I've been using Steam for 6 years and I'm only level 9. It would be nice if I could level up for free maybe depending on how much time one spends playing games rather than essentially paying for them considering the fact that I have multiple games with thousands of hours. I'd rather spend money on a new game than to level up... or they could give use to the Steam achievement system. Like earn 25 or more XP per achievement depending on the rarity of the achievement.
Ya, but i do think badges should still be important. Maybye like 10 EXP per achievement and like 10EXP per 10 hours in a game? I thimk that might be worse because one dude could be lvl 100 with just one game and just leave it running all the time.

Yes, there is a 7 day trade hold period. But it's still more cost efficient to level through trades with a bot then it is to go buy mass amount of cards.

It's an easy way to level up, sure, but it kind of takes away all the personal achievement of doing it legit. I may never reach level 100 or anything crazy, but at least I'll know whatever I reach was my own doing.
When you play games like csgo there is a chance of you receiving a card drop. You can craft badges with these cards but only to an extent. If you play a lot of csgo I'd suggest selling some skins and buying keys with them to trade with a card bot!

Don't do the bot it take 50% of the cut. mean if you buy card with 1tfkey to the bot you reach lvl 5, but if you buy card byyourself you could get to lvl 10
Thats why steam is garbage for achievement hunting and leveling up, because you just pay and have to put in 0 effort. On xbox and playstation you cant buy achievements. So if you unlock them it will display your score on your profile. Which is cool because the person actually worked for them.

A cool and quick tip. If there is a steam event that gives a badge at the end, try to participate, The Steam Grand Prix 2019 badge alone gave 2,100 XP
