Good morning Pennsylvania 🌞 Just starting my day having my coffee ☕️… Been looking forward to seeing this… I like your technique and build process… I went back to your video you did on the P-80 Shooting Star you built. SO, I just purchased off €Bay The AIRFIX 1/72 Shooting Star ( classic kit ) Photo Etch for that kit… Decals… And the SQUADRON IN ACTION book… Found some great COLORS and MARKINGS references… NOW, I wait for all that to come in the mail… I like your technique and build process, I’m thinking that will be my next project… Sorry I got away from your video… Just wanted to share… SEE, you do inspire people 😊 Thanks for letting me ramble CHRIS 🇺🇸
Right on, Chris! Inspiration is the goal 😉! 1/72 was my scale of choice as a youngster. There are lots of great 1/72 kits available. I didn't get into 1/48 scale kits until later in life. You can contact me with pictures of your builds at: jonsmotorcycle@hotmail.com Cheers!
A really good choice for Spits. I’ve enjoyed watching this kit come together and I must say you’re an ace with the rattle can! I’m in the process of a 1/72 BAC lightning from airfix that I shall airbrush in alclad. I will say that Airfix has that deep panel look on a lot of their kits and that’s why I go with 1/72 on Airfix. They can be more forgiving of my handy work. Thanks!
Thank you! Airfix has lots of potential if they can step up their game on the fit, smoothness and surface detail of their plastic parts. In comparison, my short-run Special Hobby Re. 2005 has much better surface detail and petite engraving (like a Hasegawa of the 1990s). Cheers!
Hello Jon, what better than being on vacation and starting the day watching an excellent review of a great construction process, it is true that the kit could be closer to a toy, however the result takes it away from that destiny, it was perfect for my appreciation. Regarding the problems that have occurred, I must mention that the nose areas of those models that have the bulbs in the engine, I have assembled the ICMs and they also give a similar problem, plus the free engine that they come with hahahaha. Greetings and until the next video

Great looking kit, especially cockpit details. I know Airfix reviews for 2023 and 2024 have been up and down, however I've been working on thier 1/72 Spitfire kit purchased at Hobby Lobby for a huge price of $6.00 on sale from $12.00. ( 20 bucks for three kits ) The detail is remarkable, smooth plastic with excellent revit and panel lines. For fighters I typically build 1/48. However the 1/72 kits , have been fun, and coming along quite nicely with your great video build review techniques. The hard part is going to be able not to put so paint levels on to fill in or cover the fine detail. Cheers till the next one.
Supermarine Seafire FR 46/47 kit by the same brand and scale does offer much better surface appearance (i.e. panel lines), despite its age. Anyway, you have obtained the best results from your work on Spit Mk XIV.
Thanks, Giovanni! Airfix's own PR XIX (19) also has much more petite surface detail and panel lines, even though it's an older release. It seems Airfix took a step backward in quality on the XIV. Cheers!

I think it looks beautiful. I especially like how the panel lines and rivet details pop out.
Thank you!

Thank you! That sounds like a good deal on those kits. I'm glad the technique videos are helpful. Cheers!
Very cool version! The result is quite nice and your metal finishing is excellent.
Thank you!
It would be great if I could send you some pictures of my models I’ve built…
Let me know what works best. CHRIS 🇺🇸
