Some editions of "The Martian" by Andy Weir include a short story taking place after Watney's return to Earth talking about his difficulties readjusting to life on the blue marble, to include a lot of the stuff you talked about, plus agoraphobia (Watney isn't used to being safe outside of confined spaces since he had to stay inside his habitat or his rovers), being a serious cancer risk (yay all that radiation), and an enduring hatred of potatoes and potato-based products (he farmed a lot of potatoes to help stretch his rations to survive).

The 20 minute delay is only when mars is at its furthest from Earth, usually its more like 5-10 minutes. There is water on the surface of Mars, but only at the poles. The radiation isn't as extreme as depicted, you could survive years on the surface of mars without issues, depending on where you set up your base. The gravity also isn't a very big problem, it's 40% of Earths, so with some basic exercise muscle decay would be minimal. You also wouldn't need solar panels as well as a nuclear reactor, a single reactor could power a mars base for years. Anyway, I get that it's exaggerated for comedic effect. The animation is great.

Nobody said it would be easy, but if an asteroid / cme / huge rad source hits earth, it might be nice to have some sort of backup. Its never gonna look like earth in our lifetimes but getting started sooner is better. Besides SpaceX/NASA know the problems and are working on solutions, namely build in underground caverns and take more then 1 person. Watch MARS for a good idea of what we gotta do.
This should have more views. I hope you have a patreon that leaves you rolling in cash. And even if a few videos dont't do as well as you'd hope, down the line you are bound to have successes that will more than make up for it.
A cute calamity that little guy! :D Surface buildings would suffer huge temperature/pressure fluctuations on Mars each day, too much energy would be needed to compensate. When you combine that with the radiation factor, there is really little point in landing on a flat plain and doing earthworks, the perfect Mars base is a cave or rock formation that is already roughly the right shape to shelter your inflatable hab.... That way spacecraft can also land nearby without being a huge danger, because the rock shelters the base from harm. Glass domes are impractical. But a greenhouse to grow plants would best be done with reflectors redirecting sunlight into rock/regolith sheltered structures, rather than using resource hungry artificial lighting. It would be very interesting to see how plants respond to 40% gravity! :)
you forgot to mention that you also have to make the cobblestone generator and make a pickaxe to mine stuff on mars what if this video became useful one day, i wonder?
