Good teachers show you to do something properly. Great teachers show you to do something wrong as well so you know how to avoid it.
Great stuff!
Thanks for supporting the art.
Beautiful video. It's very interesting. Thank you for this content 😊 ❤️
Thanks, we appreciate all the support we receive.
I was taught this movement as a pommel strike rather than as a deflection/cut. Thanks for the additional perspective.
Are you referring to the Jie interception? The applications can be approached in a “text book” sense, that is according to the period manuals and by the Basic Cut, or alternative applications. In the long run we should all learn both, as many as we can… thanks for your input.
Great explanation. Thank you
Thanks for your support brother!
Long awaited, thks!
Thanks, your are welcome. Please help us spread the Art share the link around...
No worries. More are on the way, every now and then (as our time allows) we do a UA-cam blitz. So check back Fridays and Mondays for the next couple of months...
The Ge is such an easy cut but so rarely used.
True.
So true, I have landed solid Ge cuts to neutralize cuts where the duifang got inside my guard and had me. Except turning the waist, I landed my Ge before the duifang’ s blade reached me, turning the tables on him.
Nicely done as always, thanks for all the effort in posting these videos, just letting the algorithm know 👊🏼
Thanks, we appreciate the support brother.
Thanks for tweaking the algorithm for us, & supporting the art!
Sounding good! Should there not be a partner with you to make your points clear by modelling the technique.
Rodell Laoshi does have a student help him with demonstrations from time to time, but if you really want to experience how these cuts are used, In-Person Seminars are back: www.chineseswordacademy.com/seminars
