I've learned through my 3 years of streaming on Twitch that sometimes, doing something popular can be detrimental to your brand. Literally just be comfortable in your own skin and you'll be fine.
I liked art styles of manga coming from 90s and 80s. I don’t even live in Japan. Not born there either. It’s just that older mangaka emphasised more on breathing life to your drawing and focusing on expressions to invoke emotion in the reader. It was very philosophical and relaxing to draw and see/read.
The whole process of building a story what they want to make and all that was just so fun.
Mainstream isn’t bad but I don’t want to see a copy pasta of everything with no individual interests. This satisfaction is what success always seemed to me
I create what I want. Creativity makes me happy. Not the likes or views. That magic you feel when you create something should be more than enough for the creator.

One of the coolest concepts in life is how different are we from the other humans around. To be happy and confident about our own existence and “jam” is just great.
Social media has done an irreparable damage to our daily lives… why do I need to get X job or study Y major to be successful? I guess that, when we find or acknowledge our own “uniqueness”, we can actually be happy.
Also, Popayán is a region from my beautiful country, hope you enjoyed your coffee, great video !

for me, being yourself in art is more of a privilege, especially economically
You present as personable and passionate about your hobbies. Tbh I tune out a lot of the button mashing (jokingly said) as it's not a core interest, but you seem like someone with a unique edge and your editing is amusing. I find general discussion topics more interesting so hopefully you just be you. We share an interest in the bean so there's that as well. Some detest coffee, others water. You can't be the ice and please the water or steam people but you can share your context. I still check in when the algorithm floats your work to the surface.

I think this is why a lot of artists do both and usually create an alternate identity where they're more true to themselves. Or they pursue multiple areas under multiple names and see which one catches. More than one way to skin a cat! And if you're afraid of messing up - buy more cats!

The algorithm felt it best to focus on viewers who are searching for products I review but as a result my subscribers stopped getting notified. Now I’m tracking the analytics and I think it’s course correcting to notify my actual subscribers more than before.

No, it’s not possible to please everyone so your priority is to please yourself first then the rest will be bonus.
i very much enjoyed this, it was very nice to watch and listen while i had lunch. i always seem to come back to these types of videos after a while and rewatch without the lunch-eating aspect which lets me fully digest (pardon the pun) whats being said, but i think the value of having those niche things that are your unadulterated hobbies and interests are much more valuable in the world of creating anything.
genuine passion always seems more appealing to me than following the flow of trends or what performs the best for whatever audience.
My appetite for digestive puns is insatiable

You can't please everyone. Case and point: modern western gaming and movies.
Find your niche, be consistent, stick to it, and do your best, and people will come.
My first game, King Of Biters, has been in development for over 10 years now, and I don't mind this fact. I had too many ideas and too much drama in my life to really focus on it as a commercial product, but now, as I've found a more comfortable job and reduced my debt and bills, I've found renewed focus and drive to get my work out there.
Am I going to be rich? I don't honestly care; I love what I do and just hope my work can inspire someone to try. 😊

There’s many layers to this and I appreciate you being open about it. Finding the right people who understand and accept us for who we are can be difficult when social media constantly rewards other users for flaming, escalating and ridiculing one another.
