sure it's a toy, but it's made close enough to real equipment that it seems like a genuinely good kit that can be used for more than just noise like a lot of other toy kits. transitioning from this to a real or starter kit would actually make sense to a younger brain due to the consistency, I dig that!!
Dad is good! We want a follow up with your child playing them! I was just online looking for a bunch of bongo drums to have a drum circle for 3 generations of family! I think you played really well and I do think I recognized your last riff!
If you tune it a little higher to make it sound even better Id love you to do a bunch of drum covers with it. It would be awesome to watch and I’ve always wanted to see drummers play on small kids sets
Loved this! Thanks, man. Not sure if you can help, but my 6 year old is looking for a drum kit this Christmas. I can't work out if he genuinely wants to start learning drums, or just likes the aesthetic of an acoustic kit. Would you suggest an electric set or commit to something acoustic like this. 😊
I think an acoustic kit like this would be a cheaper way of doing it.. but electronic kit would be kinder on your ears if they genuinely enjoy it! Pros and cons for both.. I would say an acoustic kit as I’ve never actually owned electronic kit. I never find they replicate the feel of proper drums
Now that I have a real kit and play drums, for some reason I wish I actually took advantage of having a toy kit and actually tried to learn to play when I was a little kid.
im making a one man band setup with a drum kit on my back using strings attached to my guitar and feet would this work good for the kick snare and cymbal?
I suppose it depends on how interested they seem. If it’s just to give them a taste then I’d say it’s perfect. If they really want to give drums a go I’d say getting something bigger as they’ll grow out of it pretty quickly.

Wish you olayed some of the doors or nirvana or maybe even some joy division on it preferably one of the first 2 as alot of jd song need highhats and the kit dont have em
@@RhythmMeThis you should buy a cheap hi hat stand and stuff and play some of the bands i said earlier please and get a cheap 20 inch ride cymbals st this point just mod the kit lmao really wanna hear some of the doors or some nirvana on this drumset thatd be dope
I bought things for my grandson and there is no piece like that inside the snare drum, they sound awful. These drum sets will make your kid not want to play drums. This guy is full of it. He put that piece in there himself and he is not playing back the drums that they sell some other soundtrack laid over it.
I really don’t appreciate the tone of this comment. This is exactly how my kit came and this is exactly how it sounded after I set it up. To accuse me of putting in a snare myself or overlaying the sound from a different drum kit is ridiculous and, quite frankly, insane. You either have no idea how to set up a drum kit or you bought a faulty one.

Couldn’t have put it better myself!
I was expecting much worse!! haha
It was a joy to watch you work your magic with this. I hope your kids love it! :)
Yeah it was much better than I thought it was going to be! Thanks 😊
Absolutely loved how you played toxicity on a kids set 😂
Yes I did! Tempted to do a full version too 🤔

I’m honestly liking that snare sound! Of course, I’d never admit it in public!
It’s pretty good right?! Shout it from the rooftops
This is all you need as a beginner, and it doesn't sound too bad for a toy. Hope your kids enjoy it as much as you :-D
Totally agree. I think this is a really good way for kids to learn. They can actually reach the kick pedal!
Add some hi-hats and it wold be perfect.
yeah, totally agree. Hi-hat is a fundamental part of a kit
Dad is good! We want a follow up with your child playing them! I was just online looking for a bunch of bongo drums to have a drum circle for 3 generations of family! I think you played really well and I do think I recognized your last riff!
Thank you very much! Drumming bringing families together.. love it!
Not gonna lie, this sounds a lot like it would be perfect for some latin percussion!
I totally agree! Maybe I’ll give it a go
Hope you'll give your kids a turn!
I don’t know.. it was so fun I may just keep it for myself
😂
I can’t believe a toy set having snare wires 😂
I know! I was surprised too. Sounds kinda cool
😢😢😢😮
@@RhythmMeThis you should buy a 2nd one and make a 6pc double-kick kit lol
This would be a shout! Adding it to my list of content ideas
Actually sounds better than I thought. I'd stuff a pillow in that kick, but loved the triplets you did.
Good idea with the pillow!
Come Together - The Beatles
Toxicity - System of a Down
Wipeout - The Surfaris
At least that's what I heard :)
Perfect score
It's not the drum set you have, it's the skill
Very true
Actually sounds really good for a toy.
I think so too!
I used to have that kit when I was younger
Nice! Do you still play?
Yes
When they have more practice, I would love you to send a video of them playing it. That would be lovely!
Yeah that would be nice.. They may be taking over the channel one day!
I love it! Do you have a video of your kids playing the toy drum kit?
I haven’t. Maybe one day when they can actually play 😅
4:19 👌loved it
Thanks!

I will eventually do some covers on it. Just got a few video ideas to do first!

Yeah I think this is a great way to start your drumming career!
Can you recommend an acoustic drum set suitable for a 2-year-old?
Probably something similar to this! I got this for a 3 year old. There is a link in the video description to something similar
Brilliant ❤
I bet your kids would hit the drums like a toddler.
Right?! Amateurs
im making a one man band setup with a drum kit on my back using strings attached to my guitar and feet would this work good for the kick snare and cymbal?
Sounds cool! Yeah I actually reckon this would work pretty well. You’ll have to make a video when it’s done, I’d love to see it!
@@RhythmMeThis alright!
I had this exact same thing 🎶
Nice!
The kids looking at this be like: why is my dad playing with my toy and not me??????
They need to be shown how it’s done
Have your kids played on the drum yet?
Ha! Yeah they have. Think they need more practice
what is the name of this set? I need 3!
Check the Amazon link in the video description. Takes you to one that’s the same
Would this be too small for a 6 year old?

I Love My Drums
Me too!
I dare you to put a double bass pedal on there
That would be epic! I think it might just beat it into oblivion though!
Buy a second one and make a double bass kit 🫣
It’s definitely crossing my mind
Has that vintage 50s-60s tone to it 🔥 some Elvis drums if you will
Yeah it totally does! Good call!
I'd want that toy over a real drumset (I don't think I actually do)
You definitely don’t 😂
Child safety looks like children can pinch their fingers on the foot pedal and hurt themselves
I think it’s pretty safe to be honest
@@RhythmMeThis ok you now best it yoiu drum kit so you can test it whit fingers i dont have that drum kit :)
I understand parents who don't want to buy toys for their children that make noise
I’m so glad my parents let me learn drums and didn’t care about the noise

Was that come together by the Beatles that you played?
It certainly was!
should have more toms

So bad then!
Do Stonehenge!
Drum on Stonehenge? Or do Spinal Tap song on the toy kit?

Nice! I hope you got some rhythm from him
Nice socks
Thanks. I chose them myself
First of all you should put some proper heads on it. Second a actuall bronze splash
I think I need to make sure the kids can play before I upgrade! But maybe one day
