I'm personally not a fan but I'm glad they're trying new things with the game. Though I'm sure it'll be like 2 years before they make another mode. All Psyonix does is work on cosmetics it would seem

Aw Leths a thrower lol. I tend to just go for heavy hits I get so much joy watching someone just go flying across the map. I know throws are a big strat but it's just boring to me so I avoid it. But it's usually how I go out lol

11:42 I'm not sure why people think this... I'm guessing a lot of the rocket league community has never played smash bros. When I send someone flying like this, I chase after them in the air and finish the job. That's the fun part of this mode, imo. Kind of like edge blocking....
Ok but how do you keep the camera from turning around to face the arena after you get out so far? Every time I try that my camera 180s after a certain distance even when I lock on

Leth I created a new gamemode for knockout bash. I was messing around, focusing on juking people and watching them go flying off the map (it's best on Calavera because they can just fly into spikes). I narrowed it down and called it the Pacifist run. You cannot score any points until you are down to one life. If you score any points, you can either leave to a new match or ff the run and play as usual, up to the player. It's a fun challenge. It can be slow at times and may not be easy to make a video of, but even still the amusement and joy I have doing this challenge is amazing. I've tried other variations of rules as well, such as keeping 3 stocks and no points up until sudden k.o., the usual pacifist but a handicap of up to 50 points allowed (cuz sometimes I accidentally do damage and don't feel like ff the run), as well as pacifist until first stock lost. Only once on Calavera have I gotten close to a perfect all 0's game (0 score, damage, grabs, and blocks) which is my ultimate goal. Just thought I'd pass this idea down on to you and see your thoughts :D

Leth the map has a death circle and it gets smaller as the time goes on. Those with good recoveries n car control wont be bothered by it much til sudden death but it does make it useful to hit. Also you can hit someone mid air to hazards or floor as well.

Air jumps are very good for long distance recoveries, if you get launched and you angle yourself the right way you launch yourself straight up, theyre also good for stopping all of your momentum

If you haven’t seen Sunless’ video about this game mode, here’s some tips:
Block counters an attack
Grab counters a block
Attack counters a grab
need some good rotation
*avoid spikes*
As they said in the video, attack doesn't really counter a grab, since attacks are non lethal and grabs can be lethal
@@gregoryzelevinsky9837 almost all grabs can be recovered from by good spammers. It's just the cheep way to get kills. Attacks generally have to be in sequence, or timed when a player has low boost, but they can be just as effective if not more then grabs with experienced players. And attacks get priority over grabs, so if you always grab you are open to attack after attack after attack.... and even 3 weak attacks without you recovering fully will probs get you killed. It's all about balance and game sense.

Attack is my favorite move because everyone mostly just uses grab. Sending people flying just releases a special kind of dopamine. Also light attacks can combo into grabs which is fun

HOLY FUCK that recovery after the heavy attack across the four sets of spikes is one of the craziest things I think I've seen in this game.................
quadrant is really good for going fast too if you just do a front flip over the gaps. carbon is the hardest, have to cut the ramps just right. if you get hit for over 30 points on an attack then it gets a lot harder to come back. if you hit someone for near 40, they're probably gone.

When it was out i used to just hit people off the map and follow them in the air for a second hit and yes i could make back most of the time
The most Knockouts I have gotten in 1 game is 15, and that was like my 5th game ever. O Damage because sending people flying doesn't kill them so there is no point.
one of my friends found out that you can boost while youre grabbed to mess up the other person, it really helps with not getting spiked

@Lethamyr I came into chat one day hoping I could show you this, but red attacks beat blue grabs, so if you front flip using just jump, you can beat someone that's doing the same with their air roll button. Hope that makes sense. Y'all got the rock, paper, scissors part right, but I think you misunderstood what it was for. (Edit after watching the video) you can also destroy by red attacks, but I'm saving that secret for myself because tbh I feel like I'm kiiiinda pretty good at this game lol.
I thought pros just sit in comp, training, and scrims all day this is remarkable to see one in the wild
When someone grabs someone you can actually orange power attack them and it hits the attached guy and the guy using the magnetism move.
How to grab with keyboard? I've i have tried every key change in settings it don't work for me.

Against people that aren’t as good, heavy attack is the best option because people always try to grab but then they’re not good enough to recover. Near the end of the game you gotta start grabbing, but then once it’s sudden KO you gotta fake them a few times to try to see which option they like to use then go for real and counter it.

They be underrating attack so hard but I got it to work very well on grab spammers, for some reason no one like to compare this mode to smash bros, ledge guard them when they try to come back
I think there is damage on the cars tho. Like if they get hit too much sometimes the cars explode without them being trown outside the zone, under the map or in spikes.

I was thinking they should make your boost your health as well and if you don't have enough health you get demoed. so you would have to be careful how much boost you use and smashing people would reduce their boost amount to get back.
Leth here’s a map idea you know the basketball game knockout where there a line and you have to shoot a shot but if the person behind you makes it that person that was in front of the is out
Idea: make someone a heat seeker ball in the normal map with knockout on and you have to try and get the kill while both sides are defending

I'm pretty good in knockout mode, I win mostly of my matches there. However, sometime ago a certain guy called RESOLUTO appeared. For some random reason he targeted me all the time, in all matches. And he won all the matches we went! And he always said "I'm sorry"... RESOLUTO, YOU SHALL PAY
