nice table and video, but I kept thinking "what a biased scenario for the attackers"! Good game
I gotta say, this video is as slick as whale shit, man! Production has come along way since the days of thrash metal intros and "der Hammer" beating up on Andre's guys. lol I appreciate the effort you're putting into the introduction of the armies and effects. Very cool. That last German sniper team shot was classic. Looking forward to the CoC version.
Another really enjoyable BA game. Great looking board, smart miniatures and well shot video. I agree that the US probably needed a couple of 100 more points. Go Green Devils!! Looking forward to the CoC return match. Keep up the great content. We appreciate it out here in UA-cam land.

Nice battel report, good looking table and mini's. Mistakes were made but when you play multiple games systems things tend to get jumbled up in the old noggin. Makes me want to hurry up and finish my Italian Paratroopers so I can get some games in.

A couple of things for next game.
Was the flamethrower withing 3" because you had a pin and i think just inside of 6" and moved. That means -1 for move, -1 for long range -1 for pin. and then +1 for super short range. Not sure why there is a rule that you can have super short range and longe range at the same time.
Another thing. You can't advance into buildings, you need to run into them (and only ground floor)
Short range is 6”, and since a flamers range is o it 6” they are always in close range. But he did more and had a pin. So it was 4 to hit.
Very good game. Terrain and figures excellent. Minor rule infringements, but didn't detract from the game. Andrei gets MVP for not being cheesy.

Excellent battle report, the game looked a lot of fun and set up looked very nice, I had to laugh when the machine gun noise kicked in for the first time, I was painting at the same time and I thought what the is that 😂

The Stug looks like it is within PB range of the US squad and HQ when it entered and fired. Thus, only 4's needed to hit. 43:14. I know, it is tough to remember all that in the heat of battle.

Super game as usual. Turned out not to matter but when Travis assaulted Andre's MG team it was on the second floor. Might be a house rule but you can only attack units on the ground floor in that kind of situation.
It was an on the fly house rule. There was no one on the bottom floor and we had enough move to get to the top floor. Just did it for speed of the game.

Would be interesting to see the US outcome with better early rolling, lack of six affected early was an issue
During most turns the Sherman tank could have easily destroyed the mmg on the second story house by just firing HE round at the building! It only needed a 3+ since cover is not taken into consideration when firing at buildings! Just a suggestion.

At 28:42 when the Sherman fired fired at the German Paras. and they went down that put them down for the turn and off ambush and the Engineers were free to move and fire. I think.
True but he put other things on ambush soon after. The MG42 in the building and the grenadiers squad
Superb looking board and gameplay
A building can only be entered with a Run order. Thus, the US infantry could not have fired after entering the building, after it dismounted from the truck, unless you play with modified rules.
As always, great terrain and buildings, nicely done miniatures and vehicles and a lot of fun to watch. :) You guys rule!

Talk about your nail biters. Are we looking at a follow up attack with a reinforced German position? Always good to see games in the Med, too.
Wonderful game gentlemen! One thing, for the Sherman, if you would have assaulted the fallschirmjägers you could have forced them out of cover and with two supporting units you might have killed them off a few turns earlier. Also, if I remember correctly, if they fail their moral check for tank assault they are destroyed.

Why does Sherman mmg roll 6 dice insted of 5. 6 dice are for germans mmg isn't it. PS. good job on terrains and models, it's pleasure to watch.

The rules don't allow a Run into a building's and its second floor in one turn. Thus, the US squad could not have assaulted the MG on the turn it entered the building 58:55.
My bad...actually only 3's.

Attacking a dug in enemy, you need at least 1.5 the points to even think about making an attack.
Well the scenario said use equal points which is crazy. We added a few extra points to the attackers.
I’ve noticed BA and FOW do that, equal points for a game like this.
@@WARdROBEPlaysWWII especially in a game where you have to wipe the enemy complexly out. Which is pretty much impossible with equal size forces.

Where do you source the caps/bases for your officers and NCOs?
Also thinking the going down while being dug-in is a bit much, but if them's the rules I can't argue with that (I'm a new player).
They were from a Conan Kickstarter a while back. Found them on eBay.

They are from the Warlord games Ranger box. It comes with a lot of extra bits to make engineers.

Hey guys! Love your battle reports, I've recently got into Bolt Action (just finished British Airborne army). I'm yet to get the books, so can you tell me what the point of the "armies of -" books are? My understanding is you only need the rule book?
The books give toy theaters selectors for specific battles as well as many more choices than are in the rule book lists.

Hey guys sorry for a stupid question. I am getting back into gaming and am painting up my first 28mm miniatures and was wondering about base sizes. Is there a standard size? These bases look to be about an inch wide? My first squad of Blitzkrieg Germans bases look a little too small, I think they are by artizan. A few fall over too easy so I was thinking on mounting them on something a little wider. Once I get a standard size done the plan is to print off some of those command rings, they look pretty cool. Love the vids.
Our minis are on 25mm bases. 20mm can be too small for some 28mm sculpts

Why cvan.'t you play a modern war game? All of these game are the same and I get a little tired of WWII. WWII is long gone! We are in the age of MODERN weapons. The rules are obsolete and so are the games. You might as well be colorful Napoleonic.
We do play modern games. One called Spectre Operations and one called Asymmetric Warfare. We also play fantasy games.
Badly designed scenario and rules that turn the game into a die rolling exercise. You might as well be playing Flames of War.
I agree with the scenario not being the fairest but I think BA's rules are really good, I think It was just the scenario and setup
All Bolt Action games turn out that way.
@@tabletopcp I disagree, I know you guys dont really like bolt action, but I think the rules are really solid, It really comes down to tactics and pin managment, the scenario in itself wasnt particuarly fair.
Great game. I'm not sure you can charge into a building and assault an enemy on the second floor. I think you have to deploy the unit on the bottom floor and charge up next turn. Also, for the MG42 in the window and the light howitzer, were you guys accounting for the team rule? Since there was only a single man left in those units they would have had a -1 to hit.
Your battle reports are looking really good. Love the deployment graphics, explosions and sound effects.
