About Me
Hi! My name is Jenn! I started this channel in April of 2018 to meet bookish-minded people and be nerdy with them. I mostly focus on Romance Novels and I'm not afraid to get a little wild. After losing my job in early 2022, I started content creating full time. It's only because of the amazing Romance Community that I am able to do this.
Thanks so much for watching!
XOXO,
Jenn

Jagger Cole is definitely overlooked. His books are some of my favourite mafia books. I’m so looking forward to Reckless Hearts.
Same on Twisted Pride and Twisted Emotions. I've been trying ever since to recreate the same feeling I had with them. No luck so far.
Yes!! Remo & Nino, no one else can ever compare and I've read hundreds of Mafia books. Like you once said in another video of yours those 2 brothers are 'kings among men' and I don't think any other Mafia H I read will ever take their #1 spot.
Also need to say you were the reason I continued Sophie's series because I wasn't impressed with Brutal Prince but I trusted your opinions on the next books and was so glad I read them all, Kingmakers included. And yes I also read Run Posy Run and Sam Mariano's series because of your recs, and loved them, so I was really happy you mentioned them too. Your Mafia recs are always the best!
Awww, thank you for trusting me! Some series just take some time.
And yes, Nino and Remo reign Supreme!
I feel kind of proud of myself that I guessed your top 6 correctly to the books!
I agree 100% with you regarding Cora Reilly. My favourites are Remo Nino and Kiara. So I end up rereading their books. I read Twisted Emotions for Nino and Kiara but I kind of read Twisted Bonds for Remo and Kiaras relationship.
They are just stunning books. Always a favorite for me.
The Born in Blood series always puts me in an old place of what early 00's romance books were like. I love Luca...looovveee🤤. Aria got on my nerves in later books but still some good reads.
My first mafia romance was Dmitry's Closet and I've been hooked ever since.
I just read the new Neva Altaj yesterday and I loved it! It had some predictable moments but I still ate it up! I stayed up until 3 am so I could finish it. I love the whole series. I've also read the Serena Akeroyd series and I agree with you that's drawn out. I still have to read the last one Filthy truth but when I remember that it's 700 pages I say f this. And I haven't even read the mc series or the don duet... All the others that you mention I haven't read them.
I love all the books you mentioned! You are the reason I started reading Mafia, and now im an addict, although I have recently branched out into sports romance too, which I'm enjoying. I would love to see a new sports romance vid from you xx
Love this type of video!
Hello Jen and thank you for sharing
Thank you for your favourite mafia authors…this is one of my favourite tropes especially if it has touch her and die. I will certainly read a few of them as some are new to me. Love it if you do another mafia or touch her and die rec in the future 😊.
OMG!!! I must be a Mafia addict...I have read all but four books. Thanks, and I agree Jagger Cole is "the bomb"! Keep 'em coming, girl friend!
I thought you were going to leave Cora out!!!!!! And my 💔💔💔 I have no idea how many times I have read Twisted Pride
Lols! Nope! Two of her books are still my faves. 🥰🥰🥰
Twisted Pride is Literally the best❤❤❤ Cora is talented fr
Hey Jen one of my favorite mafia series is the bound series by Cora Riley❤❤
Totally relatable your relationship with Cora’s books. It’s all about the emotions we feel when we first read them and the impression they gave us.
For me it’s one of the first mafia series I read which was Eagle Elite by Rachel Van Dyken and I absolutely still love them (I’ve been wanting to do a reread and I should get to it soon 😊).
She started the series 10 years ago and the last book was out this year so it’s also a case of I’ve been along for the journey and it’s a special thing. It’s also a series where the first two books are about the same couple and book 1 is YA while book 2 is more NA and then book 3 and so on are Adult so there’s also that layer of ‘level up’ if you will.
This series is so ingrained in me that every time someone poses the question of ‘what’s your favorite mafia series?’ I always think of this one first because of my journey with it and the emotions it evoked in me at the time.
All of this to say I’m somewhat surprised by your order but also not really if that makes sense 😅.
Favorite books doesn’t automatically have to be by favorite authors but also favorite authors can also be a hit or miss or even the case of ‘ the author wrote something great and then nothing afterwards has been the same’.
I feel like we can branch out with this idea a bit and do for example “favorite small towns ever” or something. Basically any subgenre that you love. Or not. Do whatever, I’m here to watch 🙂
🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜
I guessed your top three and I was right also, I am very excited for contempt
Thanks Jen. I read Twisted Hearts and Sinful Hearts by Jagger Cole. I did enjoy them. He’s very good with writing action🌺❤️
Great information. Thanks
I just finished stolen by a sinner by michelle heard and i loved it sooooo much god it was so goooood
Jagger Cole's series on my TBR for November. I read the 1st one but need to get to the others. I loved the 1st. So underrated, more ppl should talk about him. I also will read Sam Mariano series end of Oct/early Nov. I would literally read a grocery list if she drops it lol
Love this video!!! I haven't read as many mafia books as you but I agree with you on the ones that I've read. They live rent free in my head/heart and I do go back and reread them for comfort especially if I'm in a slump. Have you done a video about book that are go tos when you hit a reading slump? You probably have. I was just curious. Peace. 😇😊🤗🎃🍁🍂❤️🌻⭐️
Awesome Video. I'm just getting into Mafia Romance Books. I love Mafia Movies. So, I am sure I will love these books. Thank you for such great selections. I am going to try a few. 😊
I hope you enjoy! There are so many great ones!
Jagger Cole I am spacing out because it seems to be all enemies to lovers and don't like to read that trope in a row. But I do enjoy his work. I love maggie cole. some of her recent books have been a hit or miss, but loved the mafia wars. I do adore those Neva Altaj books though, those are some of my faves. I am really struggling with that Sam Mariano books. I have the first three, but its kinda bananas but kinda scared for the later books lol The Morelli books are probably her hardest for me to read cause its wack like you said haha My favorite mafia books are the Shadow Riders by Christine Feehan though.
Im almost done with the all mafia books of Sophie Lark and Love them.. But I have to say. (and maybe they are my favorites because they got me back in to reading again AND where my first mafia) I LOVE Anna Zaires mafia books so much. the "Tormentor mine" books are my fave of all time but it all starter with "Twist me" ofcourse.. (found that book thanks to you!!)
I’m so early to this video !!
I read this series loved it
Thanks for your videos ❤️
I also like Penelope Sky, have you read any of her works?
Sam Mariano’s Mateo Morelli character reminds me so much of Nikki Sloane’s MacAlister Hale from Filthy Rich Americans. I agree with your faves from Cora Reilly, and I loved Sophie Lark’s The Bully and The Spy. Also Adelaide Forrest’s Bellandi series.
Hi. I'm rereading the Michelle St James' series Savage, Primal and Eternal. They are so well-written and the stories are great. I just wonder why Michelle doesn't show up on your list.
Totally agree with all of these and your rankings! Although, I haven’t read the Katee Robert or Serena Akeroyd mafia series yet so definitely putting those on my list! And I’m still making my way through some of the series. I’m stuck at Bound by Love as I’m not sure I can read Aria and Luca again… is it worth it? Can I skip or do I need to power through? Don’t get me wrong I love them but I hate going back to couples I thought were happy!
Haha! Aria pisses me off so much in that one. Haha! I honestly can't remember that one. It's been like 3 years, and it does have some set up for the Camorra series but I also think it can be skipped if it's holding you up. 🤷♀️ She usually retreds anything you'd have to know.
I totally agree with you on Serena Akeroyd's "Filthy" series. I loved Conor through all of the books and couldn't wait for his story, but it took forever to get there. Then I just felt like his story was "okay". And the last book "Filthy Truth" just felt like we were taken on a journey to revisit all of the other characters to catch up with what they were doing before the series came to an end. Which was fine, but it included all the characters from the MC series, and I didn't read those, so I didn't care.
Jagger Cole's Dark Hearts series has been great. I've got three more to go and I don't want them to end.
Can we do a video on audiobook recommendations??
Thanks for the recs! The Sam Mariano accidental witness - couldn't get through the first book and I love Sam Mariano - but that series - should come with a PTSD warning. Not for me and honestly it gave me nightmares. I love Untouchable, but the accidental witness books are just way too f@##$d up. Actually kind of developed an aversion to her books after that- ewww 🤮🤢. Which is sad because i really liked her other books. But with you on the Camorra books by Cora Reilly - OBSESSED with both books, wish her newer stuff was as good ya know?
I think im the only one to ever exist who didn't like Twisted emotions and twisted pride lol 😅 im sorry i really am, like everyone says they are peak and everything but when i actually read them I literally felt nothing... I guess i still gave them 4 stars though it was still a good read but not as earth shattering as every says.
Hello, I'm hoping that someone can help me remember a book title that Jenn recommended a while back. I believe it's a mafia romance, but I'm not sure. From what I remember of the plot, a boy and girl were promised in an arranged marriage, but then the boy was left for dead and the girl was given to another. The hero comes back and has to save her from the new abusive arrangement. That's all I remember. Hope someone has a better memory than me! Thanks 😊
Dreams of the Deadly by Adelaide Forrest! Such a good one!
@@TheBookRefuge That's it! Thanks so much, it was really bothering me that I couldn't remember 🤗
Girl where’s Sweet Temptation between those Cora Reilly books???
Lols! It's not in my top CR... 😅😍
Seina cross books are good
Adelaide Forrest’s books are some of my favourites and the fact that she is writing more fantasy makes me sad for her mafia fans
❤️🧜🏼♀️❤️
I 100% agree about Cora Reily. Twisted Emotions is my favorite Mafia romance, but the last 2 books were horrible.
I loved Mateo Morelli so much🖤🖤🖤
I am 100% agree with you about cora reilly's book.
I have read many mafia dark romance, but every time someone said mafia to me remo and nino falcone 's face came into my mind.
Dont know why but knowing or unknowingly i judge other male characters from other mafia series to them.
Just like I judge every contemporary hero to Grip from the Grip trilogy and Jamie Frazier for historical.
I know it's partial or hypocritical for the significant author and their heroes. Don't take me wrong that I don't like those heroes but for a second they came to my mind.
I agree with this so hard. That's where my book husband/boyfriend list came from. Who was I always comparing others too. Haha!
Why do you have to remind me of THAT SPECIFIC LINE ABOUT HER WALKING DOWN THE ISLE, Jen??😂😂❤❤❤🙈🫡🤭🤗🙊🤣🤣
Love love the series, yeah I too have to finsh the series...but had to step back, coz it became too much to consume mentally & yeah felt like dragging out.
