@@misterchurch666 Word of warning, the Summer Camp shelter, has a lot a places where items just sink below the ground level. Above the pond area, seems to be the worst part for sinking. Maybe it is supposed to quicksand. Bethesda quality control and testing strikes again.

I had a camp built along the old southern edge in between what is now the weather station and the ranger station on the north of the expansion. They raised the ground for some reason so now my camp is half underground. Still useable and kinda looks cool
I had a similar thing happen to my mansion under the map, except they lowered the ground so it’s floating and you can’t get down in there anymore (I mean I can make a new entrance but heh) lol it’s ruined
I set up a camp just up from the Naked Creek, the Threshers came to look for me and did attack me unprovoked. I also encounters a Blue Devil after a lightning bolt hit the satellite, making that sound that is made when you activate the Mirelurk signal at Specticle Island in 4
I made a camp at that ice cream spot. Its a rad little location. Next one will be one of the waterfalls. 😊 You can add items inside the ice cream shop too.
Idk if you showed it, I was making my own camp at the time. But by the radio tower part of the new quests that's guarded by Mutants, is a tree house up the hill. I put my camp there and turned the tree house into a store/ workshop. There's also a body on the steps that you can use the new "arrow props" along with a "no trespassing sign" overall I think it's a decent area. Im not the best builder, but I'd definitely like to see what you can do with that, cause you gotta use rugs to place objects in the tree house. Maybe one day if you're on, you can hop in my lobby or vice versa. And I can show you what I did. Overall good video Church🤟

the Location at 20:28 didn't work out well for my camp, but a short walk slightly down from it along the River had the perfect spot for my Camp and so far no one has used the small Pool of Water so my Camp has placed 100% of the time, only downside (and something you might not have known) is it's right on a Radstag spawn so whenever i spawn into a private world or someone joins a server and causes a mob reset, a bunch of Radstags Spawn and attack the base, that said a few glowing Radstags is not really a deal breaker compared to constant Super Mutant spawns or Nukes
If anyone wants to play as The Cook from FC5, 3:58 is the spot for you! I'm kind of amazed you didn't start this video at the Three Ponds location; I've been looking forward to seeing some amazing builds here (that I can copy).
My only gripe about the new region is that the game won't show where a nuke lands in that region. 99% of the time a nuke will start the event but to the 1% chance, you will not know if your base is getting ground zeroed. Otherwise, this region has some of the best real estate for building thus far.
13:32 I noticed that none of the new water streams/rivers have snaptails growing in them. Actually when I think about it.. there is zero plant life for ingredients anywhere in the new area.

I don’t think I’d build in the first “Scariest Camp spots in America” set.😱 I like the ‘Comrade Chubs’, ‘Waterfall of Specialness’ and the southern ‘Massive Trees areas’. Water & High places with a view are my favs tho. It’s tempting, but I’ll probably avoid 3 ponds for now (I still build in the ‘ugly stuff’ category and don’t want to contribute😂) Looking forward to seeing what u come up with at any of these new locations. Don’t make us wait too long please!☺👍

I set up my camp built around the sandbox at the playground. Only downside was the lighting strikes theswing set constantly. Destroyed the new tent i set next to it.
There is a big dryish pond left near old crimora mines that got an ogua spawning in the middle of it ya could make a camp with it AS a pet because it refuses to leave the pond unless ya get close or got turrets
I'm going to try to build a blue ridge camp near that playground area. And I'm going to test the weather station thing. I hope we can use them here, at least in the not so stormy areas. Great camp spots shown👍 I'm currently still waiting for the update to download lol.
@misterchurch666 The weather stations actually work. I'm really surprised. My camp is right by the trading post, so it's in the super dark part of the storm. But I kind of like the ambiance of the dim lights I had placed lol.

About a week or two ago I built a camp on the southern most edge of the map on a high ridge overlooking the new region. I’m interested to see if my camp is still there and what the view looks like now.
It looks like Naked Creek was changed for release, cause now instead of a friendly Thrasher it's a gaggle of hostile ones and some pheasants. Really sad cause I wanted a pet turkey raptor :(
FYI, if you happen to have a campin an older location, the clift in the south west corner over looking the ash heap, depending on how tucked away your camp is it may no longer be accessible. Mine is not. Says its out of bounds. I am sad, was my best camp.

Have you ever come across any locations with pre-exisiting radio tower type stuff that you are able to buiild in? A UA-camr by the name of Fuzz Brain found a spot that is nice but of course Bethesda doesn't let you build in that area in Adventure mode. I want to do an immersive build of some type of Enclave/military signalman with access to a radio tower antenna. I could plop Raider Punk in my camp in an enclave uniform, I think it would go nicely. Especially since he's so secretive about his "special network" of radio operators. If all else fails in finding a spot like this, I'm thinking of just finding a nice elevated area on a cliffside and use the lightning harvester drop merged into a utility box generator... What do you think? I'm not even sure if you can drop merge things into generators.
I know fuzz! he's a good fella, and I know which radio tower you mean (the one near 76 right?) there are a lot of locations like that that really annoy me. There is a spot that might work, you used to be able to build there idk if you still can. On the road when you first enter the Mire in the south, to the left there is a building that is either a radio station or some kind of outpost. A ghoul spawns there but you used to be able to build there

It's basically built on a big rock just a little bit north-northwest of the stranded Commie Bear location. It's a solid location for the type of build i'm doing. I'd definately be down for some constructive citisism... or just mean critisism if you feel like it. I'm on PC.
try placing it on the roof of the shop/close to that area in the parking lot, you cant go too close to the road or it turns red! If it still doesn't work, it's because there is a survival tent nearby most likely

@@misterchurch666 lighting seems to be an issue in all the open shelters like the wasteland ones we got. Although I haven’t seen this one yet so hopefully it’s at least manageable so I can actually try and build something that looks good. All the shelters besides the root cellar are just too big to do anything with that looks good
It wouldnt ket me set up a camp in the cave, nor the beach unless i was off the gravel, just far enough away from the water where the camp civle diesnt reach it
for the cave you can set up inside the cave or above it, if the beach with the tire swing isnt working, someone might have a fast travel tent blocking it or something
@@misterchurch666 That should work. A vendor and legendary scrap machine from walking distance from my camp is mandatory I think. I like to make nice builds. Not a big fan of having to fast travel the whole time. 7 more minutes for the update to download...
I found an absolutely perfect flat spot near the southern border and it's absolutely worthless because Bethesda fucked up with the lighting and if you walk past a certain point across the entire length of the map border it somehow disables shadows for camp items and looks like shit.
I just double checked and you can! Make sure your module is closer to the back of the shop, it won’t let you place it near that camper in the road. Also make sure no one has any survival tents nearby - those have massive footprints
It does don’t worry! I double checked today in a private server! Make sure you are placing the module down near the back of the shop, if you get too close to the road it turns red. Also it helps to do it in a private server in case someone has a tent nearby that blocks the surround 40 miles

@@misterchurch666 lighting seems to be an issue in all the open shelters like the wasteland ones we got. Although I haven’t seen this one yet so hopefully it’s at least manageable so I can actually try and build something that looks good. All the shelters besides the root cellar are just too big to do anything with that looks good

character build? on PC who knows 🤣 bloodied commando squishy with level 15 handmade dooky fixer, etc
It wouldnt ket me set up a camp in the cave, nor the beach unless i was off the gravel, just far enough away from the water where the camp civle diesnt reach it
for the cave you can set up inside the cave or above it, if the beach with the tire swing isnt working, someone might have a fast travel tent blocking it or something
Someone needs to make a ewok village in those big trees

unfortunately not, but there is a trading post that is kind of like the nuka world on tour crafting area
@@misterchurch666 That should work. A vendor and legendary scrap machine from walking distance from my camp is mandatory I think. I like to make nice builds. Not a big fan of having to fast travel the whole time.

resource nodes? yes! I don't know how many or what all types there are, but I saw at least two, one of them was a junk extraction spot

I found an absolutely perfect flat spot near the southern border and it's absolutely worthless because Bethesda fucked up with the lighting and if you walk past a certain point across the entire length of the map border it somehow disables shadows for camp items and looks like shit.

I headed straight to the "really cool river island" and started building until I got shot in the knee from the servers crashing over and over :(

Just tried to build at the ice cream shop and it will not let you sadly :(
I just double checked and you can! Make sure your module is closer to the back of the shop, it won’t let you place it near that camper in the road. Also make sure no one has any survival tents nearby - those have massive footprints

It does don’t worry! I double checked today in a private server! Make sure you are placing the module down near the back of the shop, if you get too close to the road it turns red. Also it helps to do it in a private server in case someone has a tent nearby that blocks the surround 40 miles
