      You are correct. In fact, many of his guests were too good to be on this show. All you need to do is watch movie star or rock star interviews, guys like Dave Grohl, and compare those to interviews, to an interview like this, where he basically tries to humiliate Wesley Willis. As much as I loved Howard Stern in my younger days, as an adult, I realized how truly evil this man really is. Stern exploited all of his guests, especially those who had mental health concerns. Still, Stern credits himself with being the only reason that people like Beetlejuice and Hank to made money. But it's funny because he also resented it when these same people went out on comedy tours and secured film roles outside of the Stern show. And as much as Stern denies forcing women to do anything on his show, the truth is that if these women didn't perform sexual acts for him, especially anything lesbian, they would not be allowed to be on the show at all. Howard Stern is nothing more than evil personified and this incredibly uncomfortable interview of Wesley Willis is proof of that. I have no idea how the MeToo movement did not swallow up what is basically a Harvey Weinstein protege!

    wesley was such a tortured soul. i find it frankly beautiful that somebody with his background did not end up in jail but instead endured all that life threw at him - more than you or i could handle and became an artist. he knew he was being funny at times and was more aware than i think people gave him credit for. it's like he just kept everything that happened to him inside, he ate their karma and kept it within him as best as he could.. to protect us.

      Howard stern is a real piece of shit, had his show been around now it wouldn't have seen much success, considering he exploited people with disabilities to get to where he is, and I have my suspicions that he's probably pretty racist too based on his past interviews

    • @RumbleFish69
      @RumbleFish69 Рік тому

      @@manifestgtr And you strike me like the type of person who is just a little crass and thoughtless. Sorry, friend, but the size of people who were sucking on Howard Stern's teat has reduced significantly in size....However, it would appear that you are one of the few who did not get that memo.
      Well, here it is in a nutshell... People like you, people who support and defend this man today, never understood that Howard Stern was nothing more than a piece of trash who exploited people for money and personal gain. So, while you were all laughing at the hi-jinx and antics of acts such as Beetlejuice or Hank, the so-called "Angry Dwarf", Stern was making millions from them, and giving them little to nothing in return.
      However, the reason you continue to do, the one thing that many others have already woken up from, is because you are all simply horrible people yourselves. You continue to support Stern's bullshit, because in the end, you're just like him. You're like one of those people who only date other people who bear a striking resemblance to yourself! Which is to say, that you only find beauty and attraction in yourselves, and those like you!
      Now, I'm gonna give it to you in a manner that might be easier to comprehend, friend..... Howard Stern is, and has always been, nothing more than a circus ringmaster... A man who just brought in people who he knew others would pay top-dollar to see. People who would be considered freaks and geeks to others. And like a circus ringmaster, when it is all said and done, Stern went into his trailer and counted the money that he made at the expense of others; just as he did here with Wesley Willis. And like the ringmaster, he lived in the posh front trailer, while the acts slept in the back with trash, crap and the smell of livestock from one town, to the next town, to the next town.
      There was a time when I was also a Stern lacky myself, but then I grew up and I understood the true nature of not only Stern, but of Robin Quivers too. Because, in some ways, Robin has always been worse than Stern... Because, as we all know, the only person who is worse is than the devil himself, is the person who serves their devil faithfully and without question.
      By the way, your comment here, to this person, it only reveals who you really are in the end, my friend. You should work on that. By the way, and although I didn't use it here, but using the term "inappropriate" is completely appropriate. That's it....That's all I got. Take care, sir.

    Howard has OCD and deals with it by meditating. You think he'd be more respectful understanding how tough intrusive thoughts can be. Instead he's insulting Wesley. At the end of the interview he says "Say hi to your demon for me." How could he say something so disrespectful to someone who's delt with so much?

    • @sloshed-rat
      @sloshed-rat 2 роки тому +1

      Because Howard on the radio is a character. A demonic entity himself. He embedded it everyday, to be as cruel, shallow and hubristic as possible for the sake of viewership.
      The sad and unfortunate reality is this though: Howard had the ability to leave his demons in that studio when he hung up his earphones every day... Wesley did not. Wesley carried that energy with him... everywhere. There was no catharsis for Mr. Willis, and Howard (the character), relished gleefully with Wesley's fear and resentment.
      It was a different time. Empathy was seen as weakness. Thank goodness that now-a-days we as a species know better... and we all realize how awful this form of exploitation was.

      Unfortunately a lot of stigma and prejudice is still held against those individuals (like Wesley) living with severe forms of mental illness, whether it be bipolar, scizhophrenia, PTSD, DID, personality disorders, etc. People still have a very warped thinking of what schizophrenia is(they think its people hearing voices, speaking to invisible people, and being homicidal maniacs). The truth is, schizophrenics are more like to face harm from others than perpetuate harm(not saying to excuse crimes committed by schizophrenics because those still happen). Wesley did not and never should have been so disrespected and exploited like that. But you know, it is an unfortunate part of the times back then, I know Howard Stern is still problematic asf, but I highly doubt that in 2024 he would even be allowed to have a platform, because this definitely would not fly today, ableism is never ok.

    I hate the way they infantilized Wesley in this interview, like I know he has his representative with him, but God, let the man speak for himself, he might have had mental illness, but he was still an adult.

    a bit like my friend who developed schizofrenia in his youth, the way he seems a bit numb, my friend was actually really smart and a warrior-spirit, good at game, fighting what ever, a bit sad. maybe the mediaction has its part, i think the same a bit wesley, seems a bit slow, but if he wasnt sick, hed appear very smart and articulate

      @@evanabbott2737 Yeah I'm confused by these comments. Howard isn't even being remotely rude. However, the eyeroll at 6:54 by the record company guy when Howard suggested they get Wesley a therapist was off-putting...

      He keeps calling Wesley homeless, which clearly gets on his nerves. And he’s also sarcastic when Wesley talks about his income.
