On guns where the barrel is fixed and held in place by the takedown lever, moving the barrel usually helps because that's what is being locked in place.
Ive been carrying a loaded firearm across obstacles and streams when I hog hunt. For around 20 years I didnt know I wasn't supposed to. Thanks for the safety tip from Walther. I almost died.
I own one, when the takedown lever doesn’t want to go back up push on the tip of the barrel itself while the slide is locked back. The barrel isn’t all the way back.
A few decades ago, as a kid, I saw a rancher from our "Neighborhood" drop full grown, buck Mule Deer 🦌 literally "in their tracks", with one head shot from the .22 Magnum. So, depending on bullet placement, this round can be very deadly. Grand Dad dropped coyotes, at short range with this cartridge, for many years. So, be careful! It can be just as deadly as a .44 Magnum. "In the right hands"!
Thank you again for sharing your detailed review. We just ordered one today. We found this video of yours as vi was search for review's on this particular pistol. Have a great evening 🙏
Absolutely understandable. You're honesty is commendable. There's not many firearms UA-cam channels that are as professional as yours. As an ammutre firearms collector we appreciate your knowledge and reviews. In closing we both want too thank you for your military service. Have a great evening 🙏
Picked up the WMP a month ago, love it! Mounted a HOLOSUN HE507C-GR X2 Green 2 MOA and been tac driving! I believe an application for this would be for police, reason being the police are great people, but when they engage, they just empty their mags! Which intern sends rounds all over the place which can cause a lot of damage to innocent civilians. Police need more training on acquiring targets only when total safe!
You still have the Walther Creed? Pretty sure they just took the PPX/Creed and made it work for .22 WMR. Creed was first pistol I ever bought for $250. For that price, it is an excellent pistol.
I like the idea of the WMP. And I loves me sum Walther! But for the price of the ammunition. There are better options, IMO. Rimfire ammo isn't reliable enough for me, at this point in time. That's just me tho...thanks for the share!!
Heard this is actually made by umarex with walther branding, not a real walther, umarex owns walther but who cares, doesn’t matter, it’s a umarex ! Junk in my book!

There are now at least three full size 22WMR auto loaders . Now someone needs to make a truly compact or even a subcompact WMR auto loader .
Interested to see how close that 5 inch barrel gets to the 1875 FPS rifle-length speed.
Yeah, I think 22WMR is more dependent upon barrel length than 22LR for building velocity. I suspect the spinner will giggle at it.
The design of the WMP reminds me, a lot, of the Walther Creed.... aside from the quad mag release, of course.
The slide release might need a magazine inserted [and ammo?] in the magazine to release.
yes

Thank you, that's the same advice Walther gave me after I filmed this. It works!
I repacked to slide all the way back and tack down lever works like a champ now.
Are you fat-shaming those WMP Magazines? Their just big-boned. (poly-covered metal) THICC
*will not blow off a table like other rimfire mags
love it , gotta get up town and hold one !! .. I am a 22 collector
Slide release is very hard until broken in. Also very ammo specific. Great video. Gave me a little chuckle lol
Thanking of buying one ! Thanks

They do have some snap to them. I was surprised the first time shooting it.

You and Teya have a great evening. You should have a firearms store. You're a good salesman 😊
@lizzapaolia959 I don't like selling things or trying to get someone to buy something. In reviews the product speaks for itself.

@lizzapaolia959 thank you. Have you signed up at GBGUNSDEPOT.COM yet?
It keeps saying error after we've attempted signing up. Idk why.
I've owned the Kel-Tec PMR even though it has double the capacity I prefer the Walther in my opinion is a much better pistol

The walther WIMP!
😂😂😂
Thanks for the video
The WMP is made by Umarex the biggest airgun manufacturer in Germany and they own Walther arms .
Their BB and pellet guns are ok, but their try at making real guns , not so much. The P22 I had was a jam-o-matic POS.
This gun is one of the funnest guns I have ever shot no problems after 500 rounds a great gun
It is a lot of fun
I'm waiting for your shooting impression and gun's jams 😁
.22 mag is an interesting round but in a pistol ?! ... I doubt it , even if it's a Walther .

@@GBGuns interesting , but I can't find any "pinned comment" 😶

I have had one for several months and I can't remember ever having an issue except when shooting really light bullets. It loves the 40 and 50gr loads
@@GBGuns I did read it 👍
Good, Thx
Had the same problem with mine.I had the same problem with mine. It finally locked in place and I have no clue of what I did to make it lock in place.
its super tight right away… they made the re-assemble of this one weird everything has to be just so
Anyone know what fobus holster will fit this? Thinking one of the other walther sizes might work.
P99 maybe?
I have the same problem. I just keep trying until it goes together. Frustrating.
Blow back or locked breech?
i`m just here window shopping- no guns allowed in occupied germany.
That comment sounds a bit Reichsburger
@@GBGuns call me a sovcit lmao.
Sounds like some things never change. 🤔

Ergonomics were not taken into consideration
How so? It's practically a PPQ frame

looks like another Umarex low quality .22. Gritty moving slide, clunky slide release , Reminds me of the toy P22 CA I own.
22 mag is typically rated with an 18" barre, out of a pistol the muzzle velocity will be significantly lower as well as the energy!
