- Hundreds of Kenyan police officers arrived in Haiti this week at the start of a UN-backed security mission. The Kenyans touched down in Port-au-Prince just as their own country faced its worst unrest in decades. Their mission in Haiti is to try to curb the gang violence that has overrun the country.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Kenya police in a peacekeeping mission is an oxymoron. Peace and Kenya police can't be in one sentence
Least someone is trying to help. Don't get me wrong they need to get their own country in order but still
You neglect to realize that they too are mere individual citizens who are under orders by their government. Just like everywhere else. These politicians use our men, women, and children like toy soldiers. Elevate your IQ 💯
Tell me about it they can’t even keep peace in their country but they wanna keep it in ours.

Its a sad situation, Haiti is a beautiful country with lots of potential.
Yes, that's what the Clinton's reportedly plan: exploit the place to the maximum possible extent, as brokers of all extra national land deals.
What potential
What’s beautiful in Haiti? Look in Google Earth you can see the DR green and the Haiti part looks like Arakis in Dune , no grass or trees at all. Lol
@@tomhenry897 Haiti boasts the second longest Caribbean coastline after Cuba. and its basically almost untouched! stretching for approximately 1,771 kilometers (1,100 miles). Our coastline features a diverse array of landscapes, from pristine sandy beaches and rocky shores to picturesque bays and coves. The lengthy coastline offers numerous opportunities for tourism, fishing, and maritime activities. Additionally, Haiti's strategic position in the Caribbean makes its coastline a significant asset for trade and transportation. Haiti's potential also lies in its rich cultural heritage, vibrant art scene, talented musicians, fertile agricultural land, stunning beaches, unique biodiversity, historical significance, energetic youth, entrepreneurial spirit, untapped natural resources, potential for renewable energy, strategic location in the Caribbean, robust diaspora, and resilient community.
huh, I'm pretty sure thats not how it works. Google Earth also shows New Mexico, Dubai, San Antonio with very brown shades so your point might be a little misaligned here.

Kenya sending police to Haiti is not solely about money. It is about gaining influence and political favor from Washington. So now, Ruto can crack down on protests in Kenya and Washington wont do anything
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haiti is on fire and nobody is doing anything to help. I understand the skepticism, this isn't a perfect solution but it's easy to criticize while doing nothing. I hope the Kenyan's and all the troops that are tasked with this mission are able to help start a new beginning for Haiti.
So nobody blaming france? Not even the UN, US, etc? Come on......😢🚶♂️
Ruto need to get his house in good order first before cleaning someone's house. How can he send kenya 🇰🇪 police to restore peace in Haiti, when he can not keep and restore peace in his own country. This is hypocracy of the highest order

I’m Kenyan but I support haiti
I was young and now i am old, yet I have never seen where law and order had been restored with more force or peacekeeping missions. Not in Afghanistan, south sudan, congo, yemen, libya, syria, somalia or any other nation on earth... I hope to be optimistic but going by history ,it going to end up as a failed mission... Time to NEGOTIATE and empower your citizens.... Only Hiatians can solve Haiti's problems.....
Blind leading the blind.
Kenya stood up and stood apart from all these so called world dominating countries
May be no.
People say that if you find water rising up to your ankle, that’s the time to do something about it, not when it’s around your neck.
I love my country but hate my government. In this case, I hope and pray that Kenya succeeds in this mission.
When asked about the UN attempts at restoring order in Haiti from 2004-2017, all this jounalist spoke of was that there were some human rights violations perpetrated by the peace keepers. What type of violations ? Can any be individually documented ? 10,000 killed. By who ? The peace keepers had responsibilty for killings ? These are not answers and the interviewer should have followed up.
This is going to be bad…like really bad
RIP in Advance, much love from 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Ohh Haiti
Kenya is not in problems it's just freedom to say what you want to talk with your own gervor
The Kenyan police have begun a UN-backed security mission in Haiti to help curb the country's severe gang violence and restore order. Hundreds of Kenyan officers arrived in Port-au-Prince this week, with more police from 15 other nations expected to join them for a total force of 2,500.
The mission's mandate is to provide operational support to the Haitian National Police (PNH) by conducting joint security operations against gangs, securing key infrastructure, and ensuring safe access for humanitarian aid. However, the mission's exact rules of engagement and concept of operations have not been made public, raising concerns about transparency.
While some Haitians welcome the foreign intervention, many are wary given Haiti's troubled history with past UN missions. The success of the Kenyan-led mission will depend on how it relates to the Haitian government and civil society, as well as its communication strategy.
Ultimately, whether the Kenyan police can effectively end Haiti's crises remains to be seen. The mission faces significant challenges, including the entrenched power of Haiti's gangs and the country's complex political and humanitarian situation
2:35 Insane, absolutely insane. translating English to English.
Kenya Go, Our Brothers In Haiti Want This Peace Badly
There is no plan of what they are supposed to do there besides supporting national police force and military.... doesn't really sound promising.
They are 100percent capable

Now Kenya will be considered the de facto caretaker of Haiti for the foreseeable future. It’s a job the world is happy to delegate to Kenya. Just be aware, Trump may cut funding this mission once he’s elected!

Now kenya needs a foreign police force to keep the peace in kenya, we need Jamaican police to come to kenya
What a mistake, a heavy handed police force with little respect among its own people even before the protests last week. I can only imagine how worse this will get in Haiti after they start through Int their weigh around.
Despite the current situation in Kenya, am praying for this brothes of ours, knowing how our police forces work, .,

This a complex and complicated mission, the Kenyan police will have to fight far and far away from home, this is very dangerous and it has to be handled very carefully. If Kenyan police engaged their brutality their like they do here in Kenya something will happen and Nairobi will regret it
Now, the people have to participate, to collaborate because they are the first victims.
There's a crisis in Kenya happening now right ?
This is nonsense, haiti People are fighting for their rights as kenya is fighting for their finance bill, Kenya's leave haiti alone, every body has their way of dealing with their problems.
Kenya cant solve Haitian problems.
