- Sanibel is a city on Sanibel Island in southwest Florida. It’s known for beaches filled with shells that wash ashore from the Gulf of Mexico. Lighthouse Beach has a fishing pier, the towering, 19th-century Sanibel Lighthouse and a boardwalk winding through marshes. The Causeway Beaches are a water-sports hub and have picnic facilities. J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge covers about half of the island.

Two things struck me while watching this. First, was how small and insignificant we are when the elements chose to remind us of their might and power. Second was seeing people back on the beach enjoying the day. Life truly goes on even after tragic events. Well done video and editing as always.
Exactly!!! Thanks Bob 👍👍👍
Back in the late 1970's my dad would park his ice cream truck there.he was only 1 of 2 people on all of Lee county with an ice cream truck back then.he was so unique that Lee county did not have any laws on the books pertaining to food vending trucks😊
Wow the last time I was out there Blind Pass was a bridge over sand. Glad to see it's open again! Can't believe how dirty the sand looks. It used to be blinding white like snow. Guessing it's all the Lake Okechobee water releases.
Very depressing to see Castaways and Lazy Flamingo wiped from the face of the planet. We had stayed there just a week before Ian hit. But it's good to see things getting back to normal.
So many memories here as a small child, we relocated to zephyr hills for our vacation house, haven’t been to zephyr hills, curious to see it
I miss laughing Cow.
Weird to see barely a car on the road.
At least the Pass wont be closing up anytime soon, major Snookage !
Worked at the lazy flamingo in 1989 not long after first opened fo 2 yrs....sad to see....was a great time living there...
Sad!
