Hello! I hope you were able to have a little bit of fun today! I was trying to sew, chatting with my daughter and playing with my granddaughter today. I now glad to be sitting and watching your video. Thank you for posting this and your time.

Looks fun and easy! When adding the couching to the edges, do you leave room for the binding? Would love to see an up close picture of the binding.

Great video. Why type of needle did you use? Some people use topstitch, microtex some use stretch?

Very interesting. Would have liked to see how you attach the yarn at the beginning of a square that is not at the edge.

I don’t cut the yarn in the middle at all, I just reverse back on itself and keep going so there are no loose ends. Kinda like a continuous conga line!

@Sue Sweeny I think what you are asking is how to get started if you just ran out. My idea would be to start in an area of the next block that you knew you would be able to stitch over again. As in..start at the bottom, go up to the block you need to get to, stitch back down where you came from, and stitch over/tie down the beginning edge. I hope that was clear.

Cindy this Longarm is a Handi Quilter longarm. I've had mine for many years and just love it!

Not my cup of tea...more work than sewing them all together to begin with, but what makes your boat float...we all need ideas...

Billie no worries, all methods are welcome here. I used to make t-shirt quilts the traditional way and for me this way is much faster and I'm not wrestling with the weight of the quilt. Everyone has their favorite method and as long as we are creating its all good!
