Thanks for this Buddy, My Gosh they sure make those handles so cheap,I'll be extra sure to be easy on the new one,Thanks again you've really helped me on few videos 👌 really appreciate it 👍
For $4.99 (USD) you can purchase part number 38353 rivet installing tool, and it comes with plenty of new rivets (assorted sizes) from Harbor Freight Tools. Push the replacement rivet into place in the hole, then squeeze the tool to make it fasten up for a secure fit, and it couldn't be easier.
Take it from me (incase someone on here tells you different) you can't repair the cable. A piece of string lasts a month, then breaks. light gauge wire isn't flexible enough. Do what I do. Next time you are anywhere near a junk yard take as many indicators as you can. They are a unit by the way that simply bolts to the bottom of the cluster with 8mm bolts, and no the entire cluster doesn't have to be removed but it is easier to remove the indicator if the cluster is half way out of the housing.
@@thefoxgod2101 late but wouldnt' you be able to tell by just unbolting the handle pulling it out and taking a picture of the cable before unhooking it?
The linkage is a bitch I have a 96 olds cutlass and the seat belts are door mounted makeing access to the linkage even worse. Open to suggestions at this point.
Where's the rod go? Purchased mine from rock auto. Rod to the latch fell off can't figure how to hook it back up. Cheap shit. Can't even use real hardware. Worthless engineers!
I did not get any new nuts with my dorman handle. And the lever came loose from the door lock and I could not see where the hell it hooked to. W t f. F**king gm junk.
