a little fun fact about me is that im actually hard of hearing in one ear, so for me, cathy's side is much quieter, which is... oddly fitting! also adding on, during the "delete" part, due to the fact that theres already some panning in the original, cathy's side gets quieter and quieter with each successive "delete," to the point where she's basically silent by the last one... ow

I really want to tell you play limbus company, but this is canto 6, which is about 200 hours into the game, judging from my hours total. Though I do occasionally leave the game open so take it with a grain of salt. Basically they’re both afraid of showing their emotions, so they go in circles until they both decide they aren’t good enough for the other and attempt to remove themselves from the other without ever actually asking if that was what they wanted. You can probably tell from the other comments that there’s a whole lot more to it, but that’s the spoiler-free version.
Spoiler... . . . . . . It's based on Wuthering Height, but there is a Heathcliff who want to obliterate all Heathcliff in every world for Catherine's happiness and a Catherine that do the same for Heathcliff. This song is the boss theme when you fight both of them.
