I had no idea gliders pulled 6+ G's !!! After doing 2.5 G's in a sport planes while doing lupes and rolls I thought that was crazy and I couldn't imagine 6
@@russ549 This glider (MDM-1 Fox) is rated up to +9 and -6G, and that full range is needed from time to time. 2,5G for a loop in a powered plane sounds like very low, I think +4G is a more likely number? Anyway, you’ve made a memorable flight so that’s nice! 🙂
@@LarsHofman yea, I was thinking 2.5 was low to considering we were doing the same kind of stuff as here wich was 6 or 7. Actually the two sport planes I got taken up in were not mine, I was just a passenger and getting a lesson or two under my belt so maybe I didn't fully understand what the guages were saying. I know we were going 230 knts at one point and I couldn't control my facial expressions at all lol. It was a fun time. I wanted to get rid of my ultralight and get a sport plane after that! Yea, I had no idea these gliders were tough enough to do 10 G,so! That's like fighter jet stuff! I wouldn't think with those long wings there wouldn't be to much stress on them but I guess I know nothing about how there built. Well cool, I guess I learn something every day
@@russ549 hehe yeah G’s influences the face. Doesn’t make anyone prettier but so much fun 😉 The long wings actually flex quite a lot. These gliders are amazing craftsmanships and so much fun to fly, so if you ever get a chance to for it!
@@LarsHofman yea, they definitely look like beautiful works of craftsmanship and I’ve learned a lot watching videos it looks like a ton of fun I may do It someday for sure!
@@LarsHofman ok i just do a little with cap 10 and this programm looks to be not very difficult. can you do inside rolling turn and outside rolling turn with your glider ?
@@franckalberto4078 The glider definitely can do both and I'm pretty sure Lars can as well. The program may not seem difficult, but there is still lots of opportunity to lose precious points on the way. Lars did win this, because he delivered a pretty immaculate performance here. He makes it look easy, though. :D

Am I correct that the diagram indicates a tail slide but a backflip was executed instead at 2:05 ?
It is a canopy down, or negative, tailslide. The red dotted line or black dotted line indicates if it is a negative or positive tailslide.

The human body does not handle that very well.
