That first pompano looked like it’d feed my entire family. Love seeing the fish still biting in the winter. Great video, Justin!
It was massive in the pan! Thanks Scott.
Hi Justin. I enjoy watching those two sessions. Fantastic Pompano and Drum. Thanks for sharing. MP
Thanks MP!
🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾 nice slabs
Thanks!
Very cool to see fish out there. I been thinking that there is no fish. So I’ll do some shelling while waiting. Especially with the rebuild going on. Focus in on some closer fishing as well. Low tide go long. Handy High tide (come in closer). Thanks again for the vid. 🤙🏽
Lot of slow days in between but it's still worth it to fish in my opinion. Tight lines!
بسم الله ما شاء الله ❤ الله ينور عليك ويوسع رزقك يا رب العالمين ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great Day fishing Justin, nice fish!
Thanks Stephen!
Awesome fishing video! Those Pompano very nice. I notice that you seem to always put the Black Drum back, are they not edible or not desirable for consumption? Thanks for the video and for sharing your thoughts, ideas and experiences with us.
They're good eating but most of them are full of worms. I personally rather just put them back.
Y’all are lucky on the panhandle. I live in northeast tip of Florida and we don’t get pompanos during the winter. Just whiting mainly
Great video Justin, That was a nice Slab 😮🎣🐟 of a pompano, I haven't been out this month yet 😢 I have been busy getting my gear ready for the 2025, new line, tieing new Rigs ECT,,, waiting to get my first pomp of the year, and then here comes the historical snow ❄️🌨️❄️☃️ storm of the century, it came 😮😢😅 and went,, now it's warming up, which is a good thing, ? Was your fish caught before or after the snow storm, am thinking 🤔 about this weekend , the weather is supposed to be in the 70s, , I am so ready,, am Looking forward to catching a historical pompano this year , breaking my record of 4.10 of last year,,,🎣🐟🐟🐟,,, Stay Safe God Bless,,,
These Pompano were before the snow but I've been seeing reports of some caught last couple days. Hope you get out there and catch a monster! Tight lines Joseph
bro we in trinidad only get baby pomp and a lot of hardtails
Cool vid, how do you like those waders? How tall are you? i heard if youre on the taller side they start fitting funky.
I like them. I'm on the shorter end at 5'8 so not uncomfortable at all for me.
I'm in Mobile but have FL license, long drive. About where were you, P'Cola, Navarre? Would like to see you put the date you actually fished on your videos.
1st day was January 4th and second day was January 18th. Both of which were in Pensacola. Tight lines!
I have a question about Fred since I’ve seen him in other videos. Is there just one Fred that gets around or are all fish stealing herons called Fred?
They're all Fred to me.
Do you not keep the bigger black drum due to size? Would you keep a smaller one?
They're good eating but most of them are full of worms. I rather just put them back personally.
I was fishing Mexico Beach a few years back. Stepped on a Hardhead someone had buried in the sand. Went into my heal. All the way to the bone. I'm hopping around on one foot. 3lb half rotten catfish firmly to the other. I avoided the ER luckily. Kept the hole open and flushed out with Peroxide.
Talk about ruining your day!
Please! Whatever you do y'all. Throw em back. Or dispose if them in a crab trap or something.
Don't bury em in the sand!!
Ouch! I make sure mine get back in the water for that reason. I've seen so many carcasses in the sand over the years and always dispose of them.
Fred need a pole
He's claiming his "surf" lol
🤣
