Absolutely. You can really see the work put into the vid and it pays off; defo main channel content here. Also with the after the fact story telling addition it makes what could be 'a too long to watch' vod into something very entertaining to watch on its own in a more accessable manner.
i dunno. i felt like whenever the game was interrupted with the post game commentary, it took me out of it. i would just like to see how the game pans out without so much information being displayed from the commentary

If I remember rightly Ben did a dissertation or something of the sort on Pyrrhus? Could be someone else in the yogs but I seem to remember Ben mentioning that at some point.
Just came here from triforce haha (I think it’s episode 181 or 182?), I also remember them mentioning Pyrion’s military toys>lego when I was peeking at the big 200. I just remembered seeing a vid on this channel with Pyrion and Lewis.
Pyrion 'Himmler' Flax: channelling a potent German accent fighting for the Reich before miscalculating a tactical artillery strike Lewis 'Quartermaster' Brindley: sending his squad into an assault deployment with substandard weaponry and then blaming Ben The more things change, the more they stay the same
Nice to see some tabletop games back on Games Night. I’m also excited to see other wargames outside of Games Workshop being features. Hope to see more content like this in the future!
This format is really good. Basically the guys talking about the highlights of the game. Doesn't get bogged down with rule checks and anything they aren't sure about so it keeps the video going. i watched this one and the last 20 min game they played and was so dissapointed that there aren't more i can binge on. More like this please. Really enjoyed it
As much as i miss and prefer the live format of battleboys im just happy to see the boys playing tabletop/miniatures again. Pyrion is an awesome addition into the dynamic though and i hope that whatever format you prefer to create sticks around long term.
I always appreciate the production value and love that the Yogscast seems to give to so many of their videos. Always such high-quality content. Even without knowing a thing about the game or even that much about miniatures, I thoroughly enjoyed this video still.
"A bunch of Germans coming across the field with semi-auto Uzi's." -Lewis Brindley So many things wrong and funny about that quote lol Fantastic video regardless of my firearms related ocd
the editing format of this episode was fantastic, a really great way to compress all the good moments of a TTG without the dull parts. would love to see the return of the battle boys in this kind of style
This was really fun to watch. I think watching the whole thing may have been a bit annoying, checking the rules etc, so this edited version was noice. Ta
You've absolutely nailed this format guys, it's perfect! 👌 Loving the war stories vibe with just enough of the dice rolling and banter cut in, very well done. Really enjoyed the Blackstone Fortress vid too! Hope to see more soon, maybe some narrative campaigns, 40k, Kill Team, Necromunda or some games of X-wing or Armada?
I enjoyed the mixed commentary, live gameplay + post game discussion at the same time. It was far better than just doing live gameplay and then having a post game discussion.
19:21 Lewis the entire game. The dice gods are fickle beings. Loved the Battrep, I like the new style of show gameplay AND then the post game discussion. But it also means we don't get hours of content, a small price to pay.
I love this format, it's really refreshing and condensed. I like the idea of pulling the narrative out of the play session and focusing on the story aspect of the game. Also like long-form but it's really nice to have both worlds. Thanks!
I really enjoy the condensed version because it adds some new dimensions to these vids. I do wish you'd still release the whole session unabridged so we can watch along as the game progresses and see all the silly little bits that are missed in this style.
It’s tough to watch board games being played on UA-cam in my opinion. However this format works for me. A nice mix of gameplay with their commentary was pleasant to watch.
After playing so much Bolt Action myself it's so awesome to see you guys upload a video of you playing it on Games Night. Really hope we can see more games of Bolt Action!
Love it guys, it's wonderful to see Pyrion enjoying it so much as well, as we know he really wanted to play this. I love the format, however I would love the full unedited battle to be watchable as well, maybe for members of the main channel? Cheers everyone involved in making it.
Brilliantly executed format, both this and the Blackstone Fortress video. Great flow, interesting commentary, perfect length, and the cherry on top was the editing for the fighting.
I know these videos probably take way more effort to shoot, make and edit than the TTT that get way more views but thankyou for putting the effort in, it's really great. The red/blue lighting/grade is so great.
More of this please! I can see that so much thought and effort went into making this enjoyable to watch, its like some kind of rocket science right here!
So good to see games night back! And j loved the new format of the back and forth between recap and each round! Was really back and forth between who I thought was winning!
just wanted to add to the mountain of positive feedback - format works great and is easy to follow, blue & orange lighting helps differentiate the before & after shots really well
The background color lighting changes from blue to orange was a good idea to show the game highlights and the commentary afterwards.
Oh wow, you're right! I didn't even notice it before you mentioned it
Oh! You're right that's brilliant!
Yeah its a subconscious thing, works.
Yes the more I watch the video after reading this comment the more I like the fact that they did this. It makes it all VERY clear.
I still have questions about how the same brick wall can change colour so radically.
This is BY FAR the best tabletop wargame video format that I've ever seen.
Highly approved.
Would love to see more.
I didn't want to click on the video because games like this can be hard to stay interested in. But this format is great. I wanted it to be longer even
Absolutely. You can really see the work put into the vid and it pays off; defo main channel content here. Also with the after the fact story telling addition it makes what could be 'a too long to watch' vod into something very entertaining to watch on its own in a more accessable manner.
@@massjammster7986 very true I agree but kinda wanted to see that void as well but I can see why this is better for most people

ah yes the phyric victory so to speak or in this case the Pyrionic victory.
Thank you for that quote. I always wondered where the term "Pyrrhic victory" came from.
I could listen to Pyrion's German commander impression all day.
Yeah that was legit
Pyrion and Lewis are making an amazing resurgence! Scrub casting and now MINIATURES I could die.
For real dude I live for this content 😂
