University hasn't been nice to me, so I apologize for the short video. I'm currently working on a longer one, but it seems that it will take longer than expected to upload. Therefore, I've decided to release this one first. I do hope the video was enjoyable nonetheless!
It's mostly because animation has more clarity and purity of feeling and the ability to exaggerate most things invoking more emotions if used properly. Not that they will, there are plenty of liveaction movies that beat plenty of animation but I believe that animation has more ability to and anime reallllly has nailed it over the past 3 decades. If I see a anime about hot guys swimming , it gives waaaaaaaay more feeling than any live action film could ever give without being too much or weird or silly.
I agree with your points regarding the animation and how we need more hot dude swimming animes, especially the hot dudes. I am straight but even I sometimes need a change in scenery 😏
A lot of anime are aimed towards otaku, who are generally considered outcasts. They touch on topics that are outside the norm that you'd never find in most mainstream movies and media, especially western ones. I think that's why it hits different for a lot of people
Absolutely not. The top grossing movie worldwide in 2020 is Demon Slayer. The highest grossing movies in japan are all anime. Dmeon slayer is the highest grossing movie in japan still. If it was just ‘otakus’ they wouldn’t have so much success. Unless you mean 90% of japanese are otakus than go for it. Its not a coincidence that japan is the homeland of Pokemon, Mario, Nintendo, PlayStation and Anime. They LOVE this form of medium, aka Anime or Cartoons. Gaming and Anime are forever indeptedt to Japanese lest we would’ve be stuck with the crap west produces be either animation shows, games or whatever
Anime characters usually brings strong morals and most anime are filled with lessons that apply in real life, in fact those lessons are usually the hard truths that you don't hear or see much in movies. Also, usually in movies, the villains are just villains for not much of a reason, but in anime, most villains have a reason why they chose their path, in other words, anime has a lot of anti-heroes instead of villains and they're likable for that. Anime has a lot of logic behind their characters compare to movies overall.
I definitely feel similar in regards to live action media. If an actor appears in too many roles, I cannot separate the roles in my head and just constantly think of what they've done in those other roles. So much so that it breaks my immersion and do not watching media if I've seen an actor too much.
One manga I read was 3 Days of Happiness, and it was really good. Also great video, I somewhat agree but I think both mediums are good, it's just that some movies seem to be very corporate while anime/manga is more personal. It says its the heart of a story that makes a difference.
Glad you enjoyed the vid! i very much agree with how recently movies feel more corporate. Anime is actually also guilty of this with how much copy/paste isekai anime being released. Thanks for the recommendation btw, will check it out!
hey man great video super suprised to see you have less than 150 subs, a manga i can highly reccomend and one id love to see you talk about and hear your thoughts on would be death note (assuming you havent already read it).
I couldn't really figure out why anime hit so different from any other media I've seen out there... but after watching this video... I'm starting to put the puzzle pieces together. I watch anime late at night, so it's quite literally just me in bed and the anime I'm watching so it just feels even more immersive. _I swear I blink and I'm like at halfway through the series and the time is 5 am lmao._
Nicely said, immersion. Personally, I think getting to know the actor outside the movie aka their personal life, puts me off the "immersion." I tend to get attached to characters that have somewhat of an impact on me, probably the whole reason why I'm even making videos on anime 🙂
I don't know there are good films and good anime. Good writing makes me immersed, not the fact that different actors act in different films. Also anime voice actors have so many different roles
Definitely fair. I'm just parasocial so I tend to get too attached to characters that somewhat left an impression. Voice actors play a major role in that as well, I do not want to downplay that. This video is just speaking visually for myself. Thanks for the comment man
@@NotFillip You should definitely check out more diverse and artful animations out there other than anime, don't be intimidated. I think you'll reassess your opinion, cause honestly most anime are bound by being an "anime", almost like its a whole genre in and of itself with its own subgenres. You might not like some of them since you're more used to anime but you'll see how the odd one out here really is anime (most anime, really).
@@canti7951 I will definitely diversify myself. I actually will do just that this upcomer summer holiday. Thanks for the heads up, I will be looking forward to the new experience.

Well anime is yearned for a reason, it's a media that shows visualization of what is supposed to be impossible in reality. I agree with ya.

To me anime is just visually hypnotizing

This. Yes, finally who understands me. Especially if their lives outside of acting are controversial, it really puts you off.

I recommend Bibliomania, I hope you like it
I will definitely check it out, thankyou!
It's because of animes jiggle physics
I recommend Real by takehiko inoue (creator of vagabond and slam dunk) if you haven’t already read it
I actually haven't, will put that on one of my lists. Thanks for the recommendation!
the best story in my opinion even though it is short and clear❤❤❤
yooo what do you use to edit these vids they're fire
