Yes-I! The chemistry you two maestros have between instruments, ancestry ,culture, musical tradition, modern interpretation and just sheer mutual, down to earth respect for each other, in my opinion makes this collaboration one of the best across the full spectrum of “world music”. See you on the road.
Wonderful! Bach and traditional Mandigue music touch us so deeply in their profound beauty - and the connection here is so well done! Kudos to both musicians!
I hope to get to it, if not too late to book (or somewhere nearer me as I'm now 100 miles from Swansea); I saw Seckou Keita at Builth Wells, with Gwyneth Glyn, who is again the support act- both extremely nice people, a delightful intimate concert that was, and of course Seckou and Catrin are a wonderful combination. Gwyneth has been one of the two lead singers, along with Tauseef Akhtar, in the superb Indian-Welsh group Ghazalaw, well worth checking out.
Why are all the closeup camera shots of fingerwork at the beginning only on Catrin? It gives impression that Seckou has not yet started playing. and then when he starts the camera is still disproportionately on her. Not quite equal spotlight!!
A master piece of Sahel - Europe friendship. Fraternal blend of cultures giving this marvelous musical moment.
Thank you

What a beautiful collaboration! I love how it started off classical and flawlessly went into traditional. Great and upbeat sound, congratulations.

Que c'est beau, quelle association réussie !
Simply lovely......
Remarkable artistry; love the duelling coda, it’s like the jubilation penned in The Book of Psalms, but set to the chiming euphoria of exulting bells.
It's great!
Too gorgeous for words, looking forward to watching you perform at Union Chapel in May, diolch. x

For the first two minutes, she has the melody. But after that, yes, it could be more equal!
Albert Schweitzer serait heureux de cette rencontre pour interpréter du Bach
