If you thought getting married and having kids is your entire life you need to get out more with people who are achieving or read more. Getting married, and having kids is a small part of one's life if you want it to be. It's all up to you how your life grows or doesn't, no one is in control of that but you. Don't be a follower.
Young lady don't let these women who have lived out their dreams define your path. These are both married women with children. The day they leave their men take their advice. You can bet a stale loaf of bread, a hot wheel car, and a chocolate ding-dong it is a low probability they will leave their marriages. Don't you fall for the PHD in loneliness to live and not love in partnership can be torture. Go listen to the song, "You haven't lived until you loved". It's a torture no one deserves. Go live, go laugh, go create memories. As a woman approaching 50, I never gave or received love chasing a bogus career. I could have cultivated a family rather than chasing a career in a racist or let's say prejudice society. Everyone didn't get the "White House" with a gated fence. (Take a look at all the student loans, that part okay, and that "both" the Obamas also had "student loans" from Ivy leagues). So let's look at the ratio that's fair to you, now. I promise you will come out much cheaper finding someone to love with the hope of a future than one more degree, certification, or academic invitation reference Jeremiah 29:11. I pray you all read this small token of "light" that I could have used at 26, be blessed. One more thing, did the host not mention she seemed at peace. When you find real love, precious moments, and true joy it's a gift whether married or single that we can experience here on this 🌎. I shared this because as single person when my health
declined from a hit and run there was no spiritual, emotional, physical, financial help in place for me. I had every protection on the job you could think off ADA, disability, you name it I had it. Yet, I am black. So the medical professionals that treated me for months didn't fill out "any" of paperwork which means "nothing will be available" even if I submitted the medical paperwork myself was just another "act of prejudice". The hospital was fully aware my health was declining so I say life with a supportive person makes a huge difference. Now, believe I have a dependable God who is my provider and I thank him for my road back to recovery. I just want you to know what the Bible says, "....it is not "good" for man to be alone". It's taken me thirty years to learn, its easier and cheaper to live, laugh and love. You see all those three things are free. There are going to be those who say well I was married, or my relative was married with no help when they got sick but this is not all married people. There are marriages that stick through hard times. It's up to each person and each person is different. Along the way, we can only pray that God guide us to the divine love that is best for us.
A lot of people feel this way and I'm glad they are dealing with this! It's a wonderful thing, but children grow up and sometimes spouses die or leave you. Knowing who you are helps in all these many transitions of life. We do want people in the 🌍. Marriage and family is wonderful! Like anything what you make it!

Don't put all into a.career that won't fulfill you or a person. I say focus on God should be paramount. He has the Master plan!

Mikell, you didn't have to remind anyone that Michelle Obama WAS First Lady (Freudian slip on my part). She has been doing that from the moment she left the White House. That's how she makes her millions. She seems to have done a very poor job raising her two girls. One smokes like a chimney on the streets of Los Angeles. A pack of cigarettes and a lighter are her must haves 24/7. Sasha dresses like a Drag Queen and is not averse to exposing her belly button while pounding the LA streets. Mother dearest is boasting that when she visited her "damsels" apartment, coasters were laid out. And her point is?

This is the good part when you actually understand more of yourself, of life, and you can live more purposefully… more lovingly. I have 4 daughters and many nieces, cousins, and sisters by family and by heart. There are lots of amazing women in my life. I don’t want any of them to be surprised or frustrated by their bodies, but to cherish and know how to care for their bodies. I want them to have the answers I was deprived of at their age. I suffered for years with female issues that were not prioritized by doctors at the time and I had annual exams. We are the transitional generation aiming to make our quality of life better, especially for the generations that follow. Thank you, Tamron, for this interview. You’re a gem!🙏🏽💜💐

As a woman in my late-20s, I feel the pressure Michelle addressed. God has been working on me to release it and surrender to His Path. Her words affirm that I make my life fulfilled: not a man, a ring, a child, or a position. I’m believing God for all of those things while being enough for myself🤗

Trust God for sure. You are beautiful. I turned to God fully at 28 and now 33, I'm never looking back. My life has changed in a way unimaginable and that's not to say I don't still have my struggles even now as I'm phasing through life, but now I have the tools and framework to make better decisions based on truth. Run into God, you feel it, you won't regret it. His timing is everything. I recommend the "Bible Project" (they teach about the bible through animation videos and other resources; very impactful) and a book "Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers" I love this book. Its not a "self-help" book, its fiction not based on real characters, but it's a true story of God's love. God bless you both, and every one on their journey. Take care.

Coming from the generation that Michele comes from I understand this conversation. Our mothers didn't want to talk about things due to their lack of understanding or the way in which they were raised. I'm glad to see that she is broaching this subject matter. Also, she broached that her daughters could make their own happiness instead of following the norm of society. Marriage does not guarantee happiness. The fact that girls are socialized to get married and have children. Just because you have children doesn't mean that you are going to be good at parenting. A lot of people who have children don't make good parents.
And for those who don’t get married or have children…it does not mean your life is meaningless. Everyone’s path is their own ESPECIALLY when they own it!
Especially since men are not taught from a young age to center marriage and children in their lives and to hurry into marriage before it’s too late - so we already have a disconnect

A friend introduced me to evening prime rose tablet, to combat menopause. I didn't feel no different at the stage. I and 63 soon yo be 64. I guess a little exercise helps with the process.

As a woman who went through menopause and still gets hot flashes, I had to figure it out on my own. My Mother never talked about it. It's no joke. Your entire body changes from the inside and out.

I hope I would be able to read Michelle Obamas book this coming holiday season. Being in the same generation zone I recognise and appreciate her ideas. For instance I don`t take marriage as the sole source of happiness.
I jumped off the marriage/partnership norm at 29 for almost 30 years ago. Since then I have been living a fulfilling spiritual single life. I have also built up a toolbox with full of tools which help me with my personal journey. Hope she lists some of her tools in her new book, then it would be interesting to see if there are some similarities with mine.

Amen,If you get to menopause, its a blessing 🙌 people tend to forget the gift of long life when there so many people who don't make it so far.I don't know much about menopause but my husband is guiding me given the fact He is a Health care provider.I am from a third world country and never heard of menopause until I moved to the USA .
