He just wanted to make music to escape the hellrides... and he made so many people happy in the process. I recommend everybody watch his doco "The daddy of rock and roll"..
It was insane, he played at the top of the stairs outside and the lawn was PACKED with at least 500-1000 people, at some point I'll try to post a clip or two from the show.
This was on my birthday! Good thing I wasn't invited. J/K. RIP Wesley! Somewhere out there is the video of you playing at purchase college! (It was stolen in Canada, so hopefully someone will post it one day!)

The best Beatles cover of all-time, IMO!
Makes me smile everytime. Wesley was truly one of a kind. RIP, buddy. 💙

Greatest thing ever.
This is 17 steps above awesome.
Awesome!
I would say both observations are correct, obviously he had issues and shortcomings to overcome but he was a great guy and fucking rocked.
WHY DID HE DIE?! I only found out about him a few months ago :(
He toured the east coast quite a few times before his death but the UVA show may have been the only time he played the Charlottesville area.
Indeed.
He never got to do a duet with Tony Bennett.
Punk rock star.
@joshkpoole I would give it 5 stars also. WW is a favorite.
