An unexpected plot but pretty fun
I'm surprised John and Sally got out of this incident Scott free. A real mobster named Henry Hill (portrayed by the late Ray Liotta) warned us that mobsters can act all nice like Mr. Lucas did, and still bump you off anyway. That "kiss of death" crap is just for the movies.
Did you see the episode of Frazier where they went to a mobster for help with something?

Niles' wife Maris is arrested for unpaid parking tickets. Frazier and Niles go to an underworld figure to get it fixed. He doesn't want payment, he just wants Frazier to do a favor. When his wife calls in asking what to do when he proposes to her, encourage her to say yes.. Well, Frazier misunderstands some things she says and tells her to run. Now he owes this guy.
One big thing is, he won't let her have a job. He says, she's had six jobs in the last year. She was fired from all of them. Frazier says, "You're saying she hasn't found her niche." He says, "No, I'm saying she's a dodo. You may love the dodo and want to marry her, but you don't encourage the dodo to fly."
Then he drops the bomb. "Now I have to find someone who will employ her and not fire her for any reason before she'll marry me." Niles chuckles and says, "Good luck finding someone - " Then he notices how the man is looking at him and says, "oh."
It was great. it's called A Word to the Wiseguy if you can find it.
