ive got no probs on Mac in Ableton , GATE mode is the answer to stop sound, haven't had the "lost samples" prob ( yet?) ...maybe i am lucky..donno. Amigo is no joke - Stekker & Dispensa are onto something here! Hope they keep developing it or new plugs further in the same spirit , maybe to other 12bit realms and directions , EMU-SP aliasing , tuning and punch maybe . Would be cool to have an option to tune and edit chops individually - MIDI maped to controller faders inside the plugin. As well as i am all pure hardware head for 30 years and i use S950 MPC3000 Sp12 & SP1200 to this day all day. this plugin is a breath of fresh air in the growing VST emulators overload - it sounds right and feels right and got the limitations just like the classic Hardware Samplers. just my 2cents . Big ups to the Bizzy Jungle Crew!
Thanks! And yes, I'd love to see more of this kind of content please. And I'm gonna check your packs out for sure. Seems vibey and authentic to me, judging by the few ex("samples"😁) presented in this vid 😄
One thing I noticed straightaway with Amigo is when you turn the sample rate down you get crazy aliasing. Having never used a real Amiga, but having dealt with a lot of samples ripped out of old mod files, is that accurate? Is that something you had to deal with back in the day? I did some experiments comparing clean breaks in Amigo to breaks ripped from old Amiga mods and it's pretty convincing, but so are lots of other approaches. Hopefully they'll add the ability to save patches so you can use them across projects more easily.
@@trevor_mounts_music It's fine for the plugin, kind of a cool effect if you want it and I'm not trying to fit all my samples in one meg of RAM. But on an Akai you can sample bass at a very low sample rate since it has an antialiasing filter and you can't seem to do that with this, I was wondering if it was the same on real Amigas.
Amigo is just annoying now. There's only so much fake over exaggerated 8bit i can take. The devs are also annoying and keep releasing awful music. Can people just go back Akai or imitation of Akai (TAL). This trend was fun for a week, let it go now people before jungle becomes a gimmick like breakcore has.
I wouldnt call dropping $1000+ for a s950 subtle. Not everyone can justify that expense. If you have had one since back in the day, that's one thing. But you can not even front that for anyone who just wants to casually make some Jungle, Amigo is a nice tool.
U know its fun and does time stretching / poly chord way faster easier than renoise but I do hope they add more features cause it is fun to throw stuff together in it at least
@jaimebondoza3710 Bitrate plugins sound awful and are generally nothing like interpolation. The screen is not tiny, the S samplers are a joy to use. You made a double post bashing a classic work horse. You're clearly upset at something in life, this is probably deeper than one of they most reliable work horse samplers of all time that only appreciates in value as an investment. Are you ok? How's everything with you?
@DJStKittz In the current economy, 1k+ is standard going rate for a quality workhorse instrument that is reparable for life, (don't hate me for poinying this out, it just is, what it is) an American Fender Telecaster from a few decades ago will be over 1k, so will a really sweet synth, the list could go on my friend. Would you tell a guitar player to use a VST guitar instead? Of course not. I'm not trying to be confrontational. I do genuinely love an S Series rack, it's not a crime. And yes I have mine from back in the day but if you convert the money it's all the same. Even if you paid £200 20 years ago when you were on £4 an hour and you've got your degree now and you're on £50 an hour now with money worth considerably less, or if you brought one in the 80s for a when the wage was £2 an hour, if you tally that up it actually cost more then relative to your probable situation now.

Yes, shitloads of aliasing. Turn on the interpolation option if you don't like that as much. Smooths it out a bit

it won't let me like this twice...
Haha, Thanks, man. Much appreciated.

Amigo is over exaggerated, I'm tired of it already. Prefer a more subtle S950 or S1000.

If that subtlety is what you're after why not crank up bitrate and sample rate or do you just have a soft spot for fiddling with a tiny led screen?
