Yeah not many out there, I'll see about getting another one of just that apparatus and place the camera a little further away so it's not so distorted.
I know it's been a while but wanted to update, I've since moved on to a different department in the interior and some of our trucks have the Hadley E Tone and boy let me tell you, these things rock. They are my new favorite Fire Truck air horn! I'll get a video at some point with details on the length to showcase it
@@23027 i sadly do not I have always wanted to be in the fire service I am currently trying to figure out how to start. My dream would be for North Van City FIre Rescue
Just scored a Hadley e tone for free. Was in a junk pile. Pulled off the back cap, cleaned out the wasp nest, diaphragm looked fine. Gotta set it off with some air.
Haha yeah, those are the ones we try to hide... Back some time ago there was a Fire Chief who decided the colour was "easier to see and safer" so he made the trucks purchased have that colour. Not a very smart choice, it just confused people who were looking for a red fire truck.... Those trucks are almost completely removed from service now, the only remaining ones are spare reserve units and for the POC's.
Thank you for making a detailed and demonstrative video for each of the different kinds of specifically fire truck horns
0:42 Wolf Chief 846
1:15 Hadley E-Tone
1:56 Grover Stuttertone
Stutter tone is great when matched with 3 of its identical brothers
The more the merrier ;)
About damn time Hadley E-Tone airhorns are shown. They are great airhorns!

23027 if you could like get a response video of that apparatus one day?
Not much out there that's for sure!
@@centralgafirefighter4760 it'll have to be the right circumstances I to make it happen but I'm always keeping my eyes peeled!

What length is it? They produce different sound depending on their length! They have become my favorite brand!
@@23027 24 inch
Thank you for the great side by side demo.
Love those horns on Q9! I’ll have to come by the hall and catch her in action with horn!
Grover stutter takes the cake.
Erik Anderson nothing like a stutter but that e tone is killer. Look up videos of them. Such a sharp sounding air horn
Erik Anderson mmmm cake
@@redrhino1911 I would always choose the Grover but the E-Tone actually sounds really great too!
Without a doubt my favorite
Yea but for 1/3 the price you can get the wolo and it sounds very very close to the Grover’s!
Rip ear and headphones
Wolo was the best imo, might get a couple.
Do it!!
Hey both wolo and grover are the same quality?
That one was great
Thanks!! :)
that thing is awesome lol wish the were a bit smaller to mount in a regular car
Yeah it can be challenging to hide on a smaller vehicle! Need to be handy to make brackets
It can be done! I had air horns on my bmw E46. I had no issues.

the best one!
Great stuff!
Too cool
THANKS FOR THE NAMES!!!
How many psi on the wolo 846?
Ran about 90psi!
23027 I just got one and I feel like it sounds deeper at lower psi, yet again I tested it in a garage but yours sound good outside at 90 psi
@@stevemelidis6072 Hmm, wonder if it could be because I used high flow fittings on mine instead of traditional!
My favourite is at 1:15
Surrey Fire haha. You guys got the yellow trucks.

Awesome.
Does the Wolo Chief 846 have an ordinary diaphragm vibrating againsthe nozzle? Or is the nozzle different which produces the more raspy tone?
It's the same design as other brands. The different sounds are made using different lengths, diameters, and diaphragm shape/size
Do you remember how many psi that tank was set at?
Looks like a 150 max
alguien sabe donde la puedo comprar

No one mentioned the purely gorgeous firefighter . . .
Lol thanks!
Reminds of red the firetruck
They sound like trombones! So hawt!
Very similat sound each other
I wish I had a better recording device It would be easier to hear the differences!
@@23027 Record now again XD !
sounds like the truck from jeepers creepers
