Yes those were the days ! Used to go out early before the shows started; grab a coffee and a couple of egg sandwiches. Then enjoy 2 hours of car/truck education and enjoyment ..... Especially going back to the 90's. TNN....SPEED channels !!
I'm currently backdating the grille on my 1978 G20 with a grille from a 1974. This video was nice to watch before hand to give a little idea what is involved. Great job on the modifications. JC.
Always loved the show, it's one for real at home gear heads. I'm building a 77 dodge maxivan with a built big block 440. Once I get everything done right mechanically I have a ton of old 70s nos parts that my dad and I have tracked down over the last couple of years. Also going to try my hand at a handmade stainless grill
Great episode. Even as an experienced auto enthusiast I'm still left corrected by Stacey. I sometimes think "no don't do that" but then when he finishes I think..."ok definitely the right choice".
I have the same van that had the grill already installed but the headlights and turn signals are still stock 79 didn't have the bezels though need to find those then i will be using your exact method. Love it thanks.
I'd use the factory bumper still. Pie cut the center along the top surface edge and 2in. of the bottom roll giving a more angular look matching the factory grill and tucks in the ends closer to the fenders for a more flush appearance to go along with the bodywork mentioned earlier in the vid.
Have a 73 Chevy G10 Shorty, Burnt Orange with the original 350 engine & transmission. I’ve had for few years. Get asked few times a month if it’s for sale.
The Stacey I grew up watching and idolizing would have painted the grill, mounted the parking lights and bumper! I like the advertisement segment, just wished it was shorter than the wrenching segment.
sorry Stacey vans are getting popular because everything else people would want is basically unaffordable. not because they might be cool even rusted out buckets are insanely priced.
I miss the long past weekends when these shows were on TV in the early to late mornings.
YES, the Powerblock on CMT!
Used to be a great way to spend a hangover on Sunday morning!

I couldn't afford a new vehicle 20 years ago, certainly can't do it now. Stacy inspired me to learn how to fix my vehicles back from the Trucks! days.
Thanks for the quick feature on the car. Never thought it would get picked.

This was a great episode. Very informative and entertaining.
Much appreciated!
That's a nice video their boss I've got four of them Chevy vans and I never thought about changing the headlights I've got the 89 with four headlights
I remember the custom van days well…don’t forget that groovy shag carpet! You dig me man?

Send that oem grill van off to be chromed like a billet grill.......it will look so much better
Childen's book! Cool! Inside the Id of Stacey David.
I really like your van, including I have idea about you painting it root beer, and naming it the root beer rag.
The yellow is growing on me, but we'll see when we get to the paint stage!
My 1977 G 20 is next project in the shop after being parked since 2006. 😮

so awesome!
Problem solver garage has a complete how walkthrough on how to convert a 90,s G20
van to 79 G20 grille and headlights and turn signals.
You say these vans are easy to find? I can’t find one. 🥺 such a cool project!
I would have a lifted off road van!
Stacy David must be a huge fan of Gene Simmons and Kiss. He has copied Gene's hair do to perfection.
I sure would like to get the grille that was discarded. One of my headlight bezels got broke.
The original plastic grille from this van was cracked pretty badly.
@@OfficialStaceyDavid O.K. ... Thanks for the reply. I have to park my van behind the shop or people constantly stop in to ask if it is for sale.
It would be nice if somebody would design a grille that was stainless steel that would bolt on that year of van.
😁😁👍👍
3:53 what if you damage the fender? You now have to make a custom fender brah 🤔
A hotel on wheels
What the heck happened to Project street sweeper? Never finished it or said what happened to it
Quit looking at the VAN!!!!

Get a 4x4 kit .
Why didn't you just change the core support
They're not easy to find, so I wanted to show how to modify the existing parts.

Stop looking at the van
