My favourite is number 2 - though number 3 is of course more famous. Apparently number 3 was Liberman's favourite encore. As a whole, however, I don't rate them as highly as Schubert's other late works. How about you, ADGO?
I love 4, 6 and 2, probably in that order. I also feel, like you, that he composed other piano works which are more meaningful, more lasting I suppose, but these have their own charm, particularly as a group I think. I like their range of moods - mostly sombre and reflective but with enough mirth and romp to have a good time :)
@@ADGO Interesting - I am listening to those 3 to see if I agree. I am currently learning the op 90 number 4 - it is such a masterpiece. I don't think even Chopin wrote better for the hands... a miracle.
