- His Holiness Orthodox Metropolitan of Belgrade Patriarch of the Serbian and Coastal Lands Irenaeus comments the schism, accusing Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople for siding with the powers of this world, and that the Belgrade Patriarchate will take sides according to the canonical order of the Church.
I was told by a Anglican Bishop many years ago that The Orthodox Church literally holds the keys to The Kingdom Of Heaven and shares them with no one unless they request union and conversion to Orthodoxy.
God, please establish unity within the Orthodox Church.
Please destroy the false prophets and the rulers of the darkness of this world. Amen. ☦️
Unfortunately the same thing is happening in Montenegro where politicians are trying to divide Serbian orthodox church and create their own.

Power corrupts in the church as well as elsewhere.
So how is one to view the validity of sacraments in a schismatic church (I.e the Greek Orthodox under Constantinople)? Asking out of genuine curiosity as someone who attends an Antiochian parish.

Cannon regarding the appropriateness of the actions of Bartholomew in granting Autocephaly and the cannon regarding the failure of Kirill to justly and correctly serve the Orthodox in the Ukraine who are not Russians who made their home there during a time of occupation by a totalitarian regime and Kirill’s actions, some might say, participation in the military aggression against the sovereignty of a neighboring Country with its own language culture and borders that have always been distinct and separate from Russia and that began before Russia and Moscow ever existed. The Roman Catholic must desire and return to orthodox Christian practice without 'cleric imperialism'
I hope not to offend anyone here, but man alone cannot achieve this but only by God's Holy grace.
The chastisement of this modern age is purging/cleansing the church(es) to enable them to enter into union as a fraternal embrace. It can't be 'solved' as in a negotiation between labor and management.

How about getting to work on healing the 30,000 schisms and heresies your reformation has created. You haven't made a serious attempt to heal the damage you caused since the Wars of Religion.
