Great tips, thank you! I also use the underside of my cutting board when cutting onions, garlic or shallots. The top side is for milder fruits and veggies.
If it makes you feel better, I just drizzle it on and rub it in (spread it around, mostly) with a dishrag (that's become mineral oil soaked over the years). It seems to work just fine.
Great video! I’ve been thinking of getting a wooden cutting board myself. When you wash it, is it okay to use a regular sponge and dish soap? (Or what do you recommend?) thank you!☺️

So obvious! How did I not think of that thanks! 😃
Okay, you're a common sense genius! 🙏🌞
I so wish I was your neighbor!
So good to know - i’m not only have several wood cutting forwards but I have my wood spoons, etc., that I will use this on❣️
What kind of brush are you using to rub the mineral oil in?

Maybe it's for cleaning mushrooms?

Will this also work for plastic cutting boards?! Great videos :)
Good idea 🍋
Would an end grain board absorb less odor?
mine smells onion and garlic strongly! This is a life saver!! Thank you!
Love the board, is that 18"?
Is there a non petrol derived oil we can use instead?
If you don't want it going rancid, use mineral oil.
Almond oil is neutral byt you can really use any type if you want. I'm not fussy, I use MCT oil...
Or get a new board
