Upon further review, there is also a protectron on the upper roof balcony of the Torrance house name Jacque who is wearing a tuxedo. Much like "Jack" is wearing a tuxedo in a picture at the end of the Shining. At 3:48 of the video, he is actually behind me on the balcony floor.
Salem in fo4 is 100% NOT a Stephen King reference... it's a location with a history around witches, which it exactly what they reference in the game. The Salem witch trials are, or at least used to be, common knowledge.
I love how you include silent hills OSTs in your videos, makes them TWICE as better to watch. Keep these horror type of supernatural videos coming. Really enjoying the creepy fallout lore
Just gonna throw it out there; Stephen King HATED the Stanley Kubrick version of the Shining. He went out of his way to make his own, more accurate movie. It's terrible. But. King saw HIMSELF as Jack, so he didn't want Jack to be completely irredeemable like how he was in the Kubrick version. .. also the King version has a skeleton guy who tells bad jokes. .. the King version is just weird and makes very little sense.
The timeline of King is interesting. I know at several point in his career he participated in drug use which has made some of his books.. interesting to say the least.
Great video I have a thought: I think the clown with the balloon being inside the refrigerator is also alluding to the scene in the movie where it contorts itself and comes out of the refrigerator very creepy scene.
@@ConstellationsGaming thanks for being able to add fresh insights to a series where all the lore has been beaten to death by countless other content creators :)
@@ConstellationsGaming Yes, i grew up with the books. Loved the Dark Tower series, seeing how it showed the connections to the other books. Im old enough to remember when alot of these books first came out.
If I’m not mistaken don’t you get a car in fallout 2? Someone you encounter is fixing it up and that’s how you fast travel. That car, I believe, is a 1960s Plymouth Fury, just like Christine. I can’t remember if it’s actually red or just rust. So you missed a pretty obvious connection there. Assuming I’m remembering that correctly. In that note you didn’t explain FO4’s Christine too well. Is it actually a killer car / boss? Or is it just a glowing erected red car?
I didn’t know that, but now I’m going to have to look into it. Thanks for sharing the info! As for Christine, people have questioned weather it’s a glitch as you can die by a red car without her blowing up. Some view it as a direct Stephen King reference since the car also glows, while others have called it a glitch. I’m inclined to believe it’s an intentional reference since there’s a few other King references peppered in the Fallout universe.
I can honestly say The Shining is the only book I ever read as a kid that actually completely scared me...and I loved it so much I watched the movie. Between that and Bram Stoker's Dracula (can't recall which I read first), I've loved horror ever since.
Haven’t read Bram’s Dracula, but I’ve only heard great things. Thanks for the share: it’s next on my list! I’ll agree, the Shining was amazing to read!

There are natural and artificial ways between the levels of the tower just like there are natural and man made doors between. Love me some Stephen king most his stories connect to the tower. what a lovely convergence of my special interests! great vid.
All credit goes to the devs. Insane work they pulled off 👏🏽👏🏽. Glad you enjoyed it (:

Pet Sematary is awesome. Love the Easter egg

Great call, and great book. Did you read the Dark Tower series along with it? Glad you’re into that lore too

There's a game of hangman being played on one of the northeast military train yards in F76 concrete base pillers that spell Crimson King.
Definitely looking into this. If true, what a cool Easter Egg

You get a car in Fallout 2, it's a dark grey and black car, mostly grey. It's called a Highwayman

there are so many easter eggs in fallout even todd howard doesn’t remember them all
a lot of these were a huge reach, but by all means have fun
I thought that tricycle looked familiar
It’s interesting to see how often it pops up, and we’re glad it makes an appearance from time to time (:
I've done a few playthroughs with a Roland character. We need a whole Dark Tower mod.
That’s a great idea. A Roland-esque character would also be a cool companion to roam the wasteland with too
no. even better. We need a major Dark Tower game to make up for the poor excuse of a movie they tried to pass off on us.

If you want peak Cocaine King though, you have to watch Maximum Overdrive. Coke was easily half the budget. It’s that god awful.
