  • Just some gameplay to show how to stay calm when badly outnumbered and preparing for the endgame. Prepare by choosing terrain and a position that suits your build, recalling the enemy mechs remaining (and their strengths) and assessing the playstyle and skill level of your opponents.

From new or returning player perspective these are some of the most valuable materials avalaible, that You make. Keep 'em coming!
On a second thought, vets will know Your mech just by seeing weapons. chassis and speed, but for others loadout in description could be really helpful.

Thanks for the compliment. I always hope people learn from me and/or others and improve. That's one of the reasons I have this channel!
As for the loadout and stuff, this mech is no secret and neither are the other builds I run. Players like me are more than willing to share to help people come along. This build is one of my favourite builds so one will often see me in it. Anyway, I've also included the link to the build in description and pinned the skill tree in a comment. - BrioS

Poor guy was covering the wrong angle, the one that most people take. That's actually why I went to where I did because most people don't know that angle because it is seldom used and requires range... 😉 - BrioS

Good advice Brios and solid piloting but I would imagine the reds would send a couple of light mechs to your perch if they were clever.

They should have! Snipers are a problem if people leave them alone.
In fact, Adrian in his PB tried it from F4 (my left) but he got spotted and he knew I saw him too so he returned to join the main fight. A friendly Urbie (last to die on my team) actually kept me company so I'm thankful for that.
I cut out that part because watching turret gameplay is only so exciting and I wanted to focus on the 1v4 and teach people how to prepare and plan/predict ahead. -BrioS

Poor Adrian should have just bumrushed me instead of trying to go for cap. That being said, going for cap is a good start as I'm too far to cap enemy base and to slow to respond. So that was my thinking process and rationale behind heading back to cover my base and, luckily for me, he didn't expect me back so soon. - BrioS

Well, this mech is my comfort mech and I call it a "snooze mech" because it's so easy to play once one gets used and competent in it. Still, loads of fun and good games like this occur once in a while - BrioS

There is no such as an assault sniper. All i see is you letting your team go to die in the most selfish way possible.
If you would be closer, take a punch or two from the enemy and share your armor with them, there wouldn't be a situation where you have to fight 1 v 4
    that could've been a 4 v 4 at the end.

You're not entirely wrong and at 9:50, I said as much that I should have dropped down earlier and shifted to the right to get better lines. Probably end up with a 3v5 realistically.
      Just to share...
I used to think like you do so I understand where you're coming from and what you're feeling. That being said, my internal conversation (previously) often went like "if only my team assassinated that enemy sniper" or "I wish we had more snipers that would shoot theirs". Then it occured to me that I have agency and instead of wishing these from the team, I decied to do these to the enemy snipers myself. Taking action personally to deal with enemy snipers rather than wishing things from others...
So I watched, consulted top tier players, watched comp matches and learnt the style. Learnt about map control (eg. Denying areas to enemy to make my team have an easier life), better positioning and practiced. Learnt that dealing shitloads of damage is their job and anything less is under utilising the mech. So, even in this match, I did mention I could have done better.
A lot of this "support" goes unnoticed by the team and all they see is an assault at the rear when they die and spectate. "Support" mechs like a Raven NARC targets and their work is visible as one sees WiFi icon. But all the armour shaved and enemy mechs suppressed and prevented from flanking or shooting team (by a sniper assault) is unseen.
Anyway, just sharing and it's not likely this post will change your mindset or others. The fact that there are SO MANY useless assault snipers mains in the game reinforces your opinion that assault snipers are useless and for 90% of them, they are.
So thanks for the comment and I hope you read my dignified response with an open mind.
Cheers and have a good day. And always, enjoy yourself meching o7 - BrioS

@@ClanBRxV Brios is doing the ~right~ thing here. his team takes a bad route and pays for it. throwing another mech into that bad situation doesn't change things for the better. it may be the "noble" thing to go down with the ship, but changing things and playing to your strenghts instead might (and in this case does) pull off a win instead of a match surely lost otherwise.
yes, there are a LOT of bad and selfish wannabe-snipers out in mwo; this is not the case here.
this is the usual mwo-case of "team SHOULD know better than to do what they do here". one of the many reasons I can't stomach QP matches in mwo anymore, btw ;)
cheers Brios, as usual an entertaining video well done :)

You are totally incorrect if Brios had went up and “taken a punch” they probably would have lost. Fact of the matter is that his load out is hags and erlls. He has a responsibility to his team to utilize that load out in its most capable play style. Which is exactly what he did.
