Thanks a lot for sharing! Not only is the craftsmanship astonishing, but the design itself is beautifully chosen. The copper inlays are just wow! You have such a good sense for elegance. I guess that axe is meant for a king or president :-)
Was watching on another device but needed to comment on this. It is amazing work that simply took my breath away with the level of effort and detail you put into this piece. I cannot express how invested I was in it. Please keep making things like this, it is true craftsmanship that we all hope to one day achieve
You r complete master artwork I never seen a master can do design and wood carving and engraving and leather craft and painting.......... really you amazing master 💯🙏
So amazing. You amazing work. I metal detect and find axe heads and I have one soaking in vinegar but when its done I'd like to turn it into something similar. I found it at a place where the original owners land was a donation land claim so it would be themed on that.
Looking back how I started learning to engrave - now I would definitely recommend taking 2, 3 classes from master engravers. By taking a class from a professional - will save you lots of time and money spent buying wrong items. There great classes in Texas and I took classes at GRS.
Another beautiful piece of work right there! I would expect nothing less than legendary from you. How do you not have more subscribers? Your work speaks for itself, the cinematography is excellent, you put out videos on the regular, and I know I have shared your videos with multiple people. It's a head scratcher. Those old fireman's axes are difficult to come by. Been trying to find one to customize for my friend who is a firefighter. The new ones are trash, and mostly made with aluminum handles. The older ones are just harder to find. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy your videos (especially when there are bears in them).
Not sure if it's possible to describe in writing, but will try. First I cut with 120 degree engraver. Once I have a rough channel line, then I use tiny flat graver and cut out the bottom. Then I use onglette graver and do undercuts on both left and right sides - and that's the channel.
To put things in perspective, using a 120 degree graver to do scrolls, the depths is between 0.1mm-0.25mm. On this axe the deep engraved pockets were between 1.0mm-2.25mm. Please explain your second question further, what do you mean by 'hooks'?
Cut out a channel. Do the under cut around the perimeter of the channel. Using 120 or 116 graver make burrs in the channel in different directions. Finally pound in the inlay.
what kind of gravel do you use to dig the trenches for the inlays? what way do you dig to be able to also use wire? or specifically for cutting techniques according to patterns like in the video
That a beautiful work!
Both engraving, wood woring and leather woring as well.
I learned a lot from this video.
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous work. 🇨🇦
Thanks so much!
An absolutely beautiful piece, patience, skill and hard work.
Thank you so much. Yes, patience is a big factor in these kind of projects.

Impressive. I tried hammer and chisel engraving on copper today....even if I was no beginner, it would be hard I assume.
Yeh, engraving on copper can be little bit tricky. Inlaying copper also little bit challenging. But it’s doable.
@@ASkobiDesigns Kinda feels like lathing, where you need a different tool for different metals.
Oh absolutely, and not just one! I have about 20 different gravers and it’s going up!
@@ASkobiDesigns Ever heard of Uri Tuchman? He is going through brass like its frozen friggin butter!!
Oh yes, I watch him - he is a funny guy, but very creative.
True craftsmanship! Superb work
Thank you so much!
Amazing work, probably the best carving I've seen so far. I've never seen that technique in 2:05 and forward when you added the copper
Thank you very much!
Yes, needed to create lots of burrs so the copper inlay is securely intact.
excelnet work congratulation!
Thanks a lot!
That is one of the coolest things i have ever seen.
Thank you so much!
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing ‼️👍👍
Thanks for watching.
Very beautiful work. Like 👍
Thank you.
Amazing video. 10/10 keep up the great work

I love art and making things by hands.
Amazing craftmanship! You, sir, are true artist! I have never seen anything like it! Thank you for the video!
Thank you for kind recognition. There’s so much more to grow!

@@ASkobiDesigns do you have any recommendations on learning to engrave?

Beautiful job
Thank you! 😊
Molto impegnativo, bravo.
Thank you! This was a new level for sure.

To cut the outline that will be inlayed, so how many degrees do you use? or with ongelet?

May I ask how deep the pocket is, and what blade do you use to make the hooks?

@@ASkobiDesigns How do you make the copper stick to the steel, I tried to do the same but the copper doesn't stick!
I do the outline with 120 and then flat graver to cut the channel out.
"Getting a hand from a young one" sus. 5:04
if you do the cut method according to the pattern. do you also do an under cut around the area to be inlayed?
Always
@@ASkobiDesigns I'm still trying to inlay with copper wire with wide media but it always fails, maybe the copper is a little hard.
Try annealing the copper. There are many videos on youtube as to how to anneal the copper.
Работа бомба.

Thank you so much! I don't have a facebook account for this work that I do.
