Want me to powder coat your parts? Reach out and we can make arrangements!
I started this channel to show my process and help others. When I started coating there was limited content accessible for powder coating so feel free to reach out to my email with any questions concerning powder coat or equipment. For more personal 1 on 1 training/advice we can set up a time and date for calls or video calls from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Click this link for more info.

Awesome!!! I plan on trying 3 stages on a set of rims I have here with mine. Will keep you posted Tyler!!
Let's go! RC-1 for the win!
nice job
So I’ve been looking at the Eastwood dual volt gun as my first powder coating gun but now that I came across this one I think this is the way to go. I’m not planning on doing anything to big just rims control arms and a few more car parts
I may be a little biased but this system is a lot more enjoyable to use than the Eastwood. They don’t even compare in my opinion and multi coats are easier as well. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the RC-1 or anything else. Royalpowdercoats@gmail.com
does touching the part to rotate it introduce grease that can affect the finish?
sometimes when I spray clear vision it doesn't lay the same as the clear and ends up going on in splotches (usually it all melts away but sometimes you can see it in the finish, what causes this?
What PSI do you typically use for smaller parts?
Used my RC-1 for the first time the other day. Results were decent, but I specifically went straight from media blast, blew off with air and then coated. So, had some small defects from outgassing, etc.. But, it was just a test piece anyways. Will be shooting more this weekend and grabbing some videos to upload.
Sorry for getting back to you so late. But I’m glad you were able to get your settings dialed in 👍🏼
@@royalcoatspowdercoating No worries! I actually dug through and found the info on another comment.
I didn’t want to feed it with the max allowed 90 PSI. So just added a regulator and it’s was throwing out nice clouds after that.
Just ordered mine the other day. I saw that there was a light attachment but wasn't sure what it looked like so I didn't pull the trigger 🥴
Bummer! They’re available on the site to purchase separately
What kv and air pressure settings were used on second coat?
Around 30psi and 25kv
2 Questions, Who makes that powder i like that color & any reason you start on the back side of the rim and not the front face? Keep up the good work. Cheers
Prismatic makes the powder. And it can help judge how much powder is on the face of the wheels instead of getting too much wrap but you’re really fine either way. I do it both ways.
@@royalcoatspowdercoating OK thank you and that’s kind of what I thought the reason for going back to front was so you’ve already got a little on the front and you don’t have to try to pound it onto the material to know you’re covered. Great job love your videos keep up the good work bro
I know your DIY booth video was a long time ago, but have you had any issues with the strongway blower you put in it? Keep reading stuff about using explosion proof fans instead, getting ready to build a bigger booth and trying to decide what fan to go with.
Haven’t had any issues with it yet 👍🏼
Any thoughts on the Electron gun?
I don’t have any experience with them but seems to perform well for the money if the price falls in your budget.
Whats the name of the rim stripper you use?
I use Rim Strip. Email me at royalpowdercoats@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing some.
Did you get that color from prismatic?
Yes
What hopper
I was using this one in this video: www.royalcoatspowdercoating.com/product-page/powder-coat-hopper
Wagner Sprint still the best👌🏻
You’re comparing a $500 system to a $5,000 system lol 👏🏼👏🏼
