I ordered 2 1/2 gallons of Hydratain ES & my husband heard me talking about the product, so he ordered me 2 gallon jugs of regular Hydratain so I’m gonna be good for a while on my 7,500 square feet of lawn ❤
I thought he never listened when I spoke…my bad. He’s the best!

Johnsons baby shampoo does the same thing as Hydrotain for 1/25th of the price, it is also a natural surfactant. I add 100 ml for every four gallons of water in my backpack sprayer. I add it to everything I use in my sprayer and I use all liquid products, my lawn is money.

Love the epsom salt recommendation. Look into the Bioadvanced version called Lawn Root Moisture. Waaay less expensive than Hydretain. You can just put maybe like 6 oz/1000 every 2-3 months. $20 for a 32oz bottle.

I got a gallon of Hydretain on Amazon yesterday for $64, which is cheaper per oz compared to the Lawn Root Moisturizer.

U know i’m a fan of the channel my dude!!
I keep my lawn green in summer by watering more often for shorter amounts of time(3 zones for 10 min. Per zone) and i water very early in the morning.
    4:30 am. Colorado is
very dry and gets very hot also🥵🤙🏽

Thank you for the video YardBrah. This is a great tip for those who want to keep their lawn from going dormant. Have the green lawn in your hood, while others are turning yellow. Keep your lawns looking UhGood

Well it's tall fescue, should have deep roots. You could put down sea K to help roots grow, humic acid to help soil, & then use Bioadvanced Root Moisturizer. Water it all in. For fertilizer, use N & K, & cut grass higher.
I put sea k & humic on last week. Just sprayed Root Moisturizer a few days ago. It's about to be 90+ the next week.

See if a local hydro store has compost. Our big box stores don’t have the good stuff and our nurseries charge a lot. For example I can’t get fox farm ocean forest for $12/1.5 and a hydro shop or $27/1.5 at a nursery. That’s overkill but they might have something else for you. I live in socal

Man haven’t had a rain shower for over 3 weeks. Yard is crispy for sure and I watered a lil section this morning and I swear by afternoon it grew some and got a lil greener lol. Funny thing is my front yard stays shaded most;y in the afternoon from the trees around the yard. Think I’m going to wait till fall to reseed and all then use the hydrotain next year.

Always used the liquid hydratain, slash hydro holder. Going to experiment with the granular this weekend, so it was funny to see todays episode was about tips to crispy lawns.
Ps. You aint missing anything up in the PNW, rainy breezy and cold weekend up here.

I have not found the bioadvanced version in So. Calif. Good suggestion on the lavender epsom salts. I get mine from Amazon on. Unfortunately, my ph is at 5.5 so will need to lay down some lime.

My KBG is still holding on pretty good so mine is thanks to Turf Titans Hydro Holder and Drought Defender plus Nature's Lawn and Garden aerify plus and biological dethatcher I mix all of this in my backpack sprayer together and call it a nice lawn smoothie it's kept it green but like you said most importantly water like your life depends on it and it has saved me countless times and I'm in the transition zone where it gets extremely hot and the humidity makes it worse here in Tennessee

Brominator, Mike Amick wants you to give him a ring for some updates he has I think. I’m about to dethatch as well. Is it cool to do both dethatch and verticut or do they pretty much do the same thing? I have tons of thatch. Like tons. I’ll send pics of the thatch mountain.

    • @EyzeBlue
      @EyzeBlue 4 місяці тому

They are different broski. I detach once spring kicks in and the grass isn't wet. I verticut and aerate a HEALTHY lawn before overseeding, then rake in and compost on top. I generally do the verticut/aerate and hydrotrain right before summer hits. I hope that helps broski.
