This question is actually much harder than I thought, I can't really tell 🤔 maybe I will realise something later 🤔 Ooh I just realised... flying in the plane ✈️ but I'm not entirely sure I would love to 😁 maybe a really short flight 😁
Hi Molly. I think you should definitely do a gaming video. Either play the last of us part to. If not that you could maybe showcase some of the games that the blind have. Like crazy party, swamp, survive the wild, there are so many out there. Just go to audio game. Net and Peru’s the options. A heroes call is really good. And so is manamon, But I feel like you have to love Pokémon to like manamon. The storyline is great. But it would be really awesome to show people that blind people still love and still play video games.
I am 26 and I reread my books for "children" often. Authors write for their stories to be enjoyed, it doesn't matter what age you are that you enjoy them at.
I was reading a book for 8-12 year olds with my 8 year old sister where we took turns reading aloud. I’m 26. You are right. There really is no age limit for children’s books. Sometimes I’d tell her I wanted to keep reading while she wanted to take a break.
Ive reread percy jackson/rick riordan universe senior year of high school and also junior year of college. I intend to read that and gregor the overlander and the pendragon series again. Its so fun and nostalgic
hard agree!! I'm keeping all my childhood book and I read them from time to time. I've read them so regularly that some are in the hard drive part of my memory in full lol
Molly, I'm 22 and a huge Potterhead. I did read them when I was in sixth grade, but to this day I hold the Potter world close to my heart. The Potter community is so amazing too. When Helen McCrory passed, we mourned and still are. We knew that the community would understand our pain and we understand the references we made. Please read them
I had Dyslexia as a kid and could not read very well and did not like reading because of it. Now, I have audible and listen to all the books I missed out on as a kid. In fact, I am currently listening to the 4th Harry Potter book and they are worth the read! It’s never to late to read a book!
I completely understand what you mean with the saying „I wouldn‘t even if I could“. I‘m blind on one eye and I have an implant regulating the pressure of my eye. This prevents me from being able to skydive, bungeejump or do skuba diving. And I also always tell people I wouldn‘t even want to do these things. And I honestly don‘t think I would, if I suddenly could
Yes! Listen to the audiobooks of Harry Potter now you wont regret it! I hated reading when I was younger so I never read Harry Potter even though all of my friends did and then 10 years later I felt so left out and I had the same thing going on where I was like yeah I just never wanted to read them but thought in my mind that I was just too late to the game. I then decided to start reading them last year and they are so good that I am happy I decided to join the game later better than never.
I have done some of these things, but not all of them. I read Harry Potter in high school, learned a second language, have kind of seen stars, have seen freckles but only on my arms, and play video games. I only know my name in cursive and even that isn't great, I don't have a license and have never driven a car, have never watched sports, and have never gone snowboarding.
Oh man, my friend had Fusion Frenzy! It was the default game when a bunch of us were at her house, but I hated it cause every mini-game had different rules and controls and I never knew what I was supposed to be doing :/ haha
I have also never snowboarded, got a drivers licence, learned how to read cursive, or learned French (well I did learn those last two but they went in one ear and out the other). I'm not blind, but this was kinda funny.
I understand your felling about Harry Potter. However I think it's fine to read them now for the first time! If you want to of course! There's a lot of Harry Potter groups that are happy to welcome new members everyday! For gaming yes! it would be interesting! We follow you for you, so whatever you like will be welcome by your fans ^^
I love reading children's books as an adult! A good children's book as amazing and it has a nice lightness to it. So if you still wanna read Harry Potter I'd say go for it (but maybe don't pay for it because we don't wanna support JKR, I'm sure there are tons of free downloads)
As a legally blind subscriber, I would love a video of you trying out several video games made for the blind! There are a lot more options these days but I have never tried any myself.
As someone who works for a video game store, I know Xbox tries to make stuff very accessible. So maybe Molly can reach out to them and do a fun collab!!
My husband made a game for a contest that's played in darkness using sound. It needs some work to be full acceseble since the menu doesn't speak when you mouse over the options to choose the tutorial/levels. And there's a replay to watch where you went within the level which a blind person wouldn't be able to see. But the actual game of using sound to find the person you need to rescue should be accessible to a blind person. That's what he was hoping for. It's called Lights Out by Sebjugate on itch. Best played with headphones and your eyes closed.
Minecraft is also doing some great things with accessability. Not sure if it is fully accessible to blind people though but they do have some functions for blind people like a narrator. No matter what game you choose it might be interesting to give a bit of comment/review of how accessible the blind accessibility mode actually is.
I would love to see a video of you trying accessible video games! As an avid (sighted) gamer myself I think it would be fascinating to learn how blind people experience video games
My friend in high school was legally blind, but they still made her attend drivers education in school. She broke down and cried almost every class. It was terrible.
@@AdmiringObserverR no, no. Just drivers education. Behind the wheel is for after you put in 45 hours in car with your learners permit, and it isn't connected to school.
I grew up in the mountains and ended up marrying a man who had never seen much snow. His first time visiting my parents' house was in the middle of winter 🤣 He got a crash course in icy roads, snow chains, and whiteout conditions 🤣
One hundred percent would love a video of you trying to play video games. Because it would be cool to see you have that fun, but also because I can't really picture how that would work and would love to get educated.
I have a disability that makes it hard for me to walk. Rather than say, "I don't want to" instead I say, "it has dropped down the list of priorities! I'll do it some day, just have more important things to do now."
You're definitely not missing out on cursive. The most annoying part to me is that I still write it almost exactly as we learned in school but a lot of people still have a hard time reading it lol
For me this is so weird because in Brazil cursive is mandatory and if you don't learn it, you can't advance. When you get older it's optional, you can use whatever you like and style however you like (as long as everyone can read it), but you have to know both because cursive is so popular here!
I am totally blind and I am 21. I am so happy for blind children today even growing up in the 2000s there were less opportunities than there are now. Also, I did not start reading the Harry Potter series until I was 14. Only read the first book and did not really get into it a whole lot but I would definitely give it a try. You may end up loving it. Thank you for all the amazing content.
It's never too late to read a good book no matter if it's a kids book or not. And the books cover so much more of Harry's journey than the movies could show. My favorite genre is teen/young adult and I'm in my 30's.
Hey I’m 29 and I STILL listen to Harry Potter on audible. I’ve relistened to it probably a dozen times. Go for it if you want to! Keep in mind the first two books are geared towards kids, so it gets better as you go!
Exactly 👌 audiobooks by Stephen Fry are awesome. And yes first two books are noticeably more for kids it's true I also wanted to write that, but those are also the shortest ones :) and honestly I love them too 😁 I'm 26 😁
I'm 29 too and now I read Harry Potter every few years, but when I was growing up I was really crazy about the series and I was reading it on repeat, jst adding the next book that was coming out at the time. I'm sure I've read the first book at least 30 times xD
I started listening to the books on audible at 21. I’m almost 25 now and still listen to them all the time. I had never read the books growing up, only watched the movies. So it was a great experience for me!
Harry Potter narrated by Stephen Fry Is a must do for everyone. His voice is so soothing and the books are very descriptive. People miss a lot just watching the movies.
Yeah. I feel like just watching the movies is like only reading 4 books out of the 7. And there are also great audiobook editions on Spotify or UA-cam nowadays
regardless of age I actually watched the movies as I grew up with them which was great but I read all the books (heard audiobooks) at 21 and there are actually some really complex themes which you can truly empathise better with after experiencing those emotions yourself which is more likely to be the case at an older age
I'm actually sad for her that she never had access to the audiobooks as a kid. When I was a kid I remember my parents got me some of the Harry Potter audiobooks on cassette to play on long car rides. I was not a good kid on long car trips and audiobooks calmed me. This would have been in roughly the late 90s. Maybe Canada didn't sell them or her parents didn't know or couldn't get them.
As a 30 year old who did not read Harry Potter until I was 29 (because I grew up thinking it was “dumb”) I highly recommend joining the late-to-the-party crew. The audiobooks are great and I’m now a grown adult always looking for an excuse to talk Harry Potter :)
Same! I am blind, so I didn’t read Harry Potter when I was younger for the same reason as Molly. But also kind of thought it was dumb. I listened to all of the audiobooks last year at the age of 28 and now I’m obsessed
I'm nearly 40 and still buy merchandising from Harry Potter and took a trip to London 2 years ago to go to the Harry Potter studios. I think there's no age limit for this :-) (And I'm even worse with Doctor Who ^^)
Me after seeing the first 3 things she’s never done: “Molly, I’m fully sighted and haven’t done those either hahaha!” (for different reasons, of course, I just thought that was funny)
I read it when I was 15 and back then I thought I was super old to read it because everyone else had read it when they were like 12 😂. But I completely agree with you, no one is ever too old to read Harry Potter!
I read Harry Potter for the first time when I was 25. Totally worth it. Also, I still read junior fiction as a grown woman because why the heck not. There are so many good stories out there and it makes no sense to say only kids can have them.
I agree ! Children and teens books are really good for everyone. It's like games, it's 9+, not 9 years olds only. (But I'm a school librarian so I might be biased 😅)
Yes please do the gaming video! For one of my courses, I did some research on accessibility in video games and they are doing some amazing jobs with accessible games! So I think it would be fun to watch and even educational!
“It’s easier to tell myself it’s a choice not to do something instead of admitting I can’t do it.” I didn’t realize I did this until you said that and honestly it has given me so much clarity like you saying that was low key a eureka moment. I say I don’t want kids bc it’s easier to admit than saying I can’t have kids because I wouldn’t be physically capable of taking care of them.
This is probably so true. It’s better not to fight something that we just can’t do sometimes. I’ve never wanted to drive a car and that’s easier to take I think.
One of the things I’ve noticed is a lot of stories people tell about people “faking” disability may well be something a disabled person told them for exactly this reason. I’ve occasionally had an opportunity to help someone think it through - “Okay, a disabled person said this. Does it make sense? What might be more likely?”
Same! I love kids but I'm terrified of passing on my genetics (ocular albinism, glaucoma, hemophilia b, early onset arthritis and all sorts of blegh) and I don't think I could ever keep up with a kid with my knees... Plus as a gay man who is also disabled, I know that I wont ever be approved as a foster parent and it's highly unlikely that I'll ever be allowed to adopt. It's easier to say that I've just chosen to have parrots instead of children and that my birds aren't kid friendly, than it is to face all the physical and societal reasons that kids aren't an option for me.
I can see, and yet... I've never wanted to drive a car 'cause it terrifies me! And I for sure don't know how traffic works... When I see a stop sign, I expect drivers to stop. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. 🤷♀️ It seems simple enough, but I find it very confusing. I have tried skiing a few times, and I've given up because of fear 😱. I also don't play videogames and most card games, or watch sports 'cause I just don't get it. I understand the very basics, but I just can't follow.
The Harry Potter audiobooks are EVERYTHING!!!!!! You are never too old for Harry Potter and the books are even better than the movies. I’m 23 and I still listen to them! Molly won’t see this but it has to be put out there lmao!!! The Jim Dale ones are the best
Depends on what book if you ask me. Fifth book is really boring and way too long. And I just get so angry while reading it because Umbridge sucks and the ministry also sucks and Sirius is irresponsible and also he’s mean to Kreacher and Dumbledore doesn’t give Harry any information even though it would be real easy for him to just write a letter or forward the message through someone else. For example, SIRIUS! He’s already stuck feeling sorry for himself because he isn’t allowed to do anything. Sorry it just hurts you know😂 The movie is less stressful to watch because they make some of the anger inducing moments into comedic moments instead. Also they didn’t have time to show Sirius being a moody teenager and instead he’s just perfect lol.
The Irish translation of freckles is Pógíní (little kisses) Gréine (sun) and who wouldn't like little kisses from the sun. While you still can't see them, its closer to something you can feel.
I vote for audio books now. My younger brother is severely dyslexic and couldn't read long books so I read the Harry Potter series to him and my other brothers out loud as a teenager. I didn't want him to miss out and my other brothers were refusing to read them in solidarity, but they all wanted me to read the books everyday.
As far as being “too old” to enjoy something ... what is the age limit for having fun and enjoying life? 10? 12? 16? 25?... what are you stating as too old for happiness?
I didn’t get into the Harry Potter series until I was in my mid-30s, and I’m in my mid-50s now and I still love them! I reread the series about once a year. I also love Lord of the rings, Narnia, Valdemar, Star Wars and lots of other great fantasy series!
Molly, I recommend checking out Potterless! It’s a podcast about a man who read the Harry Potter books for the first time at 24-26 years old (took him 2 years to read the books and then he went through other stuff in the HP world up to his current age of 28 I think?) it’s never too late to read the books if you are interested in them!
I was raised in a very religious family where Harry Potter was considered sinful and satanic, my mom let me watch the first movie so I could see just how bad it was but it backfired LMAO I loved it and watched all the other movies in secret, in college I finally read them and loved them so much I read them again every summer, after a few years I even manage to convince my parents to watch the movies with me!!! They're still not fans lol
I am so happy that you read the books 📖 and watched the movies 🎥 even though your family isn’t into it. And I am not surprised that you loved it when you watched the first movie, like who wouldn’t
You should ABSOLUTELY listen to Harry Potter. I am 28 and just finished reading the books with my 9 year old, and I kept wanting to read after she went to bed. Also used to listen to the audio books while I ran in college. You are never too old to enjoy things kids enjoy. We’re all young at heart!
Molly people are terrible at describing freckles. They are small spots that are slightly darker than the overall skin tone and they generally don't have distinct and sharp edges. They are not brown dots.
yep, not always round and brown...mine are irregular shapes and kinda reddish brown and everywhere the sun has ever touched... must be my Anglo Celtic bloodlines, i.e. Irish, Scottish and Welsh with a couple of drops of Spanish... ;)
I’d love to see you try gaming! I think video games with beginners are some of the most accessible and entertaining. I’d never thought about how O & M makes you have to study driving and I’d bet city planning to an extent
It’s never a bad thing to go back and catch up! I spent my childhood clinically depressed and missed out on a lot of normal kid activities because I didn’t have the energy for them or was too sad to leave my room. Now that I’m older, I’ve realized its important to get to some of those developmental moments. While we can’t back and do anything different, we can take advantage of what we have now. We can start chipping away at our lists together! Love you girl!
@@MelB868 ah yes, the old rule that states children are not people, and are therefore not allowed to have emotions such as sadness. I forgot, my bad girl
I refused to read or watch harry potter growing up, have now listened to the audio books like 10 times at least. i am 22 and listened to it the first time about a year ago, its never too late.
Please read the Harry Potter books! They have a different meaning as an adult and truly I think you’ll enjoy the magic. The audiobooks are really well done!
My boyfriend is 39, im 27, i grew up obsessed with Harry Potter, he only saw the movies. Now we listen the audio HP books before sleep since pandemic and its the best thing.
That’s so nice!! I love doing things like this. Something that is in the same vein: my twin sister and I used to sometimes read a book together because we shared a room, so every night we would rotate who reads the book aloud. I feel like books and audio books are a highly underrated for of group entertainment
Molly, I wanted to ask you if you could do a video about how to find your style. I feel like I don’t have a style and I have a hard time putting outfits together
There is this podcast called Potterless, which is about a 25-28 year old guy who read the Harry Potter books for the first time (25 when he started), so you are definitely not late to the game.
I wasn't allowed to read the books as a kid either... for basically the same reason. I did not watch the movies until the summer before college (2012).
I was married before I read or watched any of them... for much the same reason. My mom was very against them and there are so many good books out there it wasn't worth the hassle to watch one
The Harry Potter one is funny! I grew up Jehovah's Witness, and my mom said I couldn't read it. Then I was way behind everyone else, so I just never did it. lol
Molly is not even 30 yet and she’s seen a lot of amazing things be developed to assist blind people in her lifetime. The point I’m trying to make is that it’s impressive how much technology has improved in the last decade or so and it’s cool to think about what might be available for blind people in the future.
I can't read out loud. I can read at a decent speed but it's extremely hard to verbalize at the same speed as I read. My brain just can't do it. It's embarrassing for me and annoying for everyone else. Some people just can't.
Great video!!! You are NEVER too young to read anything, as a huge Harry Potter fan, I can say that you still may enjoy the audio books! Don’t let any opportunity pass you by because it’s too late. It’s only too late when the door closes. Thank you so much for making content!!!
@@nicoleheartscheer thank you! I came here to say this. I won’t be introducing Harry Potter to my kids because I don’t want to further this women’s name.
@@nicoleheartscheer yes!! i really want my children (if i have any) to be introduced to the thing that was literally my whole childhood and still is but i will be giving them MY books and movies. i’m never giving that bitch money ever again. and of course i’ll be telling them that daniel radcliffe and emma watson wrote the books
It’s never stupid to read children’s books no matter your age! If you think it’s something you’ll enjoy then absolutely give it a go!! HP was (and still is) very comforting for me and I personally advocate that everyone try it!!
As a game designer, I would love to see you try some video games! I don't know any off the top of my mind that would be accessible for fully blind people, but I'm sure there are some 🤔
It's definitely worth it to go back and read the books. You're never too old for Harry Potter. I've re-read the series every Christmas break for the last 10+ years, I'm 21 now 😂. And the books are ssooo much better than the movies.
As someone who also didn’t read Harry Potter until I became an adult, I highly recommend reading them as an adult! If you like the movies, reading the books just adds more magic to the story.
Molly, if you do read the HP series, there is also a great podcast called Potterless, where the guy reads HP for the first time as a 27ish year-old and comments on in as he goes. It's so much fun. Highly recommend doing both. 😊
Some more Morden games have really good accessibilities. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of The Last of Us Part 2. As a sighted person I use them to make the game hilariously easy for the hardest differculty throphy but it's supposed to make the game playable for a blind person. I remember reading an article about the game where a blind person was crying because they where able to play the game. Maybe once Covid is over you can visit your brother and try to play one of those games?
I totally relate on the "It's a choice!" thing, I'm legally blind and as a kid I'd tell people that I was never going to learn to drive or own a car because "I care about my carbon footprint!", and while it is very true that I do care about the environment, learning to drive was never an option for me to begin with XD
Same. My doctors said that u might be able to pass for day time driving only but it's be very slim. And when I tell people I walk everywhere they look at me like I'm crazy. And say that they could never walk to work and could never. Honestly I feel cars made people slightly lazy when just walking to a place that's not even a mile away 🙃
I see Molly, I click 😍 P.S. I am also an adult lady who only just read all of the Harry Potter books via audiobook last year and I LOVED it! Jim Dayle’s narration is perfection. I say go for it!
I’ve always found it strange that then narrator for the American version is British, but not the same person who narrates the British version (Stephen Fry).
fellow canadian here, growing up we only had basic cable, so i never got to watch all the “cool” shows my friends did on family channel and teletoon. so now in my 20’s i’ve watched hannah montana, 6teen, etc and it’s so cool being able to 😹 you are never too old to do something/buy something that childhood you dreamed of! 💓
In 2002 my school teacher used to play the audio versions of the Harry Potter books (1-4 because that’s was all that was out at the time). I actually found the audiobooks a better experience than reading them.
Am i the only one who was really anxious through the whole video because of the cactus in the back? Idk, I’m just really anxious about cactuses.♡︎ But loved your video♡︎
I hated my freckles as a kid and I would wish they were gone constantly. When I was an angsty teen I didn’t spend much time in the sun so they faded pretty hardcore. Now I spend a ton of time in the sun cause I live by the beach and I love that my freckles are back in full force. It was really weird to see my face without them when they were gone.
1. It's okay nurture your inner child by doing the things you always wished you could. 2. Most people your age don't read and write cursive. Schools where I'm from stopped teaching it in the late 90's. 3. It's okay if you've outgrown Harry Potter and it's okay to do what you like. 4. Please give Gallop and Lavender lots of love, especially Gallop because he's awesome.
You're never too old to do something you wanted to do. I will give you what I think is a great example. There are people who learn how to read and write in their 40s, 50s or even later, because they did not have the possibility to learn these very basic things when they were young. Everyone else learns these things as children, but that does not make it something that only children can do. It is never too late to do something you want. I am turning 27 this year and I still enjoy re-reading fairy tales or discovering new ones I might've missed as a kid.
The fact you were denied entry with Gallop and that this happens regularly is disgusting. That the businesses denying you entry don’t know it’s illegal never mind embarrassing and isolating is something I find unbelievable - I’m so sorry, but well done for sticking up for yourself and getting it sorted- hopefully the next person with a guide dog won’t find themselves in the same position - take care - love and respect from Southampton, England x
For the video games, check out the channel game maker's toolkit! Every year he does a year in review video of accessibility in video games in which goes over all the games that did accessibility well that year as well as all the innovations within the video game accessibility space! His 2020 video included a game which fully blind players have completed, and he also has a designing for disability series on his channel with a specific episode dedicated to colourblindness and low vision.
I “read” the Harry Potter series for the first time when I was well into my twenties. The audiobooks are so fantastically narrated- I highly recommend them!!
What's one thing you've never done or tried and would love to? :)
I would love to become a police officer in the future.
This question is actually much harder than I thought, I can't really tell 🤔 maybe I will realise something later 🤔

Fun fact: Harry Potter was one of the only series available in braille at the same time as it was in print. #brailleWin
that must be some BIG books tho. I have dyslexia and reading was a pain, and harry potter books are so big (or for me they feel very big)
@@Vandiiis trust me they are.
Also the audiobooks came out just a few months after the books
Wow
@@Vandiiis don't worry, they are big books even in print. They were my first big books as a kid and I felt SO proud reading them
My friend in high school was legally blind, but they still made her attend drivers education in school. She broke down and cried almost every class. It was terrible.
wh- what possessed them to do such stupid crap?
Why the flip did they make her do that? If I'd been her parents I'd have been raising hell with the school!

"I never went Snowboarding" is such a Canadian statement. My initial thought was, "who has?"
Haha I had the same thought. I’ve only seen snow 2 times and it was when it was melting so there was barley any
@Kianna
Feel sympathy for you. Snow and ice and winter sports are awesome!!!
I grew up in the mountains and ended up marrying a man who had never seen much snow. His first time visiting my parents' house was in the middle of winter 🤣 He got a crash course in icy roads, snow chains, and whiteout conditions 🤣

It would be cool to see a video of 9 things you’ve gotten to do because you’re blind. It would be cool to see both perspectives.
Yeees totallyy!!
Great idea! ☺️ Hopefully Molly will make a video on this topic!

Good one! 😂
omgs that’s so SMART! can i steal this?
You're definitely not missing out on cursive. The most annoying part to me is that I still write it almost exactly as we learned in school but a lot of people still have a hard time reading it lol
For me this is so weird because in Brazil cursive is mandatory and if you don't learn it, you can't advance. When you get older it's optional, you can use whatever you like and style however you like (as long as everyone can read it), but you have to know both because cursive is so popular here!
It’s so hard to read yet I’m not blind.
I would absolutely watch a series where Molly plays videos games or reads harry potter.
Yesssssss
Yes yes yes !!!
Molly: I've never read harry potter
Me: this video should be sponsored by audible
yep lol
I am totally blind and I am 21. I am so happy for blind children today even growing up in the 2000s there were less opportunities than there are now. Also, I did not start reading the Harry Potter series until I was 14. Only read the first book and did not really get into it a whole lot but I would definitely give it a try. You may end up loving it. Thank you for all the amazing content.
❤️❤️❤️
It's never too late to read a good book no matter if it's a kids book or not. And the books cover so much more of Harry's journey than the movies could show. My favorite genre is teen/young adult and I'm in my 30's.
I work in a library, and I regularly check out-and end up reading cover to cover-children’s books and YA books.
I highly recommend the Jim Dale version! His voices are incredible
I started listening to the books on audible at 21. I’m almost 25 now and still listen to them all the time. I had never read the books growing up, only watched the movies. So it was a great experience for me!
@@nattcattt I have just listened to all Harry Potter audiobooks in lockdown and I am 32 😅 no age limit for potter heads!
Harry Potter narrated by Stephen Fry Is a must do for everyone. His voice is so soothing and the books are very descriptive. People miss a lot just watching the movies.
Totally agree, the audiobooks are amazing
I prefer Jim Dale! :) but yes! The audiobooks are so great and I still listen to them despite being an adult. 🤷🏻♀️
Yeah. I feel like just watching the movies is like only reading 4 books out of the 7.
And there are also great audiobook editions on Spotify or UA-cam nowadays
regardless of age
I actually watched the movies as I grew up with them which was great
but I read all the books (heard audiobooks) at 21
and there are actually some really complex themes which you can truly empathise better with after experiencing those emotions yourself which is more likely to be the case at an older age
I think there's no age limit for this :-) (And I'm even worse with Doctor Who ^^)
So glad I'm not alone. 29 and just read the first two books. And watched the first two movies after reading the books.
Same here, I read all of the books last year (I'm 28) and now looking for an excuse to read them again! 😍
@@aleksandrasimovic5408 just do it!

“He was very cool, I was very bullied” 😂😭 i’m sorry but the way you said that was funny .
No one is ever too old to read Harry Potter for the first time :)
Right. Im almost 60 have read Harry Potter series multiple times over since they came out
I mean audiobooks are great 🤷🏾
The audiobooks are also Narrated by Stephen Fry (at least the version id recommend), he does an amazing job with them.
They came out while I was in my twenties, read the books and watched the movies, you aren’t too old for it.
I read it when I was 15 and back then I thought I was super old to read it because everyone else had read it when they were like 12 😂. But I completely agree with you, no one is ever too old to read Harry Potter!
I’m 21, and currently reading Harry Potter cause growing up, we didn’t had the money to buy the books 😭 IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!
I'm so happy for you. I love these books and I couldn't imagine not having read them. They were huge in my family. Everyone in my family read them. 💜
I like that! Not growing up w/out money! I mean I like what you had to say ☺️
Just started trying to read them in Spanish. I thought my Spanish was pretty good and now I know it’s not.
Same! I read it in my 20s and I loved it!
Yaaay! I think they are worth a read even when you're not a kid
Thank you I was felling alone and immature
Same! I was 26 when I read them for the first time.
Lol I’m 26 and only shop in the teen fiction aisles
I first read them at 20, because before that I thought I was just too late. Just read them if you want to, I think people any age can enjoy them:)
I honestly always forget Molly is blind until she has a blind girl moment.
Yes please do the gaming video! For one of my courses, I did some research on accessibility in video games and they are doing some amazing jobs with accessible games! So I think it would be fun to watch and even educational!
It's never too late to read Harry Potter ❤️
My mom read the books with me and my sisters as they were coming out. She loved them and she was in her 40s! It’s definitely never too late.
“It’s easier to tell myself it’s a choice not to do something instead of admitting I can’t do it.”
I didn’t realize I did this until you said that and honestly it has given me so much clarity like you saying that was low key a eureka moment.
♡
Sorry it just hurts you know😂
The movie is less stressful to watch because they make some of the anger inducing moments into comedic moments instead. Also they didn’t have time to show Sirius being a moody teenager and instead he’s just perfect lol.
YES!! I’m 35 and I still listen to them!!
Hey Molly! Theres a game called "Lost and Hound" thats a fully accessible game for the blind! You should play it *insert smiley face*
Now we need Molly to read HP for first time!

Molly, good news! The sun is a star, so you have seen a star. :)
The Irish translation of freckles is Pógíní (little kisses) Gréine (sun) and who wouldn't like little kisses from the sun. While you still can't see them, its closer to something you can feel.
Listen to the Harry Potter audiobooks read by Jim Dale!!! Amazing, amazing reader.
I never really liked audio books; however lately I've been using audio books from Scribd at night when I'm going to sleep.
this is so sweet
that is the sweetest thing I've ever heard
As far as being “too old” to enjoy something ... what is the age limit for having fun and enjoying life? 10? 12? 16? 25?... what are you stating as too old for happiness?
I didn’t get into the Harry Potter series until I was in my mid-30s, and I’m in my mid-50s now and I still love them! I reread the series about once a year. I also love Lord of the rings, Narnia, Valdemar, Star Wars and lots of other great fantasy series!

Molly, I recommend checking out Potterless! It’s a podcast about a man who read the Harry Potter books for the first time at 24-26 years old (took him 2 years to read the books and then he went through other stuff in the HP world up to his current age of 28 I think?) it’s never too late to read the books if you are interested in them!
i LOVE that sunflower shirt 10/10 it makes me feel like all warm and fuzzy

I was raised in a very religious family where Harry Potter was considered sinful and satanic, my mom let me watch the first movie so I could see just how bad it was but it backfired LMAO I loved it and watched all the other movies in secret, in college I finally read them and loved them so much I read them again every summer, after a few years I even manage to convince my parents to watch the movies with me!!! They're still not fans lol
You are an idol🎉✨☺️
I am so happy that you read the books 📖 and watched the movies 🎥 even though your family isn’t into it. And I am not surprised that you loved it when you watched the first movie, like who wouldn’t
You should ABSOLUTELY listen to Harry Potter. I am 28 and just finished reading the books with my 9 year old, and I kept wanting to read after she went to bed. Also used to listen to the audio books while I ran in college. You are never too old to enjoy things kids enjoy. We’re all young at heart!
"I have never seen a star" That's so sad! 😭
Molly people are terrible at describing freckles. They are small spots that are slightly darker than the overall skin tone and they generally don't have distinct and sharp edges. They are not brown dots.
Yes, they are very tiny circles and they can be all over your body, and some people have more than others, but they are very cute in my opinion
yep, not always round and brown...mine are irregular shapes and kinda reddish brown and everywhere the sun has ever touched... must be my Anglo Celtic bloodlines, i.e.
A kid has nothing to be depressed about
I was sad seeing my great grand daddy’s house burn but that was the only thing that gave me sadness

Ahhh I said the same thing!!! I love his podcast
I didn’t read the Harry Potter books until I was a senior in high school because my parents thought I would get into witchcraft if I read them 😂😂😂
I wasn't allowed to read the books as a kid either... for basically the same reason. I did not watch the movies until the summer before college (2012).
So happy for you that you finally make it✨
I was married before I read or watched any of them... for much the same reason. My mom was very against them and there are so many good books out there it wasn't worth the hassle to watch one
Basically the same as well XD
The Harry Potter one is funny! I grew up Jehovah's Witness, and my mom said I couldn't read it. Then I was way behind everyone else, so I just never did it. lol
Molly is not even 30 yet and she’s seen a lot of amazing things be developed to assist blind people in her lifetime. The point I’m trying to make is that it’s impressive how much technology has improved in the last decade or so and it’s cool to think about what might be available for blind people in the future.
I have a big family and as a way to avoid anyone reading ahead and spoiling the Harry Potter books, my older sister read them aloud for all of us.
On freckles - they’re face sparkles! I get then when I’ve been in the sun :) they’re like little face decorations that make you look young and alive!
Thats a really cool way of describing them!!
Why couldn't Mollys brother read the Harry Potter books out loud to her? Like when they were kids or her mother. So she didn't miss out.

It’s never stupid to read children’s books no matter your age! If you think it’s something you’ll enjoy then absolutely give it a go!! HP was (and still is) very comforting for me and I personally advocate that everyone try it!!

I didn’t read HP until I was an adult and it was still magical

Molly, I’m sighted and just now making my way through the Harry Potter audiobooks for language practice. Go for it, you’re in no way late to the game!
I would LOVE to experience you playing accessible games! :D Yes please do a video on it!
I wish you can see how perfect your shirt looks with your hair color and the background 🌻❤!
It's a real struggle every day! Especially with invisible disabilities.
