it together and use it as a freehand beater. I would actually be better just throwing it in the trash. Will go out and buy a grinder that I may have half a chance to fix.
@@6atlantis well, that part is my fault. I'm retired and as such I have a small shop. I fix things and I have a lathe and mill. So me being me I took my time. Always other things needing to be done. So with those delays and much tearing into it to "fix" it I basically made it not returnable. Grinders always need tuning. So I basically had nomthought that the end of the shaft was angled a bit off. Thus my complaints. Anyway, I finally got it usable but still it's not as it should be. And the rests are a complete joke, unusable basically. So I will have to make better ones when I have time. I bought it basically to sharpen hhs bits for the lathe. I have an 8 in craftsman variable speed grinder that will take care of everything else. It never needed any work out of the box long ago. So that's the short story if why I didn't return it. My own arrogance I guess.

Thank you. You know I’m
Not positive but I’d say it’s closer to 15lbs.
Quick question please: do you recommend it for kitchen knifes or no pls? Thank you.
To permanently attach to work bench there's 2 hole on each side what size bolts do you recommend tu
3/8” would be plenty enough
