Have you seen the commercials where they say, "Netflix doesn't want you to find out about this" or "the government doesn't want you to find out about this drone"? It is the same concept as the Satoshi story. It's meant to make you feel all fuzzy n warm and safe. It keeps your eye occupied with the hand that's moving while the other hand is in your pocket.

The patents on cryptography you reference do not really support your thesis. The cryptographic algorithms Bitcoin uses were and are widely used prior to Bitcoin's creation for many things in computing. That would be like saying that Alexander Graham Bell is the creator of the Internet (or even Bitcoin) because it made use of his patented inventions.
Your criticism of the (non) privacy is correct as all transactions are public. Though with effort it is possible to make it very difficult to identify the owner of an address. No different than money laundering really. Not impossible for smaller amounts, but difficult for large volumes.

Dave, I agree with you about Bitcoin, it is a sting operation 100%, but that doesn’t rule out other good crypto’s in my book. Along with physical silver and gold which I stack I also have a big bag of XRP. There’s some other ISO20022 coins I stack also. Do not count them out especially don’t count XRP out as it will melt faces in the near future of people that did not believe in it.

As far as there being a digital only currency in the near future, nope. It can't be done with 100% assuredness of it working. Not with the tech that exists right now. The Internet is too easy to take down. The net is only one good hack, one coronal mass ejection, one big natural disaster, (the list goes on) from being unusable for hours, days, weeks, possibly months. If the Fed makes all currency digital, and the net goes down for a week, what do you think is going to happen? The chaos that would ensue if all our currency was digital and there was no way to access it for weeks, would be unfathomable. They know this. They know they can't implement it yet. Might it be an option with some future tech? Absolutely. Can they do it now? Absolutely not.
But that’s the whole point. Get everyone dependent on something that relies on so much that it’s doomed to fail. Every psychopaths wer dream.

You know nobody talks about cold wallets and how many are manufactured in China, not impossible to think they can have spyware built-in, and once connected to the internet, your coins are gone instantly.

Internet.... You can do that outside your home, the bigger problem is internet access, because using flow control they can block access to the Bitcoin whenever they want... It's a good tool if you want to control buy and selling, not everyone is tech savvy to subvert if they block of public access to a specific protocol such as Bitcoin networks
Silver is the new oil. Only one overall direction it can go now UP. Solar, solid state EV batteries, medical applications, and more. My opinion, under $50 for silver is now a steal of a deal.

This is why i watch stacker vids. I could have bought bit coin when it first came out. Nope nada not me. The constitution doesnt say bitcoin or cryptos. It says gold and silver and to coin money. @@Machiones If you have no internet at home you can do a couple of things to access the internet. Using your phone as a wifi hotspot for your tablet or laptop or take a chance and use the wifi at public places like coffee shops, restaurants etc...
