For all that was put into this Thunder-Tank; it still leaves so much to be desired.....Lights & sounds, a spring loaded cannon, & a rear exit ramp. It would have been nice to have some option to change the seating arrangement as well. Maybe it's time to start petitioning Ramen Toy!
This atleast should have had lights! I just recently the Aliens APC tank from Hiya Toys and it lights up! Unbelievable this doesnt have lights

Thanks for showing the ThunderTank , , you reminded me of how absurdly LARGE Lion-O and Panthro actually were , , i remember a battery powered finger ring device that you push into back of figure to light up their eyes , , , in early 80s i had only one figure , , Lion-O hoooooooo👍😸👍
I think there is a real opportunity here for someone that 3D prints parts to sell a mod kit for the tank. A swap-out for the turret base, whether that's a plate or some other shape. pegs for the front holes, maybe some seats that can be swapped in.
How many people, the moment he flipped the tank over immediately were like "It's those four screws"? 😜
When you read the box it does imply that the gun turret is removable. I contacted super 7 about possibly selling extra chairs but they said it wouldn’t be possible.

here is a suggestion - remove the seats, place a new flat floor , add magnets under the floor and under the seats and you could place the seats farther apart for leg room or facing each other at the sides-
But i would really like to have mine customized when it arrives with that opening door at the back where the lower part becomes a ramp ( if my memory is correct)

I just did the exact samething you did. On the post of the cannon I removed the screw and slid it out from the bottom.
I get your complaint but super seven made the thunder tank cartoon accurate when the thunder tank first debuted it seated lion o panthro cheetara tigra wily kit and kat that's why there are four seats in the back to accommodate the main thunder cats cast . Just alittle heads up Incase your wondering why the tank is made like it is.
I hear you brother but I do not remember anything about a gigantic round pedestal in the back holding up the cannon. So I'm guessing that was left up to interpretation. I'm just making the change that makes sense for me.
What a brilliant idea..but to honest what really kills me about the tank are the four holes on the very top front..surly someone can 3d print some kind of cover..they stick out so bad and qerw the first thing i noticed when i first unboxed the tank
Yep trying to get that worked out! I have a friend working on a 3D rendering and trying to find someone who has a 3D printer!
Wondering why a sliding clip on seat customisation is not thought off from S7 for that area. Which you can put additional 2 more seats space. Plus for the blaster section, the center can be as rachet platform for the blaster. (Example figure stand which you can do for dynamic poses) Utilise the same concept.
Now you can put Mummra The Ever Living in the Thundertank and Snarf LOL!🤗🙄🙏👍

Only learning of this video now, a month late. Nice going! Looking forward to updates. I would suggest you don't even try to match the color exactly when you make your "patch" piece. Go the opposite route and make the patch a noticeably different color. It would look like a floormat. If I had a T-tank, I'd try to figure out how to mount fold-up seats along the sides of the compartment. Also, I'm sure there's a better way to install the cannons, but that would probably require more "permanent" modifications to the tank.

You could make a 3d printed logo and place a magnet in the central circle of the base and inside the central circle of the barrel to be able to exchange them easily
But what about the treads? What kills me even more than the cannon is the fact that the things has rubber treads and casters, but for whatever reason they barely move, and instead it just rolls around on the little dummy wheels on the bottom.
No it definitely rolls! You just have to press down on it hard enough, and on a really smooth surface.

Total waste of resources and tooling on those treads could have been stationary and saved a ton of cost to us.
A third party should make seats or a Thundercats emblem to replace that cannon hole.
That would be awesome but for now I got to figure it out on my own 😁
You could paint it like a silver color and try and line up the holes from the bottom and mark them and then put the screws back potentially from the top, not sure if that would work or not. Then get a thunder cats logo sticker and place it on there, doesn’t have to be too big. Or go matte black and paint the tops of the screws too. Just an idea
It looks like they had a very specific time and budget for engineering and that was the part that got the least amount of attention. Just by looking at it I get a cluster of better design ideas. In it's current state I would fill in the gigantic round pedestal with thin relief Cats emblem (3D modeled and printed). Lengthen the telescopic shaft (only slightly thicker at the bottom vs the top) For the action figure feet, keep it super simple. Imagine the look of flat wooden ice-cream bar sticks. They are connected to the central shaft, like the hand of a clock and are able to pivot, directly over one another - with pegs of course.
Instead of screwing the turret back into the base, you could just use magnets to make it easily removable and keep it in place if you want to put it back in.
I cringed when I worked at modding my Ghostbusters Proton pack, and my Nerf Aliens M41A pulse rifle, so I know how you feel. Luckily, they worked out.
couldn't separate the gun from the Pedestal and then replace the gun without the Pedestal?
That's the next step! I don't have very good skills with 3D rendering so asking a friend to help out. Then I just need somebody to help me with the 3D printing 😄
I hope someone with 3d printing skills watch this video and come up with a bolt on solution for the cannon which includes two extra seats.
I'm working on a new solution but because I don't have very good 3D rendering skills it's taking a lot longer 😅

Bad design. It should have been collapsible or removable when not in use. But for me the highlight was the Soul of Chogokin Robots. Need more videos of those ;)

@@MJR-Reviews Why does nobody ever remember any of the important things about all the lies false promises that guy and his company makes? He litterally says it in the super7 promo video @2:10 a "REMOVABLE swiveling 3 gun turret". He also said it and demonstrated it in another interview when he first showed the prototype to pixel dan. The problem also is that none of the youtubers that interview him never question him on these issues. They smile and tell him he did a fantastic job and that's it 🤔
Way too expensive and laug I able at first. Broke down and bought this week. Figured itd drop in price to 350 or less.....but 375 on Amazon and a moment/day of weakness.
