The nearly 300-metre (980ft) SEG Plaza in Shenzhen, southern China, inexplicably began to shake at about 1pm, prompting an evacuation of people inside while pedestrians looked on open-mouthed. The building was closed by 2.40pm, according to local media reports.

If you've ever wanted to tell how to know if your skyscraper is definitely going to fall, be on watch for the sound of pasta crunching. It means that the myriad drywall walls and metal studs are breaking on many floors. If the building emits this sound and you're still alive, get out.

Since I haven’t seen it written elsewhere: the antenna on the top was vibrating due to a strong wind, and the vibrations traveled down the rest of the building. It has since been removed from the structure and replaced with a sturdier object that provides the same functions and the building is still standing.
tx for the info!!
Interesting. It must be because of resonance frequency. Bridges do that too in strong wind.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
The severity of the twisted sine wave form of that one was shocking, and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did before it collapsed. All it took was the wind that day matching the resonant frequency of that structure.

Skyscrapers do wobble tho.
The higher it is more wobble it’s got due to wind.
It can minimized with special designs and shape of the building itself.
Some skyscrapers use giant pools of water to weigh down the top so that it won’t wobble as much when then wind hits it.
There is a nice video about it
The skyscraper wasn't really wobling tho, it was vibrating because of winds on the antenna at the top.
