It's taken me years to understand you can never truly understand Fate....but you can damn well hold on for the ride along the way. Amazing AMV.
Fate, and Nasuverse as a whole, is full of awesome material that you can try and figure out for months on end. Especially the kaleidoscope.
It's even pretty simple to its core, just full of spin-offs and other series being set within the Nasuverse.
As a fan from a decade, all I can tell is that the point is how cool of a world Nasu created that other good writers like Narita wanted to write in it

Always found the fate series confusing. I mean the story is hard to follow in some of them like in some it's fine but in others it's just like what the f*** is going on. Did I miss like a one that I'm supposed to watch before this and then watch this one but they do have great fights that is the one thing they do right?
Yes, each series has a different story, but I admit that this Fate anime is one of the best anime in the action fighting genre

Fate/Zero, best fate serie ever
So much goodness came out as a result of that series. One of the GOAT.
It did a lot of damage to Saber's character tho, and it had so many things wrong that Nasu had to make it a whole different timeline from the thing it was meant to be a sequel for. But I will say, it has what is probably the best Excalibur scene.
I prefer FGO more
